Beach party beach party

Who: Hazmat crew!
Where: Aquatica Paradise (and sailing to it if you'd like)
When: appx Sept 24-30 (or, for sailing, anytime the 14-23)
What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!
Warnings: not likely

Status: closed to Hazmat crew only unless another crew is on the island?

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

I guess not. What're you doing?

[He leans over the edge of the tank a bit to watch, swishing his arms in the water which frightens a fish or two. Oops, he hadn't meant to do that.]

I think I pet all the things in here already.

You done? I was trying to get this guy off.

[Snails are stubborn, though, and it's not budging. So much for stealing a snail. He's doomed not to look cool.]

[It's okay Lea can look cool doing something else.]

I think I'm done. There's other things to do here right?

[Exploring the aquarium is secondary to petting all the marine life he could get his hands on.]

Here on the island or here in the aquarium? Probably a lot in both cases, really.

[Lea has been trying to take it easy, but that's not exactly something Roxas excels at. He expected if he found him, he was going to end up getting dragged around for the rest of the day and it looks like he's right.]

Do they have sharks? I wanna see sharks.

[Since you don't want to look too close at them when you're out to sea and, as stated before, he doesn't get to go to the aquarium much.]

I dunno! Let's go see! Do you think I could pet one?

[Roxas tugs on Lea's sleeve and heads deeper into the aquarium.]

No, you can't pet a shark! Sharks bite, remember? That's why you don't go in the water when they're around. What is it with you and petting everything, anyway?

[Lea continues griping as Roxas drags him along. Seriously, it's an aquarium, not a petting zoo. Of course, Roxas treated the ship as his own personal petting zoo when they first got there before he decided everyone hated him or whatever.]

Oh yeah, I guess they do.

[He doesn't want to be bitten, that's for sure. He blinks at the question and Lea's griping and he shrugs a little.]

I don't know, I just want to know things.

[He feels like he's being scolded. But he was supposed to pet the fish! It said so!]

[He can't blame him for that, really, but one of these days Roxas is going to get handsy with the wrong person/animal/whatever and get himself in trouble.]

Well, don't go trying to get to know sharks better, okay? Bad idea.

[He pauses at a tank that holds giant spider crabs and makes a horrified face. Damn. Maybe it's a good thing he didn't go to aquariums as a kid because he would have ended up with nightmares. Is there really stuff like that in the ocean?]

Don't pet those, either.

I can't, there's glass there.

[He came close to getting in trouble with Naesala but talked his way out. He hums a little bit, thinking. At least he learned to ask first.]

It's a good thing there's glass there! Those things are creepy.

[So of course he bends over and presses his face up to the glass to see them better. Ugggh, they're all spindly and creepy and huge. You better be able to eat them, otherwise there's not an excuse for something so awful existing.]

Geez, look at them. I don't know whether to scream or cry.

[He doesn't look like he's going to do either, but he figures a lot of other people probably do.]

[Naturally Roxas peers in closer to take a look too, but then one of them moves and he jumps a bit.]

I don't think I like these ones. They are kinda creepy.

[And because he's a boy at an aquarium, he taps on the glass to see if they'll move some more.]

KINDA? That's the creepiest thing I've seen since those giant spiders! I'm not sure the giant spiders were even that creepy!

[Especially since the way the spider crabs move is so slow-motion and weird. When Roxas taps the glass, one of them moves backwards and away from the noise and it's pure nightmare fuel.]

Go find something cute or I think I really am gonna cry.

Okay! Come on!

[Roxas takes Lea's hand and leads him down the hall to another tank with little baby sharks. Definitely cuter.]

Aww, tiny killing machines. Too bad they won't let you pet them. You'd probably only lose a finger or two.

[Lea taps the glass to see if he can scare them because that's what you do to fish, right? He's setting a terrible example, probably, but he doesn't really care.]

They're little though, I don't think they can kill anything! Look how little they are!

[Not that Roxas wants to lose a finger or anything but even their sharp teeth don't look that sharp. They scatter around when Lea taps on the glass because of the unexpected noise, but there's only so far to go so they start drifting back once the rush is over.]

I don't know...I bet they could do a number on one of those little minnows or something. Or are all little things harmless? Huh? Shorty?

[Lea rests his arms on top or Roxas' head. He's not sure if he's capable of growing, but he's starting to think he's going to be short forever, regardless. Not that that's a problem.]

Hey! I'm not harmless! I could beat you!

[A little good natured grumbling. He is used to Lea resting his arm there.]

Have to reach me first.

[Of course, he knows Roxas could kick his ass any day, but there's no way he's going to tell him that. He'll just lean on his arms and lord his superior height over him some more.]

[Roxas could, but they're just playing around and in that spirit he stands on tiptoe and tries to plant his hand on the top of Lea's head.]

I'll get you yet!

[Lea leans back and cranes his neck to keep him from reaching.]

You're gonna have to get a lot taller before you can do that. Like, a whole foot. Maybe more. Two whole feet.

[It won't take that much, but best to set the bar high.]

[He lets out a little huff and tries some more, stretching as much as he can.]

Leeeaaa! You're cheating again! Be less tall!

[Because that is clearly the solution here.]

Nope! Can't make me! I'm gonna be this tall forever!

[It's the truth, at least. Well, maybe he'd shrink a bit if he got old, but there's no sense in telling Roxas that. He's not even sure Roxas gets the concept of aging yet.]

[Lea asks for it sometimes, he really does. Roxas needs to stop him from leaning out of his reach and decides his best option is to stop Lea's movements. He puts more effort into reaching, taking steps forward. If this works he will have Lea pinned to the wall and he should be able to stretch and press close enough to him to reach. The only problem is if Lea catches on. Then he's in trouble.]

[Lea takes a few steps backwards before he catches on to what Roxas is up to. He dodges out of the way and slips around behind him to take advantage of his raised arms to tickle his armpits.]

Like I'd fall for that!

[He squeals out a giggle and scoots away from him.]

Almost did!
