What: Crew shenanigans, both light-hearted and serious, while the rest of the ships prepare for and do battle with the witch.

The Antoinette is a strange ship to be on. The (wise) decision was made not to go into battle, so it has been offered as a safe haven for those unable or unwilling to join the fight against the witch.

The air of light-heartedness found might, at times, feel forced, and it is a bit. The residents have only their morale to keep them going, so that's what they rely upon.


(Please feel free to either reply to the subject headers provided or make your own! This is just a general mingle log for anyone on the Antoinette. If your character is a non-combatant who wouldn't want to go into the fight or someone injured and unable to join the fight, Kyouya has publicly offered passage, so feel free to handwave being there.

I've never heard you say that except when you were fighting with him. [Oh please tell her you're not fighting. That's dangerous.] It's tough to watch that and there are plenty of problems already…

[She will beg. No seriously. She will.]

I like it when you're happy. [And loud.] The ship could use your energy.

We're not fighting! [He says it suspiciously quickly, immediately on the defensive. It's not been long for him since their actual fight, and his emotions are still a bit bruised from it.] We're not. [Said firmly, more to reassure himself than Haruhi.] He's an idiot, that's all. He knows that now.

[Hearing that Haruhi likes it when he's happy really doesn't help his crush at all.] It's good when you're happy, too. [Was that too forward?! Back it up!] And everyone else! [Smooth. He kind of hates himself for being so lame right now.]

[haruhi_fujioka]

...that's good? [There's a question at the end of that statement because he does seem anxious. She shifts awkwardly and tucks her hair behind her ear.] I think everyone can be silly sometimes. It's a way to cope, maybe?

[She stares at him, color high on her cheeks. Hearing him say something like that is nice.]

Thank you. [Her voice is soft.] I'm glad you're here. And Kaoru too.

There's silly, and then there's just plain stupid. It doesn't matter now anyway; he's not going to do it again. [That's the end of it for him, because he's sure that he got through to Kaoru, and made him understand that they don't have to separate themselves entirely to be happy.

And--oh god, don't blush, Haruhi. That's too sweet, and her words bring the fluttering in his stomach back, and she never forgets to think of Kaoru, too. That means the most to him. It's actually the mention of his name that changes Hikaru's reaction from the initial deer-in-headlights from hearing Haruhi is glad he's here, to a kind, genuine smile.]

Thanks, Haruhi. [She probably won't know what for, but obliviousness has never stopped him from saying whatever he wants.]

[She watches him, trying to parse out the pieces of a story she is missing. Yet his smile is genuine and there doesn't seem to be any love lost between him and Kaoru. Therefore she won't pry.]

As long as you're happy, I won't ask. [Which leads her to...] When did you change your hair? It looks nice.

[But it's definitely easier to tell the twins apart. Not that she had trouble with that in the first place.]

Did you really think I wouldn't want you around?

[Oh, his hair? He blinks in surprise, and reaches up to tug at a lock of it. That's right... none of them have commented on his hair since they've seen it. That's really rude, now that he thinks of it and makes a note to grief at least Tamaki later.]

Just recently. It suits me, right? [The genuine smile turns into a more charming one, with a touch of his usual mischievous manner.] Now nobody has any excuse for getting us mixed up.

[He laughs, and reaches out to ruffle Haruhi's hair.] Of course not! Who wouldn't want us around? It'd get so boring! [He won't tell her, but the gratefulness is for always remembering to consider Kaoru along with him. It makes him feel okay about spending time with her; because she understands them.]
