The best of times, the worst of times
Who: Anyone on the Triton's Mistress!
Where: Triton's Mistress
When: Backdated to June 10th through the 15th,16th?
What: A combination log to include the following subjects:
Welcoming a new crew member!!!
A Casual Dinner Conversation
The Tragedy of Eternal Bliss
The copycat destruction of Deesuko Ballia
And whatever else comes up~!
Warnings: Shouldn't be too bad towards the beginning. Language might become an issue in places XD. Pg-13!
When everyone had returned to their own ages, it had been expected by some that things would return to some semblance of normalcy. Unfortunately, there had been a slight hiccup in that plan but by roughly the 7th or 8th that too was put right. The stop at Himmelin had also afforded the crew an opportunity to break into a new line of trading that should fill their pockets with dubloons given enough time and the right connections.
With this stroke of good fortune.. surely more was to come........
[Feel free to make your own threads under the different sections or make a section of your own if you think of something you'd like to add that doesn't fit any of them. Just let us know what it is in the header and we're good to go!
HAVE FUN!]

"I only work for donations. If I wanted to be bossed around, I'd go home."

This said with the fullest confidence in Yato's lack of ability to do so. No one else had been able to will themselves away so it stood to reason he was as trapped as the rest of them.
"We are all the unfortunate guests of Davy Jones until such time as we are released, which does mean we have to work together. As for your 'donations' you have been accepting donations since you joined the crew. Those meals Lenalee prepares or you, the roof over your head, the bed you sleep in at night, these things were all donated by the rest of the crew. It's past time you helped repay them."

Yato pursed his lips, but said nothing. He had no valid argument to make on that front. He had been fed, he did have a ship to sail on and despite the fact that they were all mocking him it was fine. He turned the pencil in his hand and tucked it behind his ear before closing the sketchpad and sliding it into his coat. He got up off the railing, pulling the sword he was sitting on out from under him. Yato slung it around his back. He raised his hand and took the mop.
"Fine."
no subject
"Excellent. It shouldn't be too much trouble for you, Connor was at it only the other day."
Haytham stepped back once Yato took the mop to give other man ample space to collect his things and the pail.
It must have been difficult for a deity to come up against such a devote non-believer but Haytham's experiences had proven to him that there was no such thing as a God. God was only an idea created by man to control the populace. False hope and fake miracles, the truth was there hidden behind the lies. Man was created not by a God but by a more advanced civilization. They were slaves, inferior in design and built to serve their masters. Or at least... this was the way humanity had started in his world. While those 'Gods' were a long time dead now and most of humanity didn't even know of their existence beyond legend and roman myth, the Templars knew. Given this knowledge not being skeptical of Yato's claims would have been outside Haytham's nature.

He rolled his eyes a little and sighed before he began mopping. He was however, not intending to spend all day doing it, so he moved about quickly enough.
Yato was tired of arguing. He was painfully aware of what he was, the reasons for his existence and everything else pertaining to it. Just because Haytham thought he knew what a God was, didn't mean he did.

"I'll leave you to it then."

Even though he was summoned to this place, it was somewhat depressing. Yukine wasn't there to entertain him, and he couldn't text Hiyori. He found himself missing Kofuku and Daikoku as well. There was no Capyper in this land to bring joy and it was wearing on him. He was surrounded with humans who were always watching him and judging him, far far too young to do so.
He really wished his skills would come into play so he could be left alone. In doing so, Haytham may realize that Yato vanishes from his sight, and if he should then look closely in his direction he will still be there, mopping the deck.

He did not wish to disturb the work in progress but this was a discovery that required a deeper examination.
"That's an unusual skill. You can actually make yourself difficult to see?"
no subject
"How many times have you met a god? Of course I can. I move around the living world all the time, it's just that no one usually sees me. Here is an exception."
no subject
He thought again of Elissa who could become invisible to infiltrate ships, or Connor who had control over something that gave him strange skills beyond a normal human, even Alex held the supernatural skills of a 'vampire' in the evenings.
"Can you do more with your abilities?"
no subject
Yato sounded incredibly annoyed by this, rather than just a bored tone. He was used to people asking questions and being skeptical, but it was usually momentary.
"Believe it or don't, I'm far too old to care what a mere human whelp thinks of me anyway." Except he did care and Hiyori had completely spoiled him on the matter. "At least I'm a nice guy and not teaching you a lesson for your insolence. I know many a God who would."
He'd seen things go south for Kofuku more than enough times to know how she got when she was mad. This would annoy her on his behalf and no one wanted Kofuku annoyed.
"I have many abilities and skills, but I'm not sure how they are terribly relevant, considering you don't believe them anyway."
no subject
Him, a whelp? That very idea brought a smug smile to his face. Teach him a lesson indeed... Yato was a noisy little guy, he would get credit for that and very little else.
"If a lesson needs to be taught then I will be glad to instruct you. As I've already said ability is far different from 'unexplainable God-like powers'. I've seen some of your skill I might be inclined to believe the rest."
Unless the man made it sound too outlandish... or insulted him again. It can be a problem when two hard headed people firm in their positions try to have a conversation.
no subject
"Provided with the right tools I can erase your entire existence. Friends, family, acquaintances...every last one of them would have never heard your name. You would find yourself alone and isolated. I sever the bonds between humans and don't you tempt me."
no subject
He had no family and very few friends. No close family anyway. Everyone who had been dear to him as a child had been destroyed by the actions of unknown assailants. Now there was only Connor but if he were to forget who his father was it might be all the better. The Order would be protected from his interference.
There were a few friends and acquaintances here but... really only one whose presence would be so deeply missed as to cause him pause. But, if that bond were so easily broken maybe it too would be better off done? Love was meant to be stronger than that.
Haytham stepped closer until there was barely a hair's width between them. The smaller man's eyes were targeted with an icy glare of his own tinged by his years as an assassin, a piercing stare that screamed taking one more life would mean nothing to him.
"I needn't go looking for the correct tools. I have the means to kill you right where you stand."
The hidden blade on his wrist slid from its housing with the threatening grating of metal against metal.
"It's you who should be cautious of tempting me."
no subject
"If death is what you're seeking, I can certainly oblige." The ornate sword he'd purchased and carried around was pulled out of the scabbard. "Humans die so very easily." He murmured just above a whisper.
"You're a thousand years too early to challenge me to a fight, kid. Doing so, you would be incredibly sorry."
no subject
"What I desire is for you to stop acting as if you are the most important man on the ship. Like it or not, you are part of a crew now. Your actions must take that into consideration."
no subject
no subject
"Then show that through your actions. So far despite your lofty condescending words you've down little but sulk and whine. You have called me a child but you are the one acting like one."
no subject
no subject
"If you expect tender words then you need to do something to earn them."
They were at am impasse. Yato saw no reason to help out with out respect and Haytham saw no reason to respect some one who hadn't earned it.

As firm as Yato stood on his feet, Haytham stood as firmly on his positions.
