[so. in the midst of them still getting their ship and crew situation all worked out, jaune wanted to explore a bit more. he had mostly been in town, down at the docks, all over the place in all honesty. however there was one spot he wanted to check out, but he didn't want to go alone.

they were underage back in remnant, but here maybe it wasn't the case. not like jaune had ever had a drink before in his life, but he still wanted to see what it was like nonetheless! he would have asked ruby to go with him, seeing as how they were pretty close friends, but weiss was a little older. besides, he liked spending time with her, he still had a thing for the heiress after all.]

It won't be that bad Weiss!

[jaune gestured at the tavern in front of them, seeing as how they had yet to walk in.]

[he waggles a finger at her.]

[ Gonna take another drink, holding her drink out to point at him. ]

And "Snow Angel" is probably the worst attempt at wooing me I've ever heard!

[jaune stops. he sees the world behind her spinning but he's just staring at her intensely.]

Pudding?

[CAN HE CALL YOU PUDDING?!]

Do I look like a formless mush to you!?

[ She slams her hands down on the table, standing up. Then sitting back down because she's a little dizzy, whoa. ]

[conntego]

[...he's gonna go there.]

Darling?

[whiteas]

[ It takes her a second to get over being dizzy, then she narrows her eyes again. ]

I'm not your darling either! If you call me anything other than Weiss, it'd better be Miss Schnee! Or Captain! I can be captain too. I'd make a great leader, you know. Ruby's pretty good at it, but I still want to lead one day.

[conntego]

Aye aye Miss Captain Schnee!

[he downs more of his mead.]

[whiteas]

[and he just starts laughing, loving these names.]

[ TAKE THAT JAUNE. BECAUSE YOU GET SEASICK, YOU'RE A LANDLUBBER!!! though she doesn't quite have the pirate accent down. ]

[he gulps down more.]

Whoa.... is... is the rooming spinning-?

[whiteas]

[ Weiss laughs a little when he asks that. ]

I don't know, just don't try to stand up.

[ Tooootally trying to play it off here, okay. ]

[he's trained on her face again. even though everything is spinning.]

Compliments aren't going to get you out of shark-infestered waters, Jaune.

[ She doesn't sound mad at least, but she is going to raise her index finger and shake it at him. ]

But if you're done then I won't scold you for it just this once! Just once! [ Remember that first pint that Weiss didn't finish? She's.. totally going to accidentally bump it and spill some on the table. This action is followed by a yelp and her trying to dam it with her hands to keep it off the floor while trying to scoot out of the way-- within the chair. ]

[...just what is this scene he's watching here. WEISS IT'S FINE IF IT GOES ON THE FLOOR?!]

The floor is dirty anyways just... just let it go! It's fiiine Weiss.

[but he'll always remember that this is the time when he said a compliment to her and she didn't rip his head off.]

I got dizzy when I tried to stand up, I don't want to slip on it!

[ She might not be shitfaced but she's still a little wobbly to be sure. ]

I can't even use Dust, alcohol doesn't freeze at the same point as water!

[ Yes, she did just consider using Dust to stop alcohol despite her very limited supply. She may've had more than her tiny body can handle at nearly two pints for her first time having anything other than one or two sips of champagne and wine. ]

[conntego]

You want to freeze it?!

[why is this suddenly such a problem-?!]

Weiss it's time to let it go! [LET THE MEAD GOOOO!]

I told you, I don't want to slip on it!

[ Jaune's likely to try to catch her if that happens and they'll both end up on the floor. ]

[conntego]

Then we'll walk around the puddle!

[jaune reaches out to her, grabbing her hands and lifting her arms up.]
