The entire Navy Base is up in arms, because one of the front-runner galleons owned by the base's Admiral is now up in flames.
Executions are still being drawn out and scheduled, though. Nothing is going to stop the Navy from attempting its gruesome task.
Though, a young man spotted with blood strolls through the crowd of Navy soldiers, walking opposite of their direction--towards the gallows. While other men sought to put it out, he walked right past it, fixing his fancy upturned hat and feather, regarding the gallows with disdain.]

One of the admirals leaned against a cannon a ways off from the burning ship, lighting it. There was no cannonball packed--only powder. The Admiral vanished, a trail of flames packing into the barrel of the cannon. The result was considerably more than expected. A 'beam' of flames rocketed in the direction of the execution block, putting a clean, fiery hole through it.
Soldiers cried out, leaping out of the way of the blast. Standing on the block, Ace took off the hat he stole from the Navy admiral he'd beaten within an inch of his life, dusting it off. There was blood on his face and even through his clothes, it was visible. He didn't get much a chance to dress any wounds when he stole them. That lovely uniform he planned on keeping was too far in disarray. Still, Ace kept composed as the soldiers all turned to face him, absolutely confused.
He reached into his pocket, pulling out a snail transponder, complete with an attached port which turned into a megaphone. Ace had always been excited to use it for the crew, but never had a chance. Now he had one. Nearly everyone throughout the base would have been able to hear him. For a moment, his eyes found Selphie and his composure was lost. There was nothing but rage in his eyes.]
Navy Soldiers. There's one law I'm going to teach you. Remember it well. Don't you ever lay a hand on my crew.
You've made a mistake you can't take back. What comes next--remember it! REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU HURT MY PRECIOUS CREW!
[His anger pulsed. A rush of wind overtook the stand and twisted the air--the full force of Ace's will striking the minds of every soldier within a hundred yards. The execution block splintered and shook. Many men and women, though not all--began collapsing where they stood, falling unconscious. Most others buckled, shaken and visibly confused. A handful others merely took steps back, abash and surprised to see their comrades fall.]

Then the man that was dragging her along by her wrists collapsed at once. Without that extra help to prop her up, she falls heavily onto her knees, head bowed forward*

By then, the crowd was beginning to realize what had happened.]
It's their captain! Didn't the head officer kill him!?
Hey. I'm here. [Though, as the words came out, he imagined it would have been very, very little comfort.]

Very not nice things.
Angry things.
Stepping into the execution yard, the Doctor's eyes ignored the soldiers, his ears ignored the screaming, and his nose the scent of burning wood and death. He was looking for his friends, and when his gaze swept over Selphie it took him a moment to even recognize her. And that was when his temper well and truly snapped. He headed towards here at a slow, deliberate pace, his face set in a furious glare, pinning the men that'd been dragging her in place like bugs to a corkboard. In one hand he held his screwdriver, and in the other an honest to goodness broadsword. It's hilt was covered in blinking lights, and several wires ran down it, disappearing into his long brown coat.
More guards moved to stop him, finally intercepting him a few feet from the battered young woman. One stepped in front, a particularly surly looking, strong willed one coming out in front while his fellows moved to surround the Time Lord.
"Halt, pirate. I don't care what your Captain says, you're not leaving here with any of the prisoners. Stand down and come quietly."
And the Doctor simply ignored him.
He peered around the big man and offered Selphie a comforting smile, his anger temporarily set aside for his friend.
"You alright dear? Don't worry, I'll have you out in a jiff."

But then he smiled at her, and sounded so casual that it made her head spin. He was acting so sure, like things were going to be okay. With all her fear, pain, and confusion, none of that made sense. It made her feel suddenly sick, and she threw her head forward again, taking deep breaths to calm herself.

