So Selphie has decided that there's been far too much doom and gloom around the ship lately. The kraken, Sora dead, all the problems with the curses, and then turning back again. What better way to make that better than with a little bit of romance? Selphie set to it, using her own supply of candles and flowers (admittedly rather dried up by now). One evening, dotted around the ship in several places, are pop up romantic dates. These include a couple of candles, some flowers, some chocolates, and a sandwich sliced into two (because she wasn't going to cook a whole bunch of meals)!

Who left it there? Who knows? But it definitely looks like it was put there to be enjoyed, ideally by two people. If it looks romantic, that's because it's supposed to be. So grab your nearest and dearest Spade pirate, or bring two people together, and enjoy some flirting, love, and relaxation.

As for Selphie herself, she might be A) somewhere on the ship. Perhaps you stumble across her near a pop up date, or maybe you go looking for her to drag her/invite her to join you for the evening. Or B) you spy her/find her making a massive pile of sandwiches, or sorting dead dried flowers into bouquets, using strips of her pillowcase as ribbons.

*She turns to Riku like she can't believe he had to ask that. What she says next is stated simply*

Sure, sweet... [Shrugs.] Maybe.

[Looks around, like maybe he's checking to see if they're on deck somewhere, but his eyes go back to Selphie and widen when she says that.]

What? Says who?

*Selphie raises a brow, wondering if maybe she shouldn't continue down rhat line of conversation and instead she just nods.

She blinks at his reaction to her statement, and raises a shoulder in a kind of half shrug*

Don't think anyone said it... But it still is true.

[Tips his head to the side a bit, frowning.]

You're crazy. And probably dealing with the wrong guys.

*Selphie just shakes her head slightly, not really understanding his frown*

No.. I don't think so. Seems to be the same with every guy. More likely that there's something wrong with me than with every guy I meet!

Selphie.

[Huffs out a breath, blowing upwards at his bangs, then shoves his hands into his pockets and looks a little awkward. He plows on, though!]

You're, like...really pretty, though. And nice.

[booyaka_boom]

*Selphie waited with a smile to see what he was going to say next. At his reply, there's a slight hint of a blush on her cheeks, and a bright grin broadens*

Aww, Riku, that's really sweet! Thank you.

[Flushes a little and looks away, his shoulders hunching up.]

It's just the truth. There's definitely nothing...wrong with you. You shouldn't think that.

*If he turns back around he'll see Selphie making an "aww what a cutie" face at him*

Well, I didn't think there was anything wrong with me, but I'm getting old now, and I'm not so sure. Or, like I said, I'm just not the kinda thing that guys like.

[Snorts.]

Getting old, yeah right.

[...Realizes he doesn't actually know her age anymore and glances at her again.]

Eighteen. But it's pretty bad to be an eighteen year old girl who's never had a boyfriend...

*Or been kissed, or even asked on a date. But she doesn't mention those because it's embarrassing, even by Selphie's standards*

It's not like I've ever dated anyone either. And you're only two years older than me. It's not that bad—is it?

[Kind of clueless about these things, tbh.]

Hmm... I dunno. At 16 there were some people who hadn't, but by 18 they had. Bit, my two best friends, the girl ones, they're both really so beautiful. I figure that's why I don't get noticed.

*But she just shrugs because she's resigned herself to what she is, and doesn't want to he depressed about it*

I mean, as a guy, you'll probably wind up asking someone out, or kissing someone, or something, in the next two years, right?

Uh.

[Blinks.]

I don't—how should I know? Maybe?

[Scratches his cheek and redirects his gaze skyward, which is totally a pose he picked up from Sora somewhere along the way.]

I haven't really thought about it.

[booyaka_boom]

*That just makes her laugh, and she looks at the set up behind him as he gazes away*

Well I guess that's cause you haven't met that person yet. But here's a clue - if you so, and you make a little date just like this, then you're onto a winner.

[Looks around at the candles and stuff.]

...It is nice, I guess.

*She smiles again at that, admiring her handiwork*

It is. Super romantic too. I think you'd be hard pushed to find yourself a girl that didn't like all this.

I dunno, I'm just saying.

[Gives her a small grin and a shrug.]

You're probably right, though.

Nopes. I'm definitely right!

*She looks at the flowers for a moment, wondering if maybe they were a little ti dry and dead to be romantic. Oh well*

*Possibly, she's still under the impression that he's waiting for Kairi. Or maybe one of the other girls, since he didn't say much about them*

[Looks vaguely alarmed.]

Hey, no, you don't have to—what chances, I'm not.

[WORDS. He huffs and shakes his head briefly, before trying again.]

It's not like I'm waiting for someone!

*Smiling at his reaction, Selphie looks around the ship*

Okay. I guess no one has come by here in a while, so doesn't seem like anyone is using it.. And it'd be a shame for all this to go to waste...

*So she just moves round Riku, grabs a chair, and plops herself down on it*

I suppose I can stay!

[darknessinside]

[Turns as she walks around him to watch her bemusedly, then chuckles and drops down into the other chair.]

You went through a lot of trouble to set all these up. [Pauses.] Or whoever it was. Chocolate?

[Pops one into his mouth before pushing the plate toward Selphie.]

*Wide eyes flicker up at him when he suspects that it's her, but she just shrugs lightly and gives a coy smile*

Mmhmm, whoever did do it, you mean. They obviously thought it was worthwhile.

*Still grinning, she takes a chocolate and chews on it slowly*

[Grins back at her before lowering his eyes.]

...You know, the first memory I have of you from when we were kids, we were on the beach playing around in the water and you were telling us about the legend of the paopu fruit and babbling about how romantic it was. I think you were maybe...four? And you've repeated that story about five hundred times over the years.

[Glances back up at her, amused.]
