What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

[ Cynthia took a moment to just stare at the beached sea urchin next to her. The poor thing looked dead tired. But then, as Roxas' official babysitter, she really shouldn't be surprised that he was. Cynthia puts her book down to lean over and kiss the top of his head. ]

A nap would do you good, bro.

[ She then goes back to her book. But she'll be playing with his hair for a bit. ]

[He blushes and mumbles something unintelligible. He's not very good at being fussed over. He's quiet for a while, but he's kind of too tired to sleep, so he eventually opens his eyes to squint vaguely at the sand.]

Can't get to sleep.

And why is that, darling? Too much on your mind? Or do you just need someone to cuddle?

[ She takes her hand away for just a split send to flip the page of her book. Then it's back playing with his hair. Cynthia wasn't sure why, but playing with those spikes kind of amused her. Plus it might get him to relax. She heard that some people feel more relaxed when their hair gets played with. Maybe he was one of them...or maybe she was using that as an excuse to be the overly affectionate not-really-sister.]

I need a vacation from my vacation.

[He does like having his hair played with, but he's not about to tell anyone that. It embarrassed the hell out of him how flustered he got the last time Roxas tried. In fact, it was what led to Professor Lea's Embarrassment 101 seminar. If she keeps it up, he might well fall asleep and he hopes that happens before anyone notices how red his ears are from blushing. Maybe he can pass it off as sunburn.]

It's been back and forth and back and forth all day long. I'm getting too old for this.

Well, Roxas isn't here now, and I'm too lazy to actually do anything except finish this book and maybe be my brother's cuddle buddy if he needs one.

[ She'll say that with a straight face. But she's definitely laughing on the inside. ]

Just don't worry about today. If Roxas gets too rowdy, I'll tie him to a tree or something.

He'd get loose. And no cuddling.

[He wouldn't object to it at all, actually, except Roxas is capable of getting jealous of everything and everyone and he doesn't have the brain or the inclination to explain things to him when he has his inevitable meltdown over it.]

That'd be a trainwreck.

To be honest with you Lea, my entire relationship with Roxas is a trainwreck. At this rate, I'm pretty sure tying him to a tree would be the most social I could be without him blowing up on me...again.

[ She says nonchalantly as she turns to the next page of her book. ]

[Lea waves a hand vaguely.]

He gets moody. If he was holding a grudge, I'd have heard something about it by now. He just thinks you don't like him.

[Which is what it seems like he thinks about everybody, Lea included, who doesn't fawn all over him and treat him like an adorable little toddler like most of the Spades did. Lea's lost count of the times Roxas has gone and told people that "Lea's mad at him" or accused him of this or that just because he was less than thrilled about something, occasionally not-Roxas-related somethings.]

He's in a good mood today, so he probably won't remember any of that ever happened.

Funny thing though, I don't think I've ever had a conversation with you that didn't end up with us talking about Roxas. Kind of sad, now that I think about it.

[ She turns the page again...]

The offer to cuddle still stands if you need it, by the way. Not in a romantic way, but more like a "my brother needs me" way...whatever.

So, other than you chasing Roxas and...you chasing Roxas, anything else happen to you today?

[To be fair, he's gotten used to to it dominating all of his conversations because it's all anyone seems to be interested in talking to him about. He's not one to talk about himself much unprompted and not many people care enough to ask.]

That's been about it.

[He shrugs. It really has.]

I was gonna steal a crab from the aquarium or something, but I couldn't figure out how to get it out. He didn't believe I could do it.

Steal a crab? Lea, look around you. Wait long enough and you'd probably step on a few by accident. Now if you're in the mood to do something really stupid, we could always steal Kitty's bells.

Yeah, well if he was dipping them in the touch tank at the aquarium, maybe I would've.

[Some people just don't get it. Sure there are crabs everywhere, but those crabs are free for the taking. Take one from the aquarium and it's an accomplishment.

My poor baby...so bored he wants to steal crabs from kiddie touch ponds when he could be out doing something better with his life.

[ She pats his head lightly. ]

Don't worry darling, your sister's going to make sure you have fun while where here. Even if it kills her.

Hey! Don't question my life decisions!

[Her words kind of evoke the image of the bored older brother tagging along and staring at sea life, desperately trying to find a way to keep himself entertained. What actually happened involved a lot more intense interest in what in the touch tank he could steal and eat, menacing hermit crabs, and arguing over what he could and couldn't steal out of the tank and why.]

That crab had it coming.

[ She actually puts her book down and gives him a look. ]

Of course I did. I could have stolen most of the stuff in there, but most of those things would've died before I got 'em back to the boat.

[Girls. They never understand these things. Well, Larxene might have, but Larxene was psycho.]

[ He tried to steal from an aquarium. How do you even react to your brother trying to steal from an aquarium...?

She ends up with a chuckle.]

[That just earns her a grumble from Lea. He'll proclaim himself to be adorable, but he doesn't deal well with observations like that from other people. It doesn't help that she's equating badass things like stealing from the aquarium with being cute. That's not cute at all.]

[ Insert fake sniffle. ]

Now you have two options, you either go back to your nap and I can finally finish this book, or we could both give up and go order margaritas.

Well, I don't know if they deliver or not. But we have the next best thing.

[ With a whistle, it didn't take long for a certain blue dog to appear in front of them. He had been running around the beach with Garchomp and Milotic. But once his trainer calls, he MUST obey. ]

Two margaritas? Or do you want something else?

Margarita's fine. Not sure I even know what that is except that it's booze and that's good enough for me.

[Poor little guy, though. He was having fun out there and now he has to play waiter. Lea would tip him if he had any money left on him.]

[ Cynthia turns to her Lucario and gives him a small pouch. She always fails to mention to her crew that her Lucario does understand human speech and can speak back through telepathy. But keeping the secret is much more fun. ]

Get something for you guys too, just promise me you won't waste is all on chocolates again.

[ The blue dog nods and runs off. ]

Man...they grow up so fast.

He's the baby of my team. A friend gave him to me as a present, and who was I to turn down such a sweet little boy?
