What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

Yeah, well, I made a promise to the kid and now I'm deliverin'. Roxas, I mean. He's been buggin' me about this ice cream stuff for ages, and Gaius finally figured out how to make it.

We're havin' a party, so don't go nowhere, all right?

Who would miss out on a party? Sounds like crazy talk, Gan Ning! Haha!

[Tsuzuki laughed. Seriously, the thought of missing out on free sweets and fun sounds like madness to him. He was the prince of escapism, and this was usually want he would be escaping into.]

Roxas mentioned he liked sea salt ice cream when we met. It is a nice treat. Who is Gaius though? I don't think I've met him yet.

[as long as everything here is taken care of, Ning turns to hang out and chat. Things are getting started, anyway, and some of the locals are drifting over to see if they can join in.]

Gaius? Oh, he's one of the magic guys on the ship. Good fighter, but he uses magic too. He's in the galley a lot, Lea's the main cook but Gaius likes sweet stuff so he's always in there bakin' and stuff.

[Remember his face when you mentioned diamonds would pay for his booze, Gan? Well, he's making it now. Booze and sweets, could he be in a better paradise? He needed to meet this Gaius...]

I love home-made sweets... I'll have to try his some time. Hm! In the mean time, I must say you are a very considerate captain to think of your crew like this. They all speak so highly of you, and I already was surprised that you were a captain when we first spoke. You're so down to earth. I hope I can contribute some more in the future. I can't stay a greenhorn forever. Haha!

Nah, don't worry about it. [he shrugs a bit, not used to such nice compliments.] I'm just doin' what I think is best for my guys. Always have. The world in general was never good to guys like me, fourth sons and orphans and anyone else who didn't fit in to the imperial order and took up piracy instead. Ain't no reason to be a jerk to my crew, really.

I guess Life really is one Hell of a thing to live through everywhere, huh? It's good to know you didn't let it sour your personality though. Great charisma makes people willing to follow you. I wish mine was better. I think my friends mostly worry if I'll run into a brick wall half the time. Aha...

Eh, it takes all kinds, yanno. I wish I had half the charisma of Sun Ce, now there was a hell of a guy.

Really, though, don't worry about it. I don't need a crew fulla people exactly like me, everybody's got their place.

I'm not sure where I can fit in. I'm not even sure what I can do. I was cut off from some of my resources when I woke up here. I haven't tested myself much either... but hopefully, I'll come through when it counts.

Mm! I'm a top class Ofuda practitioner. Most of the familiars I call on to help though aren't responding, but I have other things I can do. Some of my abilities are working either. I suppose I could use some practice though, just to test myself. Volunteering, Captain? Hm?

Hahaha! I wouldn't paint a target on my good friend just yet. Don't worry. I'm sure I'll find someone to help me test my abilities while I'm here. If I can be of help, I'm good for defense and offense, but I'll never be the defender my partner is. His barriers are scary, since they are as strong as his emotions...

[the best wingman ever, that's who! Although Ning isn't really looking for women tonight. It's booze and more booze. Plenty has been set up, including some of the best rum this island can boast. The locals may make fruity cocktails with it but he wants it straight. And there's lots of it.

They can save the sake and musou wine for special days. This calls for all the rum on the beach!]

[He sees Gan heading for the rum. Oh, a good choice! He grins as he hopes no one was interested in drinking any of the later. He doubted Gan Ning was a light-weight. Been a while since he had a decent drinking buddy...]
