The Day o' Davy Jones

August 31st - September 7th
Isla Empieza
OPEN TO ALL PLAYERS, CURRENT AND PAST!!

The time has come. The way to Empieza is open. The mists still swirl around and the low, greenish cloud hangs heavy over the island, flickering with green lightning. But now there is a way to get in and a place to weigh anchor. The Navs seem to have stopped functioning, though. Pity.
In any case, there is a path to the central plaza of Empieza, bordered on either side by mist that feels caustic to the touch and seems almost ready to break free. From either side and within the mist are screams that linger as they fade, rattling growls, and other sounds that could induce nightmares in even the bravest of souls.
And somewhere in the mist lies Davy Jones, the rest of the shards, and a battle that will decide the outcome of this world...and yourselves.

The hell, how did people get to get back? No, I don't even wanna try to imagine how. I'm just glad you're back, kid - it's the worst possible time for you, but best for us. We were kinda thin on the ground, we coulda used some reinforcements. And here ya are.

[Said loftily, as he brushes some hair out of his face.
Inside, he's reeling a bit, but this kind of seems like it isn't the time or place to be questioning things. Besides, since when has anything in this world ever made sense?
So he just sighs a bit and juts a thumb over his shoulder.]
I woke up in that shop -- the Backwater Brig? The one Miss Margie runs...though she wasn't there. But that's where you get things you need from other worlds, right? Maybe that has something to do with it.
[A beat, then his brow furrows.]
Although there were some strange turtle demon things lurking about, as well, so I could be completely wrong.
no subject
....
...wait, wait- turtle demons? How big were they?
no subject
[he can't be upset about this at all]
no subject
They certainly looked like demons.
[Then to Gaius.]
They were big. Far bigger than turtles have any right to be, and I've seen more than a fair few enlarged with an Engorgio. One of them was probably taller than me!
[Pause.]
Wait, the whole crew?
[...Now that he thinks about it...he does vaguely recall something about there being anthropomorphic turtles sailing around before.]
no subject
If there were any doubts that something big was happening...
[He shakes his head.]
At least we get a reunion out of it. Should we go find them?
no subject
Go on, go get 'em. Make sure they're okay and fill 'em in on things. I'll explain it to Draco. Bring 'em here, this looks like the only real safe spot on the island right now.
[and then he grins for Draco]
Here we are standin' at the gates of Hell, but we got you guys back! Don't worry, somethin' tells me you won't be hangin' around too long. Just don't get yourself killed first.
no subject
[They're certainly better than gates of Hell, which Draco makes a bit of a face at.]
Nobody would actually bring me back here to participate in some sort of great fight, would they? That seems like a terribly poor idea.
[HE IS NOT A GRYFFINDOR.
Also screw the overgrown turtles, he wants to see a certain dragon again.]
no subject
no subject
So. Draco. Let's rap.]
Bad idea or not, it's what's what. Things went a bit crazy a couple months ago, not too long after you an' Roxas an' Sting disappeared off the ship. Davy Jones did his ghost thing at the start of the race, but that Cat woman was there and did some kinda sorcery. So now he's alive, or undead or whatever ya call it, and he's suckin' in all the shards. So if we wanna get home, we gotta actually take him down. One way or another.
Won't lie, we can use you. Ya got spells like some of us ain't never seen. [he huffs a quick laugh, then] Coulda used ya at Port Chance, fightin' the big black snake thing. It had a lotta nasty heads, I kept thinking of what you did against the kraken. Ah well. Too late now, eh?
no subject
[That really doesn't leave many people left on the crew, does it?
He listens to the rest of that, eyes widening a bit.]
...You can't bring people back from the dead, though. Ghosts either stay a bloody ghost or they move on -- is he some kind of inferius? [No, wait, what's the word they use in the Muggle world—] Or zombie?
[Because that's gross and he wants nothing to do with it.
He huffs a little.]
Merlin... Sounds like a right mess, really. But I'd be lying if I said it wouldn't be really satisfying to make that arsehole explode.
no subject
So here's hopin' the bastard is afraid of fire like the little ones, or we're gonna have more than a right mess here.
no subject
Lovely. I've just about had my fill of them, I think.
[But then he lets a small smirk tug at his mouth.]
I guess I could handle one more, though. Have we got a plan?
no subject
