Who: Raphael and anyone still around Isla Empieza! Plus Hiccup and Gaius.
Where: Isla Empieza, around town.
When: February 27th and on...he'll be around for a few more days, at least.
What: Anything! Introducing crew members to each other, maybe meeting others...?
Warnings: None.
Style: Action.
Status: Open.
[By now Raph has kind of realized that he's probably not the weirdest thing in this world, not to mention that, you know, it isn't HIS world anyway so as far as he's concerned the same rules don't apply here. He doesn't have to stay hidden, it doesn't matter if the humans see him, he can come out during the day...
There's not really a cool sewer system to hide in anyway.
And even if there was, it'd be seriously lacking in arcade machines.
So he's out and about in town, running around, leaping from building to building, swinging off whatever he can and flipping through the air to land somewhere else.
Training, basically. Can't slack, not when there's certain pirate ghosts that still need a good face punching.
He might also be sitting on the stone edge of the fountain, legs crossed as he tries (and probably fails) to meditate. Chances are he's inconspicuously people watchingand getting a kick out of all the double-takes he's getting.]

Rolls a new thread
It's not like he's been totally useless during this time. When he isn't checking the docks for ships that are coming in, he's been poking around everything else on his own. Or, as one would call it, some exploration and observation. Having to get use to the fact that no one else is a Viking is a little shocking to him, but after seeing how some of the natives act toward non-natives, he puts their behavior on par with them.
As he wanders, he thinks about the last conversation he had with Raphael about a man (a potential crewmate?) and a newly "acquired" ship. The turtle did say they were all going to meet up at some point. The only problem is there was no exact time or place for it.
He sighs.]
Well, they both have to be around here somewhere...

Hey, man!
[He'll even throw in a little half-wave.]
no subject
[Yeah, he wasn't expecting that. After recoiling slightly, Hiccup blinks. Speak of the turtle. Play it off, man, all cool-like.]
Oh. Hey! I've been wondering where you went.
no subject
Just getting some exercise. What've you been up to?
no subject
no subject
[Geez. Raph wants to see the dragon again, dang it.]
Ah well. Hey, I can show you our ship, at least!
no subject
[It's been bothering him, but he's still hopeful. You'll see that dragon yet, Raph.]
Oh yeah, almost forgot about that. Where is it?
no subject
[Turns to head for the docks, waving for Hiccup to follow him.]
It's in the harbor. Come on!
[Because hiding in plain sight is always an awesome idea, right? Right??]
no subject
H-hey, wait up!
[The viking runs at a gait after Raph. But then begs the question:]
–Wait, why are we heading this way??
no subject
You wanted to see the ship, right?
[Wide grin.]
Couldn't just leave it in any old place. Pirates might commandeer it, you know. They got people keeping an eye on the harbor, at least.
no subject
[Brow crease.]
Y'know, this is a lot of work for an "acquired" ship, but hey!
no subject
[Leads Hiccup onto the dock where their ship is, coming to a halt in front of it and spreading his arms wide.]
Ta-da! It's nice, huh?
no subject
[One minor shrug and jog later, there's the ship.
Hiccup looks thoroughly impressed.]
Wow. I'd say!
no subject
We have to name her still.
[Usually that's Mikey's job, but...]
Maybe Gaius is around. You still need to meet him, too.
[Looks up at the ship, then quite abruptly launches himself off the dock and scales the side until he can grab the railing and flip himself onto the ship's deck.
Don't worry, he'll lower the gangplank and all that so Hiccup can get on board, too.]
no subject
Oh, yeah, that guy. Now would be as good a time as any.
[And whup, the turtle disappears again. Oh, he's up top already. Hey.
He smirks, half-hobbling over the uneven dock to the gangplank.]
–Thank you.
no subject
So how long have you had that thing on your leg?
[Tact, what is that.]
no subject
Just be glad Hiccup doesn't mind it! He just pauses for a bit, lifting that peg slightly.]
This? Oh. Um, not too long.
no subject
He just nods, though. It's obvious, the way he moves with it. Like he can't quite put all of his weight on it just yet. Maybe not because the prosthesis itself is new, but because...]
You're still healing then, huh? You said it was an -- "occupational hazard". [Complete with air quotes.] So some kind of accident?
no subject
Sort of. It's not too bad, though. I'll probably get use to it.
[How can you say this so casually, Hiccup]
Buuut you can say that. Taking on a dragon the size of a small mountain isn't the smartest thing to do.
no subject
[That voice comes from up above, and even once you look up, Gaius is already making his way down expertly from where he'd been hanging out in the crow's nest.
He hops down the last several feet onto the deck, tossing a salute in the direction of the two as he gets up.]
So, this here's the dragon-kid you were talkin' about, Jumpstart?
no subject
Ah, yeah. Dude, this is Hiccup. Hiccup, Gaius.
[Gestures to each as he introduces them.]
We're still looking for Toothless.
no subject
[Well, that's new. Excuse his confused eyebrow/forehead crease.]
Nice to finally meet you. I heard you're the one who helped Raphael get this ship?
no subject
[He walks over towards them, giving a nod in Hiccup's direction.]
Hey. Yeah, that's right. Nice one too, don't you think?
no subject
I wanted to go bigger, but Gaius pointed out we'd need more people to manage it.
[Walks over to the ship's wheel, taking two of the handles like he's actually going to sail it somewhere -- or has any idea how to.]
Glad we decided on this one.
no subject
[A little crestfallen, but it's good to hear that several people have already been keeping an eye out for Toothless.]
Maybe tomorrow, then. We'll see.
[The relaying of how they went about choosing the right ship just settles things. With that kind of logic, Gaius is someone he can trust. Hiccup nods.]
Yeah. Real nice. Bigger than any ship I've seen, anyway. And maybe twice as wide.
[That wheel is something he'll need to learn about, though. What is that.]
