The trouble with women... and drinking!
Who: Ban, Haytham, Harlock? Crew Men folk of the Triton's Mistress!
Where: Harlock's Quarters
When: After the last Elisa post!
What: Elissa surprised quite a few of her crew when she ended up marrying the Corpse King on Eternal Bliss.. so Ban is trying to round up the guys so someone can drink away his sorrows and blow off some steam. The female members of the crew are welcome to crash if they like but Ban is going to try to maintain the guys only thingsince a discussion on women might be a thing.
Warnings: Pg-13 for alcohol and things
Part A:
Given the way Haytham had reacted to the news of Elissa's impromptu wedding, coupled with the fact that Harlock had made mention of bourbon it was clear to Ban what needed to be done. These two things needed to be brought together. Although he wouldn't express it clearly or openly, Ban actually felt kinda bad for his fellow crewman. It's not everyday that the girl you're involved with elopes with someone else. Having been left on the ship during that mission, Ban was sure that he was missing some key details about what transpired there but he wasn't likely to hear all of them until the race was over and Elissa was collected.
So in the meantime... they needed some good old fashioned time spent with the boys. Heading to Haytham's cabin first, he didn't bother knocking before letting himself into the room. It looked like the other man was already packing up some of his things..
"Oi," Ban interrupted."That stuff can wait. Harlock's made us an offer we're not going to refuse.." See Haytham. You don't get a choice.
Part B:
With the first matter of business tended to, Ban headed to Harlock's cabin. With one rap on the door he spoke up when he said the following,"Yo- hope you're ready for company." That was all the warning that was given before the door was flung open. This is what happens when you offer free alcohol. Ban was carrying enough glasses in his hand for the three of them, and even a couple extra just in case..
[Part A is more for just Haytham but Part B is anyone's game!]

Part A
"There is no reason to...--"
Yanked backward and away from his work with a sudden and surprising show of force there was little he could do but be dragged away from the desk and ever close to the socializing he did not desire...
But that would be good for him.no subject
“No one … really knows what happened after the search party split... feh- maybe she hit her head, or was drugged,,, or something...” Or maybe she just happened to make reallllllly bad choices on a regular basis. That could be too... “but.. tonight.... tonight's gonna be all about forgetting your troubles and letting off steam..”
Part B - OPEN
He was silent when he reached for one of the glasses Ban had but thought to say something once the cup was placed on the table in front of him.
"Sorry to invade, but it was a gracious offer one that Ban apparently couldn't see go to waste."
Re: Part B - OPEN
He couldn't not offer the man moral support. He's familiar with someone in a relationship screwing up royally. To date his friend had yet to end up accidentally married to someone else.
"I think everyone's had quite a shock today." He still had a two more bottles he was saving for the occasion of people from home showing up. The bottle he had out on the table was for dealing with bad days. "Tonight's not a night for drinking alone."

A betrayal was another and that was more what he was calling it in his head. Yes the island was a strange place full of bizarre customs but one would think you could avoid an unwanted marriage even if the locals insisted upon one.
"I hadn't thought to do any drinking over it however."
But see how quickly that attitude dissolves once the glass in front of him is filled. The potent liquid certainly helped to take the edge off and made forgetting the heartbreak a little easier.

"You just didn't think far enough ahead.. go on. Drink up. It'll do you some good."
"Women." He huffed, as he nursed his own drink savoring the flavor."Just go trying to figure them out...."

"You sound like a man with some experience on the subject?"
Haytham was quite certain everyone at the table had a run in with a woman at one time in their lives or another but he was also quite as certain Ban's would prove to be a colorful distraction away from his own troubles. Regale him with the details.

Harlock cuts Ban off before he can even say anything.
"I can't believe she went through with it. She comes up with the oddest plans sometime."

“Hm?” He looked toward Harlock, a little curious how much time they would spend fixating on Elissa....
“Feh- you can bet I wouldn't have..... “ And he'd come up with plenty of hairbrained schemes himself. Of course, not everyone had the Jagan at their disposal either.

Some times he wondered how that lady had survived as long as she had. Her world was much harsher than this one, had she made these same sorts of mistakes there? She had skill, he had seen some of that, but... at times like these he began to wonder about her.
"At any rate there is noting to be done about it now."
Just drink as Ban suggested? Why not.
