[Kyouya can't help but make a small sound. Something between a scoff and a chuckle. Probably more holding the latter back.]

Last time I bought medical supplies, the man in charge of the shop spent nearly fifteen minutes trying to convince me of the medical boon that are leaches.

[Which he will never use and will never acknowledge. Simply unfounded medical practices of the past.]

Backwater Brig has some more modern conveniences, but the proprietor knows she can charge what she wants for them and does.

There are. Our food stocks are pretty good, we won't need to restock much while we're here, thankfully.

I...I'll remember. [She drops her gaze to the scalpel, suppressing a shudder.] I won't let anyone be hurt if I can help it.

[The idea of killing is... unsettling at the very least. And yet, to protect this strange little group of theirs? He'd do it without hesitation and without remorse.]

I hope not. [Reaching out, she squeezes his forearm.] Promise me you'll be careful?

[He stops, looking down at her for a moment before he gently bows his head, setting the scalpel back down on the wood.]

You're important to a lot of people. What would Tamaki do without you? [She has a feeling she isn't high in his books - mainly because she doesn't think highly of herself - but she knows Kyouya cares about Tamaki. She doesn't want to see their "King" dealing with the loss of Kyouya. At all. It breaks her heart to think about it.]

[For several moments, Kyouya is silent. Thinking, perhaps, about the question.]

We have to part ways eventually, and... I think he'll be alright. He's not the same Tamaki I met years ago.
