Heartless Island (Southwest): The officiant here seems scared out of his mind. He has hidden the token near the waterfall, but you will have to fight a hoard of the island's native dark creatures who have become inexplicably aggressive.

♦ HEARTLESS ISLAND

[Distance from Isla Empieza]: 2-5 days (depending on weather conditions).

[Terrain]: Lots of sand when they first touch ground. About fifteen minutes in there are some scattered trees. Another five minutes in the trees (which are suddenly covered in strangely thick moss that eerily looks similar to these creatures) are getting too thick to continue further. If they can manage to maneuver further in, there's an incredibly beautiful waterfall in the dead center of the island (with a huge cave behind it)! There's something compelling about the waterfall, though there isn't a visible way to actually get behind it.

Maybe with a bit of searching, it'll be possible to figure out.

[Weather]: Nice and sunny 99% of the time, but susceptible to extreme downpours—the kind where they can barely see a foot in front of their faces. These can last anywhere from thirty minutes to several days. Once every few months, there's a massive hurricane that blows through that's super deadly to be caught in within ten miles of the island.

[Is the island inhabited?]: Just typical forest wildlife, thousands of strange, black creatures, and ghosts. Lots and lots of ghosts that aren't shy to make their presence known.

There are hints that there once was a very large civilization, though (rundown buildings, houses, etc)!

[If so, what is the culture like here?]: Kind of... lifeless?

[Island peculiarities]: (The creatures are not quite like the ones that anyone from the Kingdom Heart's fandom has seen.) When the crew first arrives, the creatures are not at all fast or aggressive. They will, however, attack if provoked (in other words, if they are approached quickly). Not to mention, they will more than likely come after anyone lingering too long in the area (usually more than thirty seconds in one spot). Don't bother trying to kill them all, since the ones slain can re-spawn.

(To put it simply: the character kills thirty-eight...that very same amount returns after a period of five minutes.)

IF THEY DECIDE TO STICK AROUND TO GET BEHIND THE WATERFALL:

Linger on the island for more than a day: The creatures become slightly stronger.
More than 3 days: The creatures suddenly increase in number by 50%.
Up to a week: What appears to be shadowy forms of the crew members will take the place of the creatures...and the crew will literally be chased off the island by the creatures, as well as the now angry spirits of the previous inhabitants.

If the whatever is behind the waterfall is worth it, though, go for it.

Catchall For Selphie! All Dates!~

A. 5th July - 6th July
At first, Selphie thought the reason she hadn't seen Aya around was because they were both busy at the festivities, and having fun. But she quickly realised, when she tried to find him, that he'd disappeared. So very late on the 5th/very early on the 6th, Selphie could be found in the galley with a bottle of rum at her side, doing her best to drink as much as she could before she got too depressed or upset. Drinking was what adults did to make things better, wasn't it?


B. 8th July onwards
After a day spent sulking in bed, Selphie brings herself back out on the Moon to take up her cleaning duties. She's not doing them with as much enthusiasm as she usually would. In fact, she can spend rather a long time in the one spot, going over and over again. And there's none of the usual singing or whistling. Just moping and mopping around.

7/5-7/6...laaate at night!

[Riku's apparently on galley duty this month, so as far as he's concerned that means he gets free rein of the kitchens on both ships. Not that he's stealing tons of food or anything, but Zeff keeps a pretty close eye on everything, so sneaking the occasional snack usually makes him feel like he's seconds away from getting caught and then kicked upside the head.

He's still a little relieved too see Selphie in here this late at night, though, rather than the pirate chef. And he doesn't notice right away that she's drinking, instead offering her a smile as he steps into the galley.]

Hey. Great minds think alike in the middle of the night, huh?

Sneaky food thief!

*Selphie looks up from her glass, not really having expected anyone else to have come along, especially not at this time. She blinks puffy eyes in Riku's direction and tilts her head*

You're here to get drunk too?

Shhhhh!

[darknessinside]

[Was grabbing a bag of the trail mix Natsuno has stashed everywhere, but he turns to face her at that comment. And he actually sees her this time, noticing the glass as well.]

...Not so much, no. I didn't realize you were— Selphie, what's wrong??

[Moves quickly toward the table, sliding onto a chair next to her.]

*No, getting drunk on her own wasn't exactly her usual habit. But trail mix wouldn't cut it this time. She blinks as he moves to sit beside her, still looking down at the table*

Aya... He's really gone.

[darknessinside]

[There's a beat as Riku blinks, and then he lets out a breath and looks away.]

...Oh.

[Frowns a little and drags a hand over his face, pushing it back into his hair.]

Well. Unfortunately, I know how you feel, and...that sucks. I'm sorry.

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie gives Riku a small, shaky smile, not that she's glad that he knows how she feels, but just feeling pleased that there's someone around who understands*

It's not your fault... But yeah, it really, really, really does suck.

[darknessinside]

[Just nods, but he's eyeing that bottle warily. He wonders how much she's had.]

He might come back. Others have.

[Sometimes he reminds himself of this, but it usually doesn't help. It probably won't make Selphie feel any better either, so Riku sighs a bit.]

Alright, come on. You can't drink alone, you have to share.

[Gestures for the bottle.]

Yeah... I guess he might.

*But she looks at him carefully when he says that, because she knows that they both know that that hasn't happened for some people...yet. Selphie picks up the bottle, which she's really only just started*

It tastes better with the apple juice in it.

*Not that she was drinking it that way herself, it was just a tip*

[Yeah...Riku knows all too well.

He raises an eyebrow.]

Apple juice? Doesn't look like you're using any, I think I'll be alright.

[His months in this world have vastly improved his alcohol tolerance, at the very least. ...Though he's not sure that's a good thing.]

No...Not just now I'm not.

*Because she'd pretty much just reached for the bottle, and it wasn't like she was drinking to be social or anything. She lifts her glass and holds it out towards Riku*

To us! And... rum!

[Riku didn't think to grab a glass, so he'll just lift the bottle to clink it against Selphie's drink.]

And missing—friends.

[And then take a swig straight from it.]

*Selphie gives a solemn nod then finishes off what she had in her glass. Looks like she's going to need a refill*

He could come back, couldn't he? ...both of them?

[Wipes the back of his hand across his mouth after downing a few gulps of rum, then tops off Selphie's glass for her.]

Anything's possible, right? ...It'd be nice, though. I miss him. How long has Aya been gone?

[He should probably know the answer to this, seeing as how it's one of his crewmates. But then he was only sort of aware that he and Selphie were seeing each other to begin with. Clearly he's been wrapped up in his own emotions and feeling sorry for himself for too long.]

*Selphie smiled at him when he refilled her glass, and she nodded her thanks. She sighed a little though at his question about Aya*

Since the start of the month...

*Her voice choked up slightly, so she swiftly took another drink*

[comes up behind her in the midst of cleaning duties and sweeps her up in a bear hug]

Come on, Sweet Selphie, you turn the whole world upside down when you're sad.

*!! At the surprise attack she drops her mop on the deck and does her best at some kind of hug back*

It all seems the right way round to me...

Well to me it's a dreary mess. [sways back and forth] What's wrong, babyface?

[slips a hand under her legs and carries her bridal style, holding her close against him]

I'm sorry, darling. [kisses the top of her head] Anything I can do to help?

*Selphie smiles at least when he scoops her up, and puts her arms loosely around his neck. When he kisses her she gives a small laugh*

Well, now that you've picked me up liked this and kissed me, I guess we should probably get married now.
