We ought to pull away from the island before engaging. It's full of magic that would be disrupted by violence. How many are there?
no subject
Uh. A few. [he hasn't looked] Wonder if they knew more than one of us would be here.
I'll get the anchor. Let's shove off and give ourselves some breathing room, here.
[Robin's right, and Zoro's already waking up enough to think. Spacing out from the Spades and other ships will be to their advantage]
no subject
Mn. That many? We should make sure their fire doesn't hit the island on accident.
no subject
G'morning, Robin-chwan, Keimi-chwaaan! Apologies, breakfast will be a little delayed today -- but I'll have tea and coffee ready in a moment!!
[Just as soon as he helps get the ship moving. But as soon as that's done, he'll disappear back into the galley to get some steaming mugs prepared.]
no subject
[Robin will see to the rigging if Zoro's getting the anchor. There's enough of her to go around.]
[A distant crack means more cannon fire headed their way.]
no subject
Mn. That sounds wonderful, Sanji-chin.
I'm going to go change out of my nightgown...
no subject
NOT NECESSARY, KEIMI-CHAN CAN FIGHT IN HER NIGHTGOWN!!
[Now back to everyone else actually being useful...]
no subject
The sails are set and ready when you are, Zoro!
no subject
[he's had the rope in his hands, ready for the signal, still yawning and rubbing his good eye. Oh, is it time now? He doesn't even glance when he hears the distant cannon-fire, feeling out enough to know that it will miss wide off the bow this time, so he pulls the anchor up and lashes it to the railing]
All set when you guys are!
[meanwhile, he'll go and lazily draw one sword just in case]
no subject
What the hell is going on?
[She shoots a blunt tipped arrow at an oncoming cannonball causing it to deflect just enough to fall short of the ship]
no subject
Oh, are we ready?
no subject
Though he does detour briefly to kick away another cannonball coming toward them (maybe the pirates will realize eventually that they don't even blink an eye at the shitty things), before hopping back to the deck just in front of Robin and swooping forward into half a bow, serving tray held out in front of him. And not a single drop spilled!]
My dear~
[He straightens again to look around at the ships, and holds a cup out for Keimi, as well, as she comes closer. Then he turns to offer Lorelai one next.]
Pirate attack. Probably still got a few minutes before they catch up.
no subject
Good, I got time to warm up. Hope they're worth at least a workout.
[yep, Lorelei, look at who you're with. So nonchalant]
no subject
How can you act so nonchalant while we are under attack?
no subject
[She sets her hairbrush in her lap to take her cup of tea. Ah, just the way she likes it.]
I wanted to get some exercise today, but I didn't really mean this.
no subject
Thank you, Sanji-kun.
[She turns to lean against the rail, squinting into the distance.]
It's quite a fleet. Seems they knew there'd be a lot of us here. We might have a bit of wind southward, if we draw them after us our allies can charge them from behind, don't you think?
no subject
Sanji gives a little twirl, his heart fluttering right out of his chest and seemingly duplicating in the air around him.]
Of course, my beautiful flowers~! Anything for you!!
[Ahhhhh, Robin-chan is so smart! Sanji twirls again in admiration, but then calms down and takes his own teacup, sipping at it while he tucks the now empty tray under his arm.]
That works for me. Might as well head over soon, no point waiting for 'em to board the ship if we can avoid it.
no subject
no subject
Or well. One of her does. There are a few Robins out on the deck, manning the sails, trying to catch a bit of wind.]
It's a raid. We're pulling away from the island so we don't disrupt its magic, and so we'll have room to maneuver. Have you learned knot tying yet?
no subject
no subject
Tie this off, and make sure it doesn't come loose.
no subject
HNGGHH
no subject
Do you know how to fire the cannons?
no subject
no subject
[But she's amassing a small arsenal of cannonballs that have been fired at their ship, so ammo won't be a problem. Robin gestures toward the deck cannons- smaller, but visible to the rest of the crew.]
Most cannons function under the same principles. Even if it's different, I'm sure you'll figure it out quickly.
