Who: Everyone!
Where: The Shipyard
When: Friday afternoon
What: It's Friday afternoon, and Scurvey Dog's warnings about being out on the sea by Saturday were very clear. Everyone must be preparing for their departures by now! Whether it's checking out their new ships, doing inventory on supplies, or meeting their crews for the first time. This is an all-purpose post for everyone to use /o/
Warnings: WARNING: PIRATES
Status: Open!
[Nearly a week had passed since everyone had woken up to a less than friendly greeting from a bony old pirate ghost in the fountain. Nearly a week for people to discover how their journals worked, to interrogate the locals with curious questions, to explore the forest on the edges of the town, to nearly get stabbed in the face by unfriendly pirates. . . er, well, hopefully not too many people did that last one. But while a week might've seemed like plenty of time for everyone to get their bearings and sort out a crew, that week was slowly coming to a close.]
[Kaito had certainly made the most out of the one-week grace period Scurvey Dog had afforded them. Unfortunately, his own investigations hadn't turned up many answers, but at least he was more acquainted with the layout of the town and the forest next to it than he was upon arrival. And while he would've liked to stay to look around the island a little more, after his run-in with the pirates in the pub, he didn't exactly want to risk making the entire town's population unhappy. So today?]
[Today he was down by the shipyard, scoping out the harbor and getting a feel for what the weather would be like once they all set sail tomorrow. He can be found standing atop a ship's mast (how the heck did he get up there??) staring out into the horizon with one hand lifted above his eyes to shield them from the sun. Which ship is he standing on? Who knows? It could be your ship, or maybe it's some random ship in the harbor, he certainly doesn't discriminate and he is the type to hop from ship mast to ship mast to see which one affords him the best view.]
So that's the horizon we're sailing for, huh. . .
[It's mumbled to himself, though audible to anyone nearby]
Not bad, not bad~ It's bright and open and free for adventure!
[A beat, and then he scowls]
If only it wasn't attached to a stupid ocean. . .
((OOC: Please feel free to either respond to Kaito or make your own top levels with your characters doing their own things! Also feel free to threadjack other people and stuff, THIS POST IS TOTALLY OPEN for pre-departure shipyard mingling!))
