Who: Hazmat crew!
Where: Aquatica Paradise (and sailing to it if you'd like)

What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

Urgh...I can't even have a nice vacation without this world messing me up somehow. Arceus Gaius, I'm sorry. I know you're important to me. I just...need to remember why.

Well hey, don't blame yourself, Cynthia. I think I've had my share of misery in this place...

We're crew mates. We've been for...okay, maybe I'm not the best to ask exactly how long, but I know it has to have been a while, at least.

Seven months, because that's how long I've been a member of hazmat.

[ A sigh, this is starting to really frustrate her. ]

You took me from that horrible cave and...you saved my life. More than once, right?

[He scratches the back of his head.]

Something like that... Heh. You do seem to attract trouble now and then.

Crazy villagers, savages, giant spiders. Obviously I'm a magnet for trouble. But hey, I'm trying to remember one other thing. That one time we were on the beach. Apparently I had amnesia but you helped me remember who you were. I'm trying to remember how I thanked you for helping me.

[ She smirks. Honestly, first thing that'd come to mind would be a hug. But she's done that to him so many times, it's actually lost its luster. ]

Sweets, we're on a beach almost every other island we sail to. Kinda comes with the territory.

Ahh that irritating humor. I can't believe I almost forgot that?

[He grins.]

Irritating? Ouch.

So, you mentioned something about ice cream? I can't remember if you were trying to actually make some or if you're just trying to perfect some recipe. But I do remember you talk about it once or twice.

Yep, that's right.

Guess both would be right. I had to get a recipe for it, and once I had the basics down, I was working on getting the flavors right.

And what flavors do you have so far? They'd better be good if it took you a whole amnesia episode before you bothered to drag your sorry butt out of that galley.

Hey. I was mainly trying to get one flavor right since that's what got me on this whole ice cream endeavor to begin with. But once you know how to make vanilla, you can go anywhere when it comes to flavors.

So. Aside from seasalt ice cream for Duckling, I have swirled chocolate fudge, one with caramel and toffee bits, chocolate because you gotta have chocolate, and mint because I found a giant chunk of candy cane.

...and where are you storing all of this?

That ice box thing. Nice that the size upgrades with each ship we steal. Wish we had those things back home!

Oh, you mean the make shift fridge thing. Yeah, they're pretty useful. But I didn't think it'd be able to hold ice cream. You'd need a decent freezer for stuff like that or it'd melt...unless...

[ She maybe have amnesia. But she still remembers her pokemon, and that one of her pokemon cold actually create blizzards on demand. Cynthia didn't think it was useful outside battle. But it is now. ]

There's one flavor that I'd love for you to make. It's my all time favorite.

Had that much to work with, the rest was all good old creativity.

What flavor's that?

Mint chocolate chip. You said you had some mint already so that shouldn't be hard to make, right? Also white chocolate chip and razz berry swirl. But that might be a little too challenging since razz berries are impossible to get in this world

[ Nope, not raspberry. Razz berry, because the pokemon world is weird. Moving on. ]

That shouldn't be difficult at all. And I wouldn't say that this razz berry thing would be impossible either- probably take some time to get 'em, but if I'm remembering right, that Miss Margie can get just about anything.

Oh right, Miss Margie...yeah I nearly forgot about that store of hers. Next time we head to IE, I should remember to check for berries and poffins.

Seems to be the best idea. Haven't seen any announcements from her lately for her delivery service, anyway.

[ Now she felt a little awkward. Normally, it wasn't difficult for her to hold a conversation with Gaius. But with the gaps in her memory, she didn't really know him enough to know what else to talk about. ]

[Yeah, lapsing silence always made for awkward. Gaius scratches the back of his head with his non-popsical-stick-holding hand.]

Anyway, Gaius. I think I've been out in the sun long enough. I'll head back to the ship.

[ She gets off the rock she was sitting on and walks over to give him a good bye kiss on the cheek...and maybe steal a piece of candy from his pocket. ]

...unless you want to walk back with me?

Hm? Already? Well, I guess you've been out here longer than I have.

[Can't steal from a thief, but he'll let her take a piece cuz he's nice like that. He smiles lightly, brow arched.]

What was that for?

I don't mind walking back. Never been much for sand and sun.

[ For the record, she doesn't even know he's a thief. Just a really handsome ginger who smells nice and is, apparently, a very important person to her. It's a miracle she even knew about the candy in his pocket. ]

Because you're more of a sit in a dark corner funneling buckets of sugar into your mouth, right? But gosh, you could have fooled me. Didn't expect you to look good without a shirt on.

[ She playfully pokes at his stomach. With all the layers this guy wore, this was a rare treat for her. ]
