[Direction from Isla Empieza]: Somewhere in the South.

[Terrain]: Clouds and rose quartz gemstones. Wild twisted thorn jungles and cities built out of crystal pillars.

[Weather]: Crystal clear. It’s always warm and bright, thanks to the sunlight reflecting off the stones. It’s best to wear a pair of tinted sunglasses the entire time you are here. Light storms hover over the jungles once in a while but otherwise the island floats high enough that it’s almost always perfect weather.

[Is the island inhabited?]: Yes!

[If so, what is the culture like here?]: The people of the island are very short, the tallest standing around four foot tall, rounded faces, feet flat and duck like, body rounded but human. They are all slightly pink tinted in hair, like everything else around this place. The people here have learned to carve out huge villages in the centers of rose courts crystal pillars. They hunt for food, mostly birds, in the twisting thorn forest.

[Island peculiarities]: The jungles are light brown, pink to green and roll round and round in thick loops, twisting around each other. When tapped the sap inside the twisted tree like roots and thorny vines are sweet and almost intoxicating if you’re not raised on the stuff. Traders will sometimes come and collect sap for sale on the seas.

The island is made up purely of crystal stone, rose colored, jutting out here and there. There is a large deep patch of earth in the far northern side of the island that grows a forest, but nothing else will actually grow there. No crops are made here. This jungle however is FULL of birds. The larger crystal pillars can be hollowed out to build homes in.

The clouds under the city keep it hidden from the seas below, but the vines in the north have gotten so large and so wild that through the clouds thick spiny arms seem to grow and twist under the island as well.

The only food here is some form of bird or another, or strips of baked vines from the forest.

Full jars of sap tapped from the trees of this place fetch a nice price on the "below seas".

Mhm. That's the general idea of it.

*Faye soon finished off the meat that he'd put on her plate, and she sat back and slowly sipped at the water. And water was fine, but it got rather boring after a while*

We should go get some and try it. If he we don't like, then we can sell it.

Yeah, I guess....[he finished his and drank some more water as well] don't you think we should look around a bit more for the token first though? Can't slack off if we wanna win this race.

[he scratched the back of his neck, frowning a bit] there's only so long in willing to wander around trying to catch giant birds though. If we're still not successful after a while we can meet back up and get some sap

*Faye didn't look too pleased at the thought of looking around and catching birds for the token, but she gave a relenting nod*

Yeah. I guess so. I think my heart would be in it more if I didn't think Grell might cut part of my loot.

*That, and she just really wasn't feeling the whole thing about running around after birds*

I think it can still be a lot of fun even if there is t a huge reward at the end... [he knew such things were more important to her than to himself though]

Yeah, fun for you maybe, Mr Run Around Fighting Things. It doesn't sound like my idea of the best fun ever.

*She glanced doen at his question and shrugged*

Not sure. Guess we'll see when it happens.

Hahah..[he had to laugh a it at that descriptive nickname. It fit pretty well, actually]

Well hey, don't get too discouraged. If she cut a lot of it, maybe I'll share some of mine with you.

[there were only a few thjngs he needed money for right now, and if they did get any appreciable reward it would probably be far more than he needed. Besides, he was expecting a little income from weapons sales soon, too]

You don't have to share any of that with me. You know I'll only apend it on pretty clothes and drinks and dinner. I'm not exactly saving it for anything of any use to anyone...

*She smiled and glanced at the bottles of alcohol, knowing fine well she was a live in the moment and spend in the moment type of woman*

[He shrugged] Well maybe you won't spend it on anything useful, but at least you'll spend it on something. If I get extra money it might just sit around.

...then again, maybe I'll find something to use it for.

Sure. If I get money you can count on me for spending it pretty quickly. I'm not in debt here after all. I don't have thugs chasing me for money.

*Faye smiled and tilted her head, wondering for a moment what Thash might spend his money on*

Oh yeah? You gonna go on a shopping spree?

Thats good. It's no fun to have thugs chasing you... [He knew from experience]

I woudln't exactly call it a shopping spree, hah. Well first things first, I need to get some better tools for making weapons and stuff. If I can do that I won't even have to depend on piracy for an income. Stuff like that would be useful for other things too, like ship repair maybe. We have what we need right now but not neccessarily high quality stuff.

Other than that, I'll get materials to imporve the diving bubble, and I might buy some weapons samples so I have something to work off of for types of weapons I'm not familiar with making. Or maybe just some to try out and broaden my skills.

