[Aya will only keep pushing him back until a certain point, where he'll give on final push and try to disarm Roxas by hitting one of his wrists with the blunt side of his blade.]

[Roxas stumbles a little, and the blade makes contact. He hisses a bit, dropping Oblivion. No matter though, he'll just swing Oathkeeper at his blade instead.]

[Now they are evenly matched, Aya smirks and goes in for a diagonal slash attack going upwards.]

[He met his blade with as much might as he could, but he's not quite as strong with his left hand as he is with his right. If he's using one keyblade, it's usually in his right, but that strike's probably going to bruise, and it hurts left just to keep things the way they are.

After this block, he'll use one of his tricks, it's quick footwork and he's intending to be at Aya's back, ready to swing his blade again.]

[Having Roxas at his back isn't what he expects, so he turns the opposite direction of where Roxas moves, using the momentum of the turn to block the next attack. It comes close to his body, though, but he blocks it before it could nick him.]

[Aya kicks out a foot in order to trip up Roxas. No, he doesn't really fight fairly.]

[Roxas doesn't fall, but he stumbles, scrambling to catch his footing. He frowns at Aya, holding Oathkeeper in front of him. He's paused to catch his breath a bit.]

You're not really angry, are you? [Aya's stance is casual for now, keeping his blade in front of him.]

[heartismyown]

[He has to think about it.]

I don't think I am.

[formerabyssinian]

Good. We can't expect our enemies to fight fairly.

[heartismyown]

I know that.

[Does he ever. Riku. :|]

[formerabyssinian]

[Aya nods once.] You need to work on your defense, though.

[heartismyown]

[Roxas blinks.]

Why do I need to do that? Usually I just go in and hit the heartless with my keyblades.

[formerabyssinian]

Heartless? What's that?

[heartismyown]

They're monsters, sort of. They steal hearts from people and then I was stealing hearts from them. They do magic sometimes, and Dusks are harder.

[formerabyssinian]

It sounds like they aren't that smart. [If he's used to just offensive moves, then there's no other explanation.] I'm not a heartless, and most other enemies won't be, either. Offensive skills will only take you so far.

They're not really. I don't think they think...or do they?

[After all he thinks, and he doesn't have a heart. Or shouldn't.]

I don't know. I've beaten people before but I haven't fought too many. Axel, a few times and Riku...but fighting people wasn't my job.

I think you have a new job, now. [They'll probably fight more people than monsters, here.]

I guess so. I never really thought about it. Thatch doesn't give me any missions.

[formerabyssinian]

What sort of missions did you expect to be given? [Aya lowers his stance, because, really, they were talking at the moment. He's sure not much will happen, and even if it did, he could handle it.]

[Roxas might have been on the side of the bad guys, but that doesn't mean he's going to attack out of the blue. It would be really unfair.]

Well I don't know what people do for boat missions. Every day when I was in the Organization Saix would come up and tell me what to do. I'd go investigate things and kill heartless and that's it, I guess. There's things I'm not remembering.

We've kind of done those sorts of things already, but no one really told us to do so. [No one has told him to investigate an island or anything like that, but he does so.] Going out and doing daily things is a way of investigating. Not sure about the heartless part, but you'll protect yourself and the crew on instinct.

[He scratches his head.]

I guess that's true. It's just a little weird. Like being on vacation all the time.

[Even with chores, it's a bigger environment shift then he would have expected from the castle.]

It's not boring though, there's lots of people to talk to!

[Aya chuckles softly. This really did resemble a vacation.]

I have to agree with you there. Compared to back home, this is pretty relaxed.

It's really fun. I like it, and Lea's here, and that's really good.
