[Maybe her power is like one of the true runes. That level of power always had a downside. They made their way to the end of the hall and peeked inside the next room. Random jets of flame shooting out from the floor every couple of seconds. There had to be a pattern but it was definitely well hidden. She stops and begins taking in the flames of the room, trying to spot the pattern that would get them through]

So, I'm guessing it's like the True Runes back in my world? Incredible power usually comes with bad side effects.