The bastard's not hard to find, that's for sure. Gaius nabbed us a bunch o' shards like these - [tapping the one chained around his neck, hanging below the bronze torc he always wears] - and they seem to do some good so make sure ya grab one. Maybe stop by the Backwater Brig and stock up on weapons and magic stuff, and then it's straight for Davy Jones.
[he knows nothing about the heart, this is all he knows: find the big evil thing and hit it until it goes down]
no subject
So, basically, load up and charge the bastard.
[SIGH. With a slight head shake (though there might be a hint of amusement somewhere in there).]
Bloody typical Gryffindor. But it's not as though I've the time to come up with some sort of actual strategy.
[He taps his chin anyway, a thoughtful look falling over his face.]
I guess we'll see how he handles magic...being magical himself. I'll leave the punching and whatnot to you. [A beat. Points at the shard necklace.] And yes, I want one of those shiny things.
no subject
[he grins, then] Yanno, all this time here the one thing I ain't had was a strategist. You're no Lu Meng but if ya got some ideas, I'll hear 'em out. [anytime between now and...whenever they actually start fighting, that is.]
no subject
[Almost as an afterthought, he reaches to see if his journal came back with him -- and it did, of course. So he flips to the most recent entries, quickly skimming them.]
Can you think of anything else I should know? Or shall we head for the fight?
no subject
[dammit Draco don't make him be smart]
Dunno. I'd rather regroup, make sure everybody's got what they need before we go in. It looks like there's more'n just us fighting here, but I don't think there's time to get every last one of 'em lined up ready to go. So long as I know my guys are prepared, 's all good.
[manly nod] Good to see ya again, kid. [even if it might not be for much longer]
no subject
[Though he sounds a little distracted suddenly, eyes narrowing a bit as he reads over something in the journal again.
He looks up abruptly.]
Sorry, just— Do you mind if I dash back over to the Backwater Brig? You mentioned, er...stocking up on weapons and magic stuff, yeah? I'll probably run into Gaius there anyway and I can get a necklace from him, and then we'll join you lot at the battle?
no subject
Yeah sure. Works for me. See ya in a bit.
no subject
I'll see you, then.
[GOODBYE FOREVER, GAN NING.
...No, not really, but he does wait until Gan Ning takes off and disappears from view before he circles back around to the fountain, where Meep is. He doesn't approach him, though, since he seems pretty busy.
Just eyes him curiously, looking back and forth between Meep and the journal in his hands.]
no subject
[At the moment it did't matter. She needed to check out things first, then maybe find her crew. So out in the town she walked, bare footed, like always, looking around. As she sees the blond though her eyes light up. Draco is looking at Meep and the fountain, but Ariel is watching him.]
[On silent feet she ran over towards him, stopping a few feet before him and grinning, feeling more at ease now that she found someone she trusted.]
Draco! What is going on?
no subject
Draco starts, eyes going wide as he spins on his heel to face Ariel.]
Ariel. How did— What're you—??
[...Ahem.
He manages to take a breath and calm down, though it doesn't stop him from quickly stepping over to her. After all, didn't he just reappear here, too, apparently? So he obviously wasn't the only one.]
I didn't think I'd ever see you again.
[The calm facade slips and he grins a little, doesn't bother to stop it.]
Wish I had a proper update for you, though, but honestly, I don't. Evidently I only just returned myself. How are you??
no subject
[Still, seeing him made her smile with ease, even with all the chaos going around. And Sanji said that the crew was battling? Or at least would be. it was a bit worrisome.]
I didn't even realize I had gone missing, but it's good to see you again. It sounds like there is a lot of trouble going on. [As they were closer, she reached a hand out to rest on his arm, sticking a bit closer to him as she looked around at what was going on here.]
I'm fine, I think. Was I really gone? Is there really a battle starting? With Jones?
no subject
Oh, for Merlin's sake.]
You were. You've been gone...awhile, actually.
[Averts his eyes, glancing in the direction of where the battle rages on. The green clouds seem thickest there, with lightning occasionally flashing overhead.
He shudders a little.]
It seems I disappeared, too -- a matter of weeks, so says our esteemed captain. I suppose something needed our help here, so we were called back. And yes, just in time to fight that arsehole. [Huffs.] I don't even remember being home again. What a waste.
[He looks back to her.]
I missed you, you know. [The corner of his mouth quirks upwards again.] No one else was quite so willing to ride my broomstick.
[...............EXCUSE THE SUDDEN RUSH OF COLOR TO HIS FACE. Bloody buggering fuck, has broom talk always sounded so inappropriate??!]
