[Direction from Isla Empieza]: Somewhere in the South.
[Terrain]: Clouds and rose quartz gemstones. Wild twisted thorn jungles and cities built out of crystal pillars.
[Weather]: Crystal clear. It’s always warm and bright, thanks to the sunlight reflecting off the stones. It’s best to wear a pair of tinted sunglasses the entire time you are here. Light storms hover over the jungles once in a while but otherwise the island floats high enough that it’s almost always perfect weather.
[Is the island inhabited?]: Yes!
[If so, what is the culture like here?]: The people of the island are very short, the tallest standing around four foot tall, rounded faces, feet flat and duck like, body rounded but human. They are all slightly pink tinted in hair, like everything else around this place. The people here have learned to carve out huge villages in the centers of rose courts crystal pillars. They hunt for food, mostly birds, in the twisting thorn forest.
[Island peculiarities]: The jungles are light brown, pink to green and roll round and round in thick loops, twisting around each other. When tapped the sap inside the twisted tree like roots and thorny vines are sweet and almost intoxicating if you’re not raised on the stuff. Traders will sometimes come and collect sap for sale on the seas.
The island is made up purely of crystal stone, rose colored, jutting out here and there. There is a large deep patch of earth in the far northern side of the island that grows a forest, but nothing else will actually grow there. No crops are made here. This jungle however is FULL of birds. The larger crystal pillars can be hollowed out to build homes in.
The clouds under the city keep it hidden from the seas below, but the vines in the north have gotten so large and so wild that through the clouds thick spiny arms seem to grow and twist under the island as well.
The only food here is some form of bird or another, or strips of baked vines from the forest.
Full jars of sap tapped from the trees of this place fetch a nice price on the "below seas".

[The bird kicked at him a few times as he got close, but couldn't spare the extra effort without losing altitude. He managed to fight his way up and climb on, locking his legs around the base of its neck. His thighs squeezed, cutting off the airway and causing it to drop a bit.]
I don't want it to fall all at once. I just want to tire it out and choke it until it has to land.

[he watched as Akira started to constrict the bird's neck, nodding at his explanation.] that's a good idea actually...
[but unfortunately the bird's legs were long enough to allow its clawed feet to reach Akira's position on its neck. As it started giving wheezing calls, it swept its head back and forth and started trying to grab or scratch Akira with its feet. Well Thash didn't want him to get all scratched up or pulled off and dropped, so he crawled up to just under where Akira was. The next time the bird's leg came up to grab at Akira, Thash grabbed it behind the claws]
[he was hoping he'd be strong enough to just stay on the bird's back and keep it's feet immobile, but it turned out the bird had stronger legs than he thought and he got pulled off its back with a yelp. He clung to the one leg he'd grabbed with both arms, his own legs dangling below him. Trying not to look down, he focused on hanging on and swatting the other foot with his tail whenever it went for Akira- at least the werewolf was relatively free to keep choking it now]

Ah! Fuck! Shit! Damn it! Stupid bird!
[He finally has enough of doing it slow, deciding they're low enough to take it. His logs locked, cutting off the bird's air until it finally skids down. He lets go, letting the bird get its breath back. He quickly utilizes the rope to tie it up.]
There, the bird's down. If it swallowed a hard object, it likely ended up in the gizzard. Hold his or her mouth open.

You're going to stick your arm down it's throat? [he might know fish anatomy very well but had no idea what a gizzard on a bird was. Well, Akira seemed pretty sure of what he was saying]
I was just gonna kill it for a BBQ and dig through its stomach, but okay.
[as nasty as sticking an arm down a giant bird's throat was, it was a lot cleaner than cutting it open... And it was probably better if it didn't have to die if it was the wrong bird. Thash walked over to the birds head and sat on the back of its neck. He grabbed the top half of its beak with his hands, prying it open and bracing his feet against the bottom half of the beak to hold it that way. It fought against him of course, but he held it relatively still]

How's it working for you so far? Liking it more than your last crew?
[he bent over the bird's neck, feeling the back of it to get a good feel for how big its spine was. If it was small enough in diameter for him to bite most of the way through it, he'd be able to kill the bird quickly without too much pain that way]