"Now I don't know how you plan on doing that, pirate. You're surrounded and I don't know who you think you are but..."
The Doctor's attention snaps to focus on the man, cutting him off with a glare, and his soft expression hardened to the implacability of a mountain. His eyes burned, and his voice grew monstrously loud, echoing throughout the courtyard even over the noise.
"I'm the Doctor, and you just made the biggest mistake of your life, soldier. You hurt someone that I happen to like, and now you're trying to get between us. And that is not a very good position to be standing in. Let. Her. Go and you can get out of this without any further reprisal."
The marines around him all scoffed, laughing and drawing swords and guns. "Yeah, Doctor? Heard this from all sorts of pirates before. Dunno what you think is different about you."
When they stepped forward, of course...the Time Lord simply glowered and raised his screwdriver, clicking it on. And then every single gun held by a marine roared in sudden, deafening explosions that send the navy men sprawling to the ground with cries of pain and surprise. The big officer gapes and takes a step back as the Doctor steps forward and gives Selphie a little wink.
"Gunpowder. Pretty volatile substance. A little sonic energy and there it goes."

He turned the keys he had stolen in one hand, hunching over Natsuno with his angry expression. Once it was done, Ace set his hand on Natsuno's head and ruffled his hair, eyes downcast in a moment where he did his best to try and not sound livid with anger.]
...I'm gonna pay for this. For lettin' my precious crew get hurt like this. But, Natsuno--just know I'm gonna make 'em pay even more.
12/1
He'd been scared, he'd been hurt and not once had he reacted as strongly as he did the moment those cuffs were off of him. He had no idea how much they'd been suppressing him, but the noise he made as he change was almost feral, despite how quickly he snapped into being a vampire again.
It's not Ace he's mad at, he's more angry with himself, and more importantly he's angry with the people who caught him. He could hate himself for getting caught later. Like Selphie, his wrists are bruised from fighting with the shackles. He's about to say something to Ace, when a marine comes up behind him and swings his big arm around his neck, pointing a gun at Ace.
Natsuno is sick and tired of this shit, he growls dangerously once before sinking his fangs into the arm around him. It's a very sloppy bite, but it should be enough.]
12/1
Ace, Yuuki—
[He glances at Natsuno out of the corner of his eye, noting the way he's currently got his teeth fang-deep in some screaming Marine. Frankly, the bastard deserves it. But what Riku isn't sure of is just how in control of himself Natsuno is at the moment. Considering everything he's just been through, Riku figures it'd be stupid to ask if he's alright, so he reaches out and clamps a hand on Natsuno's shoulder instead to get his attention.]
You're going to suck him dry.
[Whether or not Natsuno cares, or Riku for that matter, is debatable.]

As she was pulled up, she looked up at the gallows, the final place where she was headed. She had faith that someone would come help her, even as she got closer and closer towards it. In her mind she believed and that was all that was left to stop her from breaking down at what happened. Hope that her friends will come save her.]

He stops only when he finally comes across one of the members of his crew, a flash of light, a sudden rush of wind as the Phoenix Saint pauses right besides the girl. One of the soldiers dragging her, the one closest to her, notices him first, just quickly enough to alert the others with a cry.]
Watch o-
[The soldier's warning is cut short, this time Ikki doesn't even bother with mental strikes or fire. No, he has finally found one of his comrades and he has to release some real anger, give a proper warning to the others of what's going to happen in the next minutes. The soldier's head makes a dull noise as it's smashed against the ground, his voice becoming a gurgling sound and soon Ikki feels the bone fracture and crack at the pressure he applies. It happens in just a few seconds but for Ikki it seems like a delicious eternity as the soldier's head breaks open with a sick sound. His hand is dripping with blood when he raises it and looks at the other soldiers, a predatory smile on his lips and burning eyes that could very well be the entrance to Hell. His other hand moves towards her, pushing her lightly between him and a wall.]
You're going to regret having ever laid eyes on her.

She didn't know what to do, she didn't even think for a moment to just simply move. She was paralyzed for a moment in fear of what could happen next, but after a moment she nodded to herself. It was stupid to be scared and she could endure the pain she felt if she really tired. She had to help. This is what she kept thinking to herself as she slowly removed her hands, glancing around for any signs of a weapon she could use as she caught sights of a couple more solders.
Glancing down at the body, she noticed a small knife among the guys belongings. It seemed like a long shot since she knew she couldn't summon her keyblade right now and she need to protect herself. So running over, ignoring the screams of pain in her head she fell to the floor and grabbed the knife and knowing that there was someone who helped in the first place, she knew she could count on them.]
There's a couple more coming this way.

