{Expecting that sort of two pronged attack from Roxas, instead of parrying either blade, Owain leapt backwards once the first began coming down, before darting to the side of the second blade and again bringing his sword in from that side, aimed for Roxas' gut.}

[He's surprised a little, but he scoots a step back and manages the block at the last minute, pushing Owain's blade away with Oblivion, following it with an attempt at a blow from above with Oathkeeper.]

You're pretty good!

[He's not the least bit upset about this.]

{Using the momentum of his blade crashing against Oblivion, Owain spun out of the way of Oathkeeper before rotating back that direction, attempting to slice at the arm wielding said blade.}

You're not so bad yourself!

[Roxas can't move out of the way in time and the blow hits, jarring his shoulder for the last time he can take. He drops the keyblade with another yelp and takes a few deep breaths.] Ugh...

[All of this moving around isn't good for him and when he touches his shoulder and feels dampness, he gives his head a shake.]

Gonna have to give up. Sorry.

That's all right, Roxas, not everyone can keep up with me.

{Granted, he didn't realize Roxas came into the sparring session injured. Sheathing his blade, he leaned forward to look at the shoulder, grimacing slightly.}

Should we get that wrapped or something, though? Honestly, I expected you to avoid it...

[He nods a little bit.]

I think I need a new bandage. It's okay, probably.

[He's going to have a nice new bruise on his arm though, but that doesn't bother him.]

I guess it's good thing it's just my shoulder.

Wait, a *new* bandage? Were you sparring injured?

{That explained a lot, but he felt pretty badly now-he probably wouldn't have fought with him had he known.}

Yeah, but it's okay! I can fight!

[Roxas can be very stubborn.]

I just got shot a little when I was escaping.

Well, maybe next time, we'll wait until you've healed up? I'm sure you'd be a great challenge at peak condition!

{Which was an exciting prospect-there hadn't been much in the way of competition left in Ylisse that he hadn't been training with for what felt like ages by the time they defeated Grima.}

[He gives Owain a bright smile.]

[His eyes widen a little.]

Um, I don't think that's a good idea. If I tell Lea, I think he might get mad at me.

[So now he thinks of the consequences of his actions.]

Maybe you could just wrap it for me?

Do you have any bandages? Or know where to get them?

{Being a soldier more or less all his life, he did know how to clean and wrap a wound, but he wasn't sure where to find the materials.}

Yeah, I know where. I'll be right back.

[Roxas disappears for a few moments and comes back up on deck with a first aid kit in hand.]

I remembered where it was!

Good thing, or else you'd have gotten in trouble regardless. Now, let's see...

{Judging the sleeve to be short enough, Owain rolled up Roxas' to get a better look, cringing once again but beginning to unroll the current bandage.}

[It's not quite workable from the arm alone so Roxas pulls his shirt over his head when he realizes. His wound isn't too terrible and it's only bleeding a little bit from overworking himself. He's a little banged up but the bruises are fading and another smaller bandage on his lower back is fine.]

Maybe Lea has the right idea and we should try and learn a cure spell. If I had that I wouldn't be bleeding again.

Learn a cure spell? Are you capable with magic as well as in combat, then?

{This immediately reminded him of Robin, of course, one of the few Owain knew capable with both swords and sorcery.}

That makes your skills all the more impressive. Your wound seems to be healing well, by the way.

{Once the first bandage was removed, he began to use a damp cloth to clean the fresh blood.}

[Roxas nods a little, keeping still like he should.]

Well yeah, sorta, but I'm not very good at it. I'm just okay. I can do fire, thunder and blizzard. I also have light magic, but I just have these two big moves I do with them. I was talking to Lea about maybe doing what I can with fire with light...I mean, you should see what he can do with fire. All the Nobodies have something, and he had fire. He's really really good.

Nobodies?

{Not a term he'd heard before, of course. Magic more or less made since, though the fact that he seemed to have different levels of varying magics was a bit odd.}

Yeah. I'm a Nobody. I look like a person but I'm really a Heartless. I don't have a heart. It's kind of complicated really...

[Roxas is willing to explain but most people get lost pretty easily.]

You don't..have a heart? Did somebody curse you?

{The wound clean again, Owain began to wrap it with a new bandage.}

[Roxas shakes his head.]

When someone loses their heart, a Heartless appears. Usually they are little monsters that work to steal other people's hearts. Some people turn into Dusks. For a very few of us, we became Nobodies. My Somebody, Sora, lost his heart sometime ago.

[He scratches his head.]

Only...I didn't get his memories or anything really. I don't even look that much like him which is really weird. Lea was a Nobody named Axel. He looked exactly the same as he does now only with longer hair because now he keeps cutting it. He remembered everything about his past life where I...don't.