[Yep, he sounded pretty obsessed with weapons and fighting. He wasn't quite done though]

Other than that stuff... there's a few more things I had in mind. But I dunno if I want to tell you about them... [He smirked a bit] call it a potential surprise?

Fixing up the diving bubble would be a great idea. You'll take me diving at the next island, won't you? If it has water.

*Faye rolled her eyes as she listened to him talk about weapons and fighting, though she wasn't being unkind. She rested her head in her hand as he continued, but she immediately brightened at the mention of a surprise*

Oh, really? I love surprises. Nice to think that you might spend your money on something other than fighting...

yeah, that's the plan. I think you'd probably enjoy diving at a variety of islands...they all seem to have slightly different sea life and reef layouts.

[He smiled as she brightened up about the surprise]

'course I will. Fighting's important and all but it's not the only thing important to me...

That'll be nice. I'd like to see some more different fish and stuff.

*Faye sat up and smiled, but when he said that she lowered her eyes and blushed slightly. There was no knowing what he really meant but still, she couldn't help it, but she felt stupid, and just poured herself some more water*

[he felt quite happy about her wanting to go on more dives. He'd tremendously enjoyed taking her on that first one and was glad she felt safe enough and liked it enough to go again]

[he smirked furtively at her blush. Sure, there were a variety of thjngs he could have been taking about that were important to him.... But he'd been talking about her, of course]

By the way I've been wondering something...do you have a favorite color? It seems like most people wear a certain set of colors more often, but you wear such a variety of stuff it's hard for me to guess.

*Faye looked back up at him again when he asked the question, at least having managed to get her blush under control. She was a little embarrassed that she reacted in such a way*

A favourite colour? I don't know. I like red, I suppose. Black doesn't count. I like green too.

*Amused, Faye leaned a little closer to him*

What do I like best? Hm...well of what I've seen on you so far, I'd say red and black for sure. Everything you've worn looked good, though.

*Faye laughed at his comment, apparently quite amused by it. She reached over and poked him lightly on the shoulder*

*She smirked, though, pleased eith the compliment all the same*

I'll be sure to keep it in mind. It's nice to think what I wear actually goes noticed by someone.

[he laughed, blushing slightly as she poked him] well yeah, everything I've seen. Clothes wise, anyway. That green mask looked funny.

[he said that in a way that suggested it was purely humorous though, not repulsive or anything]

Hey, as you're friend it's kinda my job to appreciate when you look nice, right?

*Faye gave a slow smile in reponse to his blush, then shrugged when he mentioned the mask*

No. It's not exactly my hottest look.

*Teasing back at him, Faye actually even poked out her tongue at him*

Maybe. Do you make sure that you compliment all your pretty friends as much as you can?

Hm, well...as far as pretty friends go, it's pretty much you and Kat, that's it. I mean there's Emily but it's not like I'm going to be seeing her much if ever again. I made sure to tell Kat she looked nice when she dressed up, but I haven't really complimented her much in her regular clothes...

[though he did like the armored warrior look. He might talk to Faye more on the subject, but he wasn't all that interested in laying special compliments to Kat on her appearance... Not when his focus was elsewhere]

I don't really have any other female friends so I guess that means most of my compliments are going to do. [he asked the next part with a teasing tone] you don't have a problem with that, right?

*Faye wasn't incredibly interested in hearing him talk about how pretty his friends are anyway*

Just two other pretty friends? I suppose that's what happens when you spend all your time with weapons.

*She smirked a little at her statement, and sipped more of her water*

Hmm...I suppose I don't have a problem with it. So long as you don't run out of things to say.

hahahaha...I guess you have a point there. Though i'm glad I do have a few other things to spend my time on. Without going for dives and hanging out with you, weapons might get boring...

[He finished his water, stretched alittle then leaning on the table]

Still though, maybe I should start spending my time with all kinds of pretty girls...

[He didn't really mean that, just wondering if it would get some kind of reaction out of Faye]

*Faye blinked at Thash as he stretched, then gave a small cough and shrugged her shoulder. It was a good effort at appearing as though she really didn't care. Faye glanced away though when she spoke*

You can spend all the time with all the pretty girls you want..

*Though she gave him a look out of the corner of her eye to in turn see how he'd react to that*

[even though he noticed the little cough, it was clear she was going to play it cool. Perhaps nothing he said that sounded distancing would get her to react...so he thought maybe he'd try taking it the other way. He leaned a little closer to her with a sly smirk]

If you were going to spend most of your time with one special girl, I'd like to believe that they'd be a little more than just 'pretty'...