[He casts a look to his back where Kairi is before he focus on the front, where the soldiers, now well alerted, are ready for combat.]
Accursed pirates! You have a death wish for having come here! You are outnumbered, surrender and we will give you a quick death! But you will have to surrender now!
Funny, I was going to say the same to you.
[There's a snarl, and some soldiers shoot their firearms at them. Ikki burns his Cosmo, a sudden rush of flames and wind surrounding both the girl and himself stopping the bullets and letting them drop to the ground. He then releases a flaming punch to the soldier who spoke earlier, sending him flying backwards against the others.]
How wounded are you, Kairi?

A second later he's elbowing some guy behind him in the gut and summoning his Keyblade with his free hand, which he then immediately slashes around him in a wide circle that has the Navy soldiers in the area falling back in alarm.]
KAIRI!
[The shout, more than anything, is to let her know that he's here and coming for her. Without giving the soldiers a chance to regroup, he throws his Keyblade out in front of him, using a Strike Raid attack to clear a path. Then he sprints forward, jumping up to catch the Keyblade as it returns to him and landing on the raised platform where the gallows is. He falls into a fighting stance, glancing at Kairi out of the corner of his eye.]
You looked like you could use some help.
no subject
Riku... [She nodded slightly, trying her best to stand up, withstanding the pain she was in currently.]
I could use a lot of help actually.
no subject
Are you okay??
[...Dumb question. He makes an angry sound, throwing the Keyblade at a long line of Marines and knocking them back. When he speaks again, his voice is strained and frustrated.]
I can't—I haven't figured out the Cure spell yet and I don't have any potions, we need to get you to Sora!
Threadjack! Hope this is okay
It's fine by me

12/1 - Closing Move
His wounds opened and everything felt like white streaks of lightning and pain across his sides, but with effort he managed to lift the navy ship, crying out as he hurled it into the water, sending up tidal waves of foam and spray in all directions. Buckling to his knees, Ace was given a moment of reprieve when the Navy soldiers themselves gawked in disbelief. No one had anticipated a move at all that unlikely.]
12/1
Ikki remained slightly behind, knowing that even with dampened powers he would still be able to fly to the ship once it was at a decent distance. So instead of running to the ship, he decided to dedicate himself to hinder the Navy's attempts to hinder their escape as much as possible. At least until Ace decided to start dragging a ship around. Was he going to use it as a shield or had he just decided to take a huge souvenir? Either way, Ikki used the moment the soldiers took to gawk to attack them and get them off their backs more properly.]
What exactly is your idea, captain?
no subject
It's our ship, now. They insulted our pride and spilled our blood. We're still not done returning the favor.
no subject
Have I ever told you that I like the way you think?
[He stays behind though, still not going to join the other but waiting for whatever soldier stupid enough to try to get to them. The blood of more soldiers is soon tainting the floor even more as he attacks them.]

[That didn't mean he would refrain from being a deadpan asshole about it though.] Oh, I'm sorry. Did you turn into Jozu when I wasn't looking that you're just going to start moving ships over land on your own?! [Okay you know he's pissed when he's using exclamation points.] NEXT TIME ASK FOR HELP MOVING IT DUMB ASS!
[Kicking Ace in the face would be bad, he won't do it, but he's seriously tempted.]

After a little while, Ace leaned over the railing of the Navy ship and called back to Marco casually enough, as if he just remembered.]
Ah!? But, it wasn't set in water, yet! So, it was lighter!
[Not that it mattered. Ace's arms buckled, his legs buckled and Marco could probably see that lifting the ship had taken its toll on the already visibly broken captain.]
So, I'll rely on you for the rest, Marco! [Not because he wanted to just be kind or considerate to his first mate--it was because, as Ace took more and more steps, he felt he was closer to hitting the deck with his face.]
