The best of times, the worst of times
Who: Anyone on the Triton's Mistress!
Where: Triton's Mistress
When: Backdated to June 10th through the 15th,16th?
What: A combination log to include the following subjects:
Welcoming a new crew member!!!
A Casual Dinner Conversation
The Tragedy of Eternal Bliss
The copycat destruction of Deesuko Ballia
And whatever else comes up~!
Warnings: Shouldn't be too bad towards the beginning. Language might become an issue in places XD. Pg-13!
When everyone had returned to their own ages, it had been expected by some that things would return to some semblance of normalcy. Unfortunately, there had been a slight hiccup in that plan but by roughly the 7th or 8th that too was put right. The stop at Himmelin had also afforded the crew an opportunity to break into a new line of trading that should fill their pockets with dubloons given enough time and the right connections.
With this stroke of good fortune.. surely more was to come........
[Feel free to make your own threads under the different sections or make a section of your own if you think of something you'd like to add that doesn't fit any of them. Just let us know what it is in the header and we're good to go!
HAVE FUN!]

At whichwherenow? Is that an island or a shop on the main island?
All right, that wasn't true at all, she'd lived this long despite frequently taking stupid risks. She survived in part because she paid attention to details.
She adjusted her grip on the gun so she was holding it properly, feeling how the grip settled itself into the palm of her hand. She she did aim and fire, she deliberately pointed the weapon over the side of the ship, into the open air. For the moment, she didn't want to hit anything, not until she knew what she was doing.
The kick surprised her. You didn't get that sort of recoil firing a bow, or even a crossbow, not to the same extent. It wasn't a huge amount, but it was noticeable, and would've been enough to throw off her aim for a second shot if she'd been aiming. And it implied a lot of force. "That's impressive," she said, meaning it.
A west wild themed island
"If you are interested in learning how to use one of these yourself we have several options in the hold, other pistols and even rifles which have superior range and even greater recoil."
He had personally made certain that the armory was full and well equipped when they were last on Gun Frontier island and since then Archer had been busy at work creating more ammunition and improving weapons of his own there was plenty to go around.
Ahh, gotcha.
She was a lot more tempted to ask him to take it apart again and show her how it worked, especially now that she'd fired it. Of course, having aimed into the open sea, she could only make a guess at how far the thing--bullet?--had gone. Whatever this thing was, it was a lot easier to use, and a lot deadlier, than any weapon she'd ever run across. Which was both a good and a bad thing.
"I am interested, yes." She aimed at a spot on the horizon in order to test the sight he'd mentioned, and fired again. "Do a lot of people out here use these? Because if so, I'm going to need to get some better armor."
These things would pierce her leather armor, good as it was (and enchanted to boot), like butter. That was an uncomfortable thought.

At the prompting he stood and pulled a second weapon from his belt. This one was an older model, with a large almost bell-shaped ending on its barrel. It was a much heavier piece too, built to withstand the force of the small yet unstable explosions that propelled it's shot... and hopefully prevent backfires.
"Most use weapons more like this one where they still need to be packed with black powder and wadding before they can be fired. The guns that they have on gun frontier are highly superior to these weapons."
Still... he couldn't abandon it entirely. It was a good piece though and something he had brought with him from home, though he kept it more as a backup piece than a first line weapon these days.
"Both will, I'm afraid, cut through the armor you are wearing as if didn't exist. You might find it better to learn how to dodge rather than try to find something a bullet could not cut through."

"Though even someone as fast as me is going to have some work to do to avoid a shot from that. Still, I'd rather practice being quick than start walking around in full plate mail. That stuff is hot. Not to mention so heavy that I'd probably break right through the deck and sink to the bottom of the sea."
All right, she wouldn't really, but it was an amusing mental image.
She offered Haytham's pistol back to him. "I'd like to practice, but I'm not sure the captain would take kindly to me putting holes in the side of his ship."
