☠Twenty-Sixth Reel: New stripes [Closed]
Who: The Bloody Roses, and the bodyswap victims
Where: The Gilded Rose on the their way south
When: Aug 21st to Aug 26th
What: Shenanigans, surely!
Warnings: Probably foul language
Style: always
Status: closed to the crew!
If body swapping, please say who you are. If you could use different icons, that would be great, but if not, at least a link to the person's image. We may not know who is who in this game!

After we get all the switched people rounded up!
The reason why you're all down here is because it's for the safety of everyone-- [And she looks to the raccoon] and everything-- [then looks to all of them] aboard this ship.
[She begins to pace in front of the gathered crowd.]
There are those who were not here during the first ever curse of this world, so allow me to summarize. [Grell pauses in her stride to elaborate.] A sea witch took over the majority of every non-native, including myself, and forced us all to do her bidding. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I'm sure I killed one of my own crew members.
[She looks to Dave, who was Arthur at the moment. Why is he wearing that eyepatch?]
You remember that, don't you?
[Her attention turns back to the others.]
So while we have most of you sorted out, I'm afraid that those whose bodies are not aboard the ship, or those who are not members of my crew, are to be kept below deck. You will be, of course, fed and taken care of until all this is all over. I really can't take the risk of you lot going rogue on us in our sleep, should this curse turn out for the worst.
I'd rather not have to KILL YOU otherwise. I don't have time for rivalries and vengeance.
Any questions?

"Excuse me, miss...But I'm not a thing."
A potential meal for humans where he's from, yes. But a sentient being at least.

I think she was talkin' to me actually. Doesn't matter though; we'd both fall I to the category of 'thing' to most people....
[He looked back at Grell, his busy tail fidgeting about behind him] well I am a crew member and my body is right here...and the guy in it hasn't hurt anybody since this crap kicked off even though he had plenty of chance to. If you're saying a witch or whatever could take control of us and make us do crap against our will thats concerning for sure, but couldn't it afflict body swapped crew members as easily as ones in their own or each others' bodies? Or even non body swapped people for that matter...
[there were all kinds of flaws in her reasoning. And due to the pace at which this had been handled, of anyone was going to go nuts and kill people it probably would have happened long before this. All the same though, he was starting to understand a little better why she'd reacted the way she had to him coming to the ship in Yasaburo's body at first. He might think the WAY this was being handled was stupid but at least the reasons for worry made sense...and it was no longer just him being mistrusted]
Well, whatever. You're the captain. I ain't happy about it but if there's danger to the crew, caution and vigilance is best. You might wanna have someone on a 24 hour patrolling watch on the ship in case any of those not locked up get controlled. Just a suggestion.

She meant overboard as in she will throw him into the ocean.]

I don't like to say it, but I'm afraid you may have the right idea.
no subject
I usually do.

[She attempts to mantle her wings, but it turns into a shrug instead. Well. That was convenient...]
no subject
Yeah.
[Dave remembers. How could he forget? He was pretty traumatized by that event. He still doesn't like to think about it. He hangs his head for a few seconds and then decides to just forget it.
He doesn't think this is the same thing. People are acting weird, but not violent so far. There's no sea witch.]
What if they're not a threat though? No one's attacked us yet, have they?
[Not like Dave would know. He's been spending most of his time in his room trying to hide his hideous new face.]
no subject
[Sexy new face, you mean? He's not the 'erotic ambassador' for nothing! Arthur was the one who had to deal with almost looking like bloody Prussia.
Arms folded over his chest, he shook his head.]
Not yet. As long as the key is kept close at hand, they can be released if we need to.
no subject
Unless proven otherwise, or until this curse is over, I won't be changing my mind. [Grell crosses her arms.] I dislike being caged as much as anyone, probably more than any of you, so I do not take pleasure in this.
no subject
[Arthur nodded, putting up no argument. As the voice of experience, and Dave agreeing with her, he'd have been an idiot to.]
I meant if we were attacked and needed the extra hands. By your decision.
no subject
[Dave isn't going to put up a fight either. He knows that what Grell's doing makes sense, but he also knows that he wouldn't like being locked in there himself.]
The sea witch isn't a thing though. I'm just saying.
[He isn't too worried about getting attacked. If this is happening then the other pirates probably have to deal with it too. He doesn't think they'll be much of a threat.]
Can we talk for a minute about how awkward this is? He stole my beautiful face!
no subject
Excuse me? At least you don't look like a Prussian knock-off for once.
[Yep, utterly distracted from anything serious because his face was insulted. Kind of.]
no subject
Now, now, boys, you're both pretty.
no subject
What does that even mean?
[Prussia is a country, right? Are Prussian guys extremely good-looking or something?]
No, I'm not. He is. But only because he looks like me. How can I be hot when I have eyebrows that look like caterpillars? It's like they crawled onto my face in the middle of the night and I can't cover them up no matter how big or ridiculous my hat is. I need some metaphorical bug spray to kill these things before they eat leaves, make cocoons, and turn into butterflies.
Grell, what are we going to do? It isn't fair.
no subject
[Did he just- oh yes he did. Arthur growled, all but baring teeth at the other man in his body.]
My eyebrows do not look like bloody caterpillars, you half witted wanker!
[Button? Officially pushed.]
no subject
Wow. I sound weird when I have an English accent and I'm angry.
[Dave has never seen himself make that face before. He wonders if Arthur's body can move as fast as his can. Probably not.]
I would pluck them for you but I don't have any tweezers 'cause I never need to pluck mine.
[Oops, that sounded more like an insult than an apology.]
no subject
And that comment? Earned an angrier glare.]
You pluck one hair and I'm shaving you bald. There is NOTHING wrong with my eyebrows!
no subject
Okay, I won't harm a hair on your head. Literally. These majestic hedges of fur are totally safe with me.
[Even though he really wishes he could hack them off Dave would never risk losing his own hair. Going bald is the second worst thing imaginable, almost as bad as looking like Arthur.]
Just lay off the do.
no subject
But she agrees, she thinks the eyebrows suit Arthur...and only him. They are very much like caterpillars, but she wouldn't ever say so.]
Are you two done, now?
no subject
Yes, I believe we are.
i'm so sorry for dave's narcissism
[Dave shakes his own hand. He's never touched himself from inside someone else's body before. It's weird. Also kind of hot. Is this what it feels like when other people touch him? Damn, he's fine.]
I could never stay mad at that face.
Hehehe
