[Direction from Isla Empieza]: Somewhere in the South.

[Terrain]: Clouds and rose quartz gemstones. Wild twisted thorn jungles and cities built out of crystal pillars.

[Weather]: Crystal clear. It’s always warm and bright, thanks to the sunlight reflecting off the stones. It’s best to wear a pair of tinted sunglasses the entire time you are here. Light storms hover over the jungles once in a while but otherwise the island floats high enough that it’s almost always perfect weather.

[Is the island inhabited?]: Yes!

[If so, what is the culture like here?]: The people of the island are very short, the tallest standing around four foot tall, rounded faces, feet flat and duck like, body rounded but human. They are all slightly pink tinted in hair, like everything else around this place. The people here have learned to carve out huge villages in the centers of rose courts crystal pillars. They hunt for food, mostly birds, in the twisting thorn forest.

[Island peculiarities]: The jungles are light brown, pink to green and roll round and round in thick loops, twisting around each other. When tapped the sap inside the twisted tree like roots and thorny vines are sweet and almost intoxicating if you’re not raised on the stuff. Traders will sometimes come and collect sap for sale on the seas.

The island is made up purely of crystal stone, rose colored, jutting out here and there. There is a large deep patch of earth in the far northern side of the island that grows a forest, but nothing else will actually grow there. No crops are made here. This jungle however is FULL of birds. The larger crystal pillars can be hollowed out to build homes in.

The clouds under the city keep it hidden from the seas below, but the vines in the north have gotten so large and so wild that through the clouds thick spiny arms seem to grow and twist under the island as well.

The only food here is some form of bird or another, or strips of baked vines from the forest.

Full jars of sap tapped from the trees of this place fetch a nice price on the "below seas".

*Faye appeared behind him, watching him taking some more. So she figured, what the hell, and had some more herself*

I guess it's pretty good. It certainly makes you want to have a lot more of it.

*Faye laughed at that and nodded, again helping herself*

Then dig in! I bet you're good fun when you're...'impaired'.

I wouldn't know. I'm not even sure it's possible.

Well, you're just a young thing. You shouldn't be worrying yourself with things like alcohol and drugs. Least not for a couple of years.

I didn't say you were a kid, I said you were young.

*She smiles at him and taps her hand lightly against his cheek*

Younger than this old lady, anyway.

Old? Please. What are you, twenty-two?

Nearly twenty-four.

*She said it rather gravely*

I still look good for an old lady though, don't I?

You're a real comedian, Faye.

[myfayevalentine]

*She laughs at his comment*

Aww, thank you. I try to use as many charms as I can.

*His cheeks start to actually pinken a little as he sips more of the sap.*

I could be funny, if I wanted to.

*Faye takes a step back and smiles, putting a hand on her hip expectantly*

That's just it, I'm not good at straight jokes. All my best lines were against other people. I'm good at banter and insultin' people.

*Faye smirks at that, unable to think of it as anything other than an invitation*

You wanna try insulting me first? Or will we just have some banter?

I can't just up and insult someone I like, it's not the same. My heart won't be in it.

*Faye laughed rather loudly at that one, and patted him on the shoulder*

Okay, you are funny, Akira. I forgot that you could be funny sometimes.

*Even if he didn't actually mean it...*

That's what makes you so funny - I'm laughing and you haven't even told a joke. Though, if you come up with one, I would quite like to hear it.

*He leans down to lap at a bit more sap, before sitting by the tree.*

Might as well have a seat by me. On the upside, it's flowing faster than I thought it would.

*Faye too had a little more, scooping the sap up with her finger tips and putting them in her mouth as she flopped down next to him, her head immediately on his shoulder*

It's great. It's...really great. No wonder people on the sea pay so much for this.

*He leaned his head against the bark, not minding her proximity too much.*

I find it more relaxing than energizin', myself. Maybe it's just how my system processes it.

Really? Hmm...that's too bad. Here was me thinking you were going to scoop me up and start dancing with me...

*She's getting less good at hiding her giggles with the more sap that she samples*

Unfortunately, I have two left feet, so there's a problem. Also, I just sat down and don't wanna' get up again.
