☠Twelfth Reel: January Log!

Where: Aeolipile Isle
When: January 5th for the arrival of The Bloody Roses and on!
What: On over abundance of crazy.
Warnings: PG13 probably.

Next year, that is in three hundred sixty five days. But yes, you'll have another party.

[Ikki shrugs at the question, though.]

I would say that you are. The only birthday party I've ever gone to before had the birthday person ripping through the presents even before the cake was out. And the cake is out here already so I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to.

[That sounds like a pretty good deal, next year he can have another party with cake and food and presents.]

Okay, then I'm gonna open your present!

[Roxas takes it back in hand and starts tearing into the wrapping paper.]

[He watches the kid open up the present with a certain amusement. It's different than from when Saori would open her presents as a child, she wasn't really interested in the contents of the present, just on if it was worthy of her or something. Roxas, however, probably doesn't even think that, just for being a present chances are he will like it. At least if what he has seen from the boy is true.]

[It's a train! Roxas grins at him.]

[Roxas doesn't know how to play with it, but he'll figure it out.]

You're welcome. If you need help to set it up I can do it, I figure there will be enough space for it in your room.

[See, totally different from Saori who would just scoff and throw the present away. Not that it mattered, though, none of them had really given her those presents because they wanted to. Well, maybe Jabu did.]

Okay! It'll be fun!

[Does it make noise? Because if it does, Lea will probably kill Ikki.]

Did you see? They made ice cream into a cake!

((but she can promptly go away if you guys prefer!!))

*Selphie finally gets up from her chair at the edge of the room and makes her way over - a little slower than her usual enthusiastic pace*

Ooh, Roxas, Ikki got you a present too? You really are a very lucky boy.

*Ignore the jealous tone in her voice. But it's soon gone and she's smiling at them both*

A train! Trains are my favourite!~

[It probably does, loud "choo choo" noises and even leave a steam trail as the train goes. Because that's what steampunk toy trains do, of course.]

I take that's your first time seeing an ice cream cake. Did you think that ice cream only came in only shape?

[He eyes Selphie for a moment as she approaches and speaks. No, he's not going to ignore that tone. Except for now he does because he's not assholish enough to ruin Roxas' first birthday. At least not over such a thing.

He also takes note of the train comment on her part. He didn't know that, after all.]

I will help him set it up in his room later. Or whenever he wants.

[Lea is just going to love you Ikki.]

Yeah, I only ever had it on stick before!

[The tone is a little weird and it's confusing to him. He scratches his head at her. The words sounded nice, but the tone wasn't right.]

I...I guess so. Ikki's really nice to me, sometimes. I didn't like it when he pushed me overboard though.

[He brightens again and smiles at Ikki.] Yeah! I'd like that!

*Aww, sorry Roxas for the confusion. Selphie just wants a present too. But she allows herself to be distracted by the train, smiling as she looks it over*

This is a seriously awesome train! I'll need to come by once Ikki's set it up for you!

*Selphie stands back and smiles brightly between the two of them, moving to stand beside Ikki - he's being super adorable, after all. Until - *

What? You pushed him? Off the boat?

*Oh dear, she's really rather angry at that, glaring at Ikki for being so cruel*

How come you forget other things yet remember that perfectly well?

[If he really cared he would even sound offended or something. Instead, he just sounds amused, the jerk. He shrugs at Selphie's tone as if it wasn't a big deal.]

It was once anyway and to teach him a lesson. The brat doesn't seem to know what means to be careful just because he has never fallen doing those things.

[He looks at Roxas then.]

Plus, you realized you could swim, better then than in the middle of an enemy attack.

[If anything, Ikki has occupied a good amount of Roxas' brain space these days and he remembers more about him than most people. He just smiles and shrugs at the question.]

My memory's weird I guess. That's true, I didn't know I could swim. I should ask Sora what else he knows how to do.

*Yeah, other things, like her name... Though he seems to have remembered it now. She continues to give Ikki a long, cold stare, and lifts a hand to slap lightly at his arm when he uses the word 'brat'. Roxas is a cutie, not a brat*

Well, lucky for you that he could, Ikki. Otherwise you'd be in big trouble.

*She pauses, sounding more angry than the situation probably warrants. Closing her eyes for a moment, she seems to be taking a deep breath, and she rubs at the side of her head*

Hmm...Memories are strange things, Roxas. There's still so much I don't remember. But at least Sora can help you.

[He doesn't even flinch at the slap, and just gives her a bored look. He doesn't need or want to be lectured on things, never dealt well with that.]

How so? I would have jumped after him to get him as soon as I saw he wasn't swimming. It's not as if I threw him from his clock tower.

[That would have been messy for sure. He looks at Roxas, arching an eyebrow.]

Why ask him? Wouldn't it be more fun to discover it by yourself?

[Roxas looks between them for a moment and then he shrugs to himself.]

I don't know, what if I never discover it? Or I never remember? I do remember that I wanted to know why I know how to use the keyblade so well. I never learned it, I just kind of woke up with it.

*That look from Ikki is too much, and she swallows as she closes her eyes again, pressing her fingers into her eyelids. She's listening, maybe. When she opens her eyes again she looks at Ikki with an expression full of worry, but when she turns to Roxas she is smiling again*

I think... You'll both have to excuse me. I've got... a bit of a headache. I think maybe it's best that I go sit down somewhere. I need - water.

What if he tells you about things you are never going to use anyway? Or don't like? I get the whole thing of you being part of him and all that, but right now you're Roxas, not Sora or half-Sora. You should concentrate in being you, and whatever thing that he knew and thus you know by instinct, it's just a coincidence.

[Ikki just can't get behind the idea of needing to ask someone about everything about himself. He looks at Selphie worriedly and reaches to place a hand on her forehead to check her temperature.]

Are you sick?

Uhhh, I don't know. I guess I could just figure it out.

[He's not sure what kind of surprises there will be.]

Are you okay Selphie?

*Selphie takes a small breath and looks at Ikki with large, worried eyes. But again, when she glances back at Roxas she is smiling a little and that look is gone*

Hmm...I just feel kinda dizzy. My head feels all fuzzy and stuff. But it'll be okay. I should just maybe...sit down or something.

[She doesn't seem to have a fever but that doesn't mean she can't be feeling unwell. Ikki thinks about it for a moment before he looks at Roxas.]

I'll take her to take a nap, you keep opening the other presents and enjoy the party.

[He looks back at Selphie and doesn't seem to have any intention of accepting a "no" as an answer.]

Let's go.

Okay, I will.

[Roxas promises. He's a little worried about Selphie, but he's easily distracted with the other presents.]

*Selphie looks rather alarmed at his suggestion and shakes her head furiously*

Oh, no, Ikki please don't! You guys were having so much fun until I came along and ruined everything! I can just go lie down myself, really, it's fine.

*Her head hangs wirh guilt, feeling horrible for doing this to them, bit mostly for Roxas. But Ikki won't let her refuse, and an argument at the party would be even worse. So she just nods her consent*

Okay. Well, happy birthday, Roxas. Enjoy your icecream cake!
