Into the storm
Who: Hazardous Materials with special guest star Draco Malfoy
Where: the ship, and then Eternal Bliss (oh joy)
When: November 1-5 at sea, 6-? on land
What: sailing log, and then shenanigans on wedding island
Warnings: let me know if there are any
Style: as you please
Status: closed to "who"
[As soon as the sun did not rise on the 1st, like others had suggested it would, Gan Ning wanted off Isla Empieza. He put out the call to his crew - get on the ship, leave no man behind. Or woman, Cynthia.
The storm hit while they were two days out from the island. It would take all hands on deck to keep the Nightfury from capsizing, good thing they have a couple of solid dragons to keep things in check. Just watch out for Gaius and his fiery pendant! By the time the storm blows out in the wee hours on the 4th, the charts put them drifting near to Eternal Bliss. Are the residents still pissed at pirates for what Kodachi did? Who cares, they need to land to make repairs. And maybe score some treasure, if anyone wants to go through the marriage requirement.
Date your posts and mingle away!]

I guess that you'd better get it, yeah.
[He seems to be thinking about something and looks like he's decided.]
I am going to take you on one of those date things. You know, going out and doing stuff.
no subject
You are, huh? And what exactly do you have planned?
[He's pretty sure Roxas has no idea what a date entails, so this should be interesting. It's funny that he's bringing it up, too, since he was the one who was all fidgety over that magic love fruit or whatever he bought from the store on Isla Empieza a few months ago.]

[He smiles at Lea. That reaction is interesting. Is he embarrassed again?]
I owe you food, so I guess we can get food...and um, do something fun. Whatever they have on that island, but not skateboarding because you don't like it.
[They already ate the paopu fruit, so it isn't the kind of thing on his mind.]
Does that sound okay?

[Lea smiles and ruffles Roxas' hair. It almost sounds like Roxas has been doing a little research, but he's pretty sure most of this comes from listening to things Lea has told him before. That's still a pretty impressive step for Roxas, though, so Lea's pretty happy with it.]

Okay good! And maybe if it goes okay I'll give you a really nice kiss. Like the kind when you make it so I can't breathe.
[How he isn't sure, but he'll figure it out.]
no subject
One thing at a time, Casanova. Geez, let's not get ahead of ourselves here.
no subject
[The Cassanova reference is above his head, but he hums thoughtfully.]
I could always try to give you a really good kiss now.
[He has no idea how it sounds.]

[Lea shoves him again for good measure. It's easier than meeting the issue head on. Really, Roxas talking about the whole dating situation like he's an elementary schooler planning on going to the candy store with some girl from class and getting all excited about holding her hand and not catching cooties weirds him out a little, but he's not sure how to address it without getting blown up at.]
no subject
It's really Roxas' fault. Lea told him before he didn't want to do any dating with him.]
Yeah, really, I guess. It's okay, we don't have to. When we go to the island, I'll just go get you some food that I promised you and I'll bring it to you okay? I won't forget!
[He isn't all that great at describing things and although he has more on his mind than some elementary school crush, considering everything, he has no idea it comes across that way. What he did notice though was Lea shoving him and making comments instead of being on board with the plan so at some point he's said something stupid. Actually, the whole thing was probably stupid and maybe Lea just didn't want to say that. He rubs at his forehead, trying to decipher just what's going on here.]

Knock it off. I said I'd go and I'm gonna go.
[Lea sighs and leans back. There's really no way to bring these things up. That's what he's learning.]
If I didn't know better, I'd say someone taught you the fine art of the guilt trip.
no subject
If you're sure Lea.
[He blinks at the comment and turns his head to glance at him.]
What do you mean? I'm not trying to do anything. It's just if you didn't want to go, that's okay. We could do something else.
no subject
[The girl voice isn't helping.]
no subject
What he does know is that opening his mouth is not helping him right now. Roxas doesn't want to fight with Lea, because he's still a little freaked out and doesn't want to leave his arms just yet.
He closes his mouth and leans forward a little, resting his chin on the palm of his hand, the elbow resting on his knee. He sighs but says nothing.]
no subject
When he figures Roxas has had enough time to sulk and/or think things over, Lea tickles his side.]
no subject
Stop that!
no subject
[Lea tickles him one last time for good measure. It's a cheap trick, but it works every time.]
no subject
Don't do that! I wasn't really thinking about much anyway. It's not important.
no subject
[Lea smacks him back.]
I know what I saw.
[And he's managed to disrupt it somewhat, at least. Whether that will come back to bite him in the ass later remains to be seen.]
