[If so, what is the culture like here?]: The legend goes that King Ukir of Darkcloud Kingdom is a very, very old man who decided he didn’t want to live on the ocean one day. He lived in a very large city wide tower that housed many of his loyal subjects and at the top of it was one very large ‘sun stone’ a yellow gem that helped the kingdom thrive. Making a deal with a mysterious man, King Ukir was granted a long life and a levitating island. The clouds around the earth hide it from the sea below and help hold it in the sky. The clouds are fluffy but dense, able to walk on them the darker they are. The father out you walk, the more of a chance you have to fall off.

[Island peculiarities]: There are several huge tunnels in the island, where propellers can be lowered and pushed out, spinning to propel the island in case of need to move it, though they are rarely used. Emergency reasons only.

The clouds are huge and from below they look like an enormous storm cloud. The piece of land is supported by the clouds, floating in them. You can park a boat in the darker clouds, but lighter ones are more apt to sink a ship, very slowly. Walking the clouds feels springy and light, but the whiter the cloud the less safe it is.

It’s rare that anyone comes here, so when a ship does make it up here it’s almost a bit celebration. The people of the city tend to like good people who come with fun things to trade. It’s too hard for them to get anything from below so come with some fine goods! the people of the Darkcloud Kingdom are very fine seamstresses and tailors. Light flowing silkish clothing and wide footed cloud shoes that work very well in most clouds and even help some fast people run on water.

There is a large purple glowing tree hanging off one cliff. This tree is huge, branches stretching out and trunk wide. Its roots wrap around the cliff and through it. the fruit from this tree is what the locals call Cloud Fruits and eating a ripe fruit will leave the person happy and light feelings (which also makes it easier to walk on the clouds in further regions). An unripened cloud fruit is very hard and will weigh a person down, not only in weight but in bad thoughts.

A - August 1st - 7th

Bonnie was a lot happier to be up in the clouds than she was to be on the seas. It felt like a dream, and this time she didn't have to worry about some stupid bird or anyone bringing her down. Plus, it was a clear step up from Yuezhong, since the island's people seemed to actually be welcoming for once.

What she was definitely interested in was the fruit! It might've been good to keep some for later, maybe to try to store and keep for the oceanic islands, but she couldn't help but try some! Which is why she can be found happily skipping along, humming a tune and greeting the inhabitants of the island, or even you!

B - Later on in their stay

And naturally, she couldn't help but try the unripened fruit. With a harder time than she did eating the other one, she seemed to just wind up having a string of bad days, most of which was spent trying to even keep herself on the damn island. She's in a considerably less happy mood than before, the skipping turned into rough steps.

She happens towards the city, giving dirty looks at the people. One of them was eyeing her basket, weren't they? She was positive one of them had their disgusting eyes on her basket. Even if it was for a few seconds, it felt like ages. How dare they.

And so, you might catch a glimpse of her red cape pushing and pulling someone into an alleyway. Be careful if you follow.

Wearing her new coat made by Arthur, Grell strode over to Bonnie from behind. Even with her skipping, Grell found it easy enough to keep up.

"My, my~! You're chipper!"

At the sound of her voice, Bonnie spins on her heel and beams. It was nice to hear that voice again!

"Captain! You're alive!" Yes, yes, she said that already. "It's so good to see that you hadn't fallen through~!"

"Of course I am! You weren't conversing with a ghost before!" Grell smiled at her. "You did make sure to anchor the ship on the darker clouds, correct?"

"Of course not! Ghosts are tricky however, you can never be too sure!" It's hard to tell if she's being serious about that or not, but with a twirl, she nods.

"Of course! We're not going to cause aaaaaaaaaanymore damage to the ship. It's all okay!"

Grell rolled her eyes playfully at being considered a ghost, but she was still smiling.

"Were you the cause of the damage? Because I've heard otherwise."

"Little ol' me?" She blinks with heavy eyes. "No, of course not! We were bombarded by a different crew, but nobody died!"

It was a shame about Grell's quarters, though. She smiles, hands linked behind her back.

"At least you're cheerful about the aftermath!" No one dying is a good thing. She's found out that souls can't be reaped here, and it was frustrating. Not like she could do much with the souls, anyway.

At least she could see the reels.
