Tartle time
Well, now that Roxas has been located and picked up, it's much easier to relax on the Tartle! Gan Ning is occupied on the ship, coordinating the rescue flight and waiting to see Roxas alive and well and back on the ship, on the 11th itself. Once that's over, though...
It's a good time to catch him, to discuss plans with him and see how his injuries are healing. He's prone to lounging around or strolling the length and breadth of the island, exploring.]

Hey. You said you wanted to talk to me...right?
no subject
Oh, hey, kiddo. Nah, not talk...just wanted to see how ya are, see if you wanna have some fun.
[he gives Roxas a quick once-over. Hm, yep, cleaned up all right] Looks like you're feelin' better. Sleep good, get some good food in ya and all?
no subject
[Maybe, maybe not. Roxas hasn't decided. He's ignoring some rather confusing emotions that make no sense whatsoever.]
Sleep was weird and I haven't eaten yet.

Thank arceus.
Currently, she was standing a good distance away, looking at one of the book stalls. They were also selling flowers and that gave her one wicked idea. Picking up and paying for a single white lotus flower, she hands it over to one of her new baby poots and points to her captain.
Go give it to that guy.
She prayed that the poot understood her command as she watched it float over to his direction, holding the lotus in its mouth. The moment she saw the little whale lightly headbutt Ning's side. She turns to face the stall, hiding her VERY amused smile. ]
no subject
Oi, get off. What do you want? I don't got any food.
[the whale wiggles at him, showing off the flower. Gan Ning, though, is thick as a brick and just stares at it.]
What? Whaddaya want?
no subject
Cynthia had to cover her face with a book so he wouldn't see her laughing in one corner. But the people at the stall were definitely staring. Crazy woman. ]

8/13 ALL THE POOTS
In the afternoon, one would find the blonde looking around the stalls for things that would interest her. Shopping for books, supplies, bullets for her pistols, clothes. Maybe even weird ingredients to help out Lea and Gaius' chocolate business. So, by this time, she should be dragging around a huge sack filled with...stuff. Also, she would have two baby poots following her around. Why? Guess.
and in the evening, Cynthia will be having a drink in one of the taverns. This is a "pirate's paradise" after all, so this is where her information gather skills would be put to good use. Also, she's trying to gather information about that half map they won in the ghost race. ]

But outside was a different story. Cynthia had tasked some of her pokemon to patrol the perimeter of the tavern. Garchomp taking to the skies while Lucario and Spiritomb stayed by the entrance. If anyone who even resembled the navy came close to the place, it would be the spirit pokemon's job to alert her. Of course, the pokemon weren't really briefed on what to do in case she was spotted by a crew mate. So Lucario took it upon himself to ask, poking at Roxas' shoulder and turning on the telepathy. ]
Human, Are you lost?

Roxas' Return
He's a little tired looking and worse for wear with a distinct smell of smoke to his clothes and himself, but he's alive and alert. He looks a little sheepish for having to be rescued.]

You know, after others have had their turn.]
Hey. You okay, kiddo?
no subject
Yeah, I'm okay.
[By his definition, anyway.]

Businessman at Work
Back on the ship, most of Lea's time is taking up with pretending that he's not fretting over Roxas' recovery. He's just within sight of him most of the day out of pure coincidence, that's all. Nothing to see there. Move on.]

Pooting Zoo
Did it just fart?
And there went another one.
Okay, this had gotten much less adorable.]

....
[Those things, right? They look right up the Pokemon master's alley.]
...that where they get the name, you think?
no subject
You know, something tells me that's exactly where it came from.
[More fart bubbles.]
Come on! Will you guys stop that already?!

Sailing!
{He would have thought, considering the fact that they *had* sailed before in Chrom's army, that he wouldn't get sea sick.}
{But no, the crashing of the waves had, at least for the first couple of weeks aboard, and the tail-end of the race, made him sick to the stomach, leaving him largely abed. Thankfully, though, now that they were leaving Tartle island, he seemed to have mastered his body once again, and could be found leaning over the edge of the boat as they were sailing away, a grin on his face as he watched the island sail fade into the distance.}
{It was hard to be certain how much he'd enjoy less savory acts, but so far, being a pirate seemed to mostly be about fun, something he could get behind.}
no subject
Hey! I can sit here, right?
no subject
{He offered a bit of an ornery smile as he turned to face Roxas, somebody he'd apparently had yet to meet, before offering his hand to shake.}
I don't think we've met yet. I'm Owain, of Ylisse.

Sailing and the Deesuko
So, when they were politely encouraged to get the hell off the island, Gan Ning reluctantly left without her. No amount of searching or questioning (or threatening) got him any information, and her journal was gone, so he forced himself to believe she'd been sent home, and set course for their original destination. It bothered him more than he let on, so the good mood he had managed for about three days reverted to the dark sulk he had been in prior to their landing.
Once they reach Deesuko Ballia, Gan Ning's only instruction to the crew is to set a rotation for one person guarding the ship at all times, and then he disappears himself. No, not like the others, he merely gets himself deliberately, irretrievably lost in the maze of bars and brothels. He has a lot of diamonds to spend in pursuit of forgetfulness, and losing another person mixes with a sudden upswell of homesickness is reason enough to get so drunk and crazy that no one can stop him.
They can, however, join him...]
