When: Backdated to February 12th, late afternoon.
What: Hikaru manages to bring home a dragon instead of any of the things he set out to buy.

Status: Open to anyone in the vicinity of the Antoinette.


It took the sacrifice of bread, cheese, and a really good bag; an entire barrel of fish; a lot of bucket removals; finding the patience to deal with inquisitive sniffing, and a lot of time to get here but finally, finally Hikaru and Toothless have arrived at the bottom of the gangway leading up to the Antoinette. It's here that Hikaru pauses, considering. He's fairly confident that the dragon can get up it without breaking it - those things were made to take much heavier loads, he's sure - but... should he really just introduce it to everyone all at once? That seems like a pretty bad idea when he thinks about it, especially if the only thing he knows about handling animals is that people should stay calm around them.

With a glance at the dragon, he decides to try and call down his crew one by one to introduce them. Knowing them, it would probably fail - but he wants to at least show Kaoru first! And at least if they do all descend at once after he tries to get them one-by-one, it's their own fault and he can't be blamed if the dragon reacts badly. Right?

He doesn't know who's on deck right now, though theoretically they all should be.

"Oi, Kaoru!" He yells out, hoping to be heard over the noise in the docks. He doesn't know who's going to answer his call first, but he can hope for his twin! He's not sure he trusts the dragon to stay put while he goes onboard to fetch anyone, so aside from using his journal, he doesn't really have any good ways of getting anyone's attention. Maybe he can convince the dragon to set something on fire, if nobody hears him.

     The ship is a lot larger than anything he's ever seen around Berk. Toothless stares at it once they come close enough to the one in particular.

     Okay. So now what? He looks almost inquisitively in Hikaru's direction, but it seems like the boy's got something in mind already as he shouts at the ship. Since it seems like the dragon is expected to wait with him in the meantime, he does so, although he quickly loses interest in staring up, and looks around at more interesting things, like seagulls or the wary fisherman a few docks down.

     Occasionally his tail swishes back and forth, red and black with the odd lines of leather that go up alongside of his back to the saddle, metal pieces jingling with the subtle movements.

Today was a very busy day for the host club king. There were simply too many princesses who wanted his attention. He didn't mind that. But it was just too busy, unlike in their club were there were there was a limited number of princesses available to actually seek his attention.

Then there was someone calling from the docks. He glanced at his whole crew and saw that Kaoru was there. It meant that it was Hikaru. He made his excuses and he looked at Kyouya for a brief moment. A look that said, 'I'm checking it out Mommy'. Not a moment later, Tamaki was peering out towards the deck and screaming elegantly. "WHAT IS IT HI.....?"

His words however came to a sudden halt when he saw what was beside Hikaru. Was that a giant dog....with WINGS???

Wow they're all so good at identifying dragons. Big horse, giant lizard, giant dog with wings...

That's not Kaoru. That's not Kaoru at all. Hikaru scowls up at Tamaki, and points him out to Toothless.

"He's a big blond idiot who doesn't know his own name. Don't ever listen to a thing he says, okay?"

Though admittedly, he's pleased with the cut-off screaming that was not at all elegant in his view. He holds a finger up to his lips for Tamaki, trying to signal to keep quiet about the dragon. He then gestures for Tamaki to come down, waving his hand at him. Just try not to shout at it, okay Tono?

In preparation, he shuffles a little closer to Toothless and aims to put his hand on the dragon again. Probably better to be close to try calming it down if Tamaki sets it off with noise? He's not sure, but he thinks that's the right thing to do.

Tamaki's eyes started twitching upon hearing Hikaru's words. However when he heard him gesture to go down, Tamaki nods. He glances one last time at Kyouya before he readily jumps from the railing of the ship to a few feet beside Hikaru and the dragon. He spun in the air similarly to when he jumped from the top of the staircase to the bottom of the staircase back in Ouran's grand ball room.

When he was sure that no Princess followed his movements, he immediately ran to Hikaru's side and glance at the giant dog. "Where did you get him?", he asked with a gentle whisper.

     What a loud person. At least with all the Vikings in Berk, loud is something Toothless is used to, although their version of loud goes along with their generally thick girth, and this is...well. What is it?

     Toothless gets up, even as Hikaru's hand is placed on him. Don't worry, he's not all worked up, but the dragon is curious at this new person. So he's going to waddle up to Tamaki to sniff at him.

Tamaki inched closer to Hikaru and the giant dog with wings and was amazed that the dog started sniffing him. He gave him the same reaction he'd used to give Antoinette, which was to laugh light-heartedly and pet him gently if he'd allow it.

For once, Hikaru decides to be honest. "It almost ran me over," he replies a bit too cheerfully. He gestures down to his ruined pants, still covered in alleyway muck on the back of his legs.

He's glad to see that the dragon seems to be alright with Tamaki, and he can't help but smile in excitement. If it can get along with their Lord Captain, then that means it should be able to get along with pretty much everyone! And that means he's one step closer to not having to argue with anyone to keep it.

     Pettings are something that Toothless enjoys, and since he picks up no threatening vibes from Tamaki, the dragon doesn't mind as the blond does just that.

     ...and then he'd nudge him with his head, which may or may not be like being shoved by someone. He's just playing, really..!

Tamaki's hands remained on Toothless' head whilst he took a moment to glance at Hikaru with his eyes wide and an amused laughter escaped him. "He's huge. I bet you would have been crushed", he said lightly. Though he really was happy his friend was alright, a part of him was still concerned if Hikaru's small frame was crushed by the giant dog.

As strong as Toothless' actions were Tamaki did not mind them. They were familiar. It reminded him of the strength of Antoinette - the way she'd pounce at him and tackle him to the ground with such great strength. So instead of getting frightened, Tamaki reached around the dragon's head and cuddled him. "Hikaru, he's so playful!!!"

Yes! It seems like Tamaki's gotten fond of Toothless, and since he's the Captain, that means less opposition! Hikaru steps away from the two playing to get to a relatively safe distance; he doesn't feel like being knocked into the water just yet, thanks.

While he's pleased at the situation, he also isn't content to settle at this; he wants to make sure Tamaki is well and truly attached to Toothless before anyone can think of saying 'no' to them keeping him.

"He is! I think it's because he's lost someone," he says as he gestures to the saddle on the dragon's back. His voice becomes quieter, a little bit of sadness injected into it. "Probably a really close friend... He must really miss them."

Hopefully that should be enough to make the Captain pity the dragon enough to keep it, but Hikaru is more than willing to ramp it up if he has to.

     This is probably the first time that someone's ever tried to cuddle the dragon. Vikings aren't very cuddly people, after all. So for a moment, Toothless is very confused, but Tamaki's gesture is similar enough to a hug, just...more clingy?

     He moves his head around to rest on top of Tamaki's. There. Perfect. Chin-rest.

He enjoys the chin rest and runs his hands on the animal's neck to soothe him a little. He's never had a dog this big before and loves the fact that there was so much surface area to cuddle at night.

However when Hikaru points on the saddle and spoke about Toothless losing a friend, there was a short frown on Tamaki's face which was now hiding on his new friend's body. "Poor thing.. you must have been very lonely", he said embracing Toothless closely.

A few moments later, he looks back at Hikaru with wonder in his eyes. "What kind of person would ride a dog like him anyway?" Tamaki won't hesitate to try though because his new found friend's wings were enormous.

Hikaru's enjoying his success, bright-eyed and smiling, right up until Tamaki calls the dragon a dog. The smile drops and expression on his face rapidly changes to convey his thoughts of 'is this guy actually serious?' He forgot how stupid Tamaki could be.

"Tono... that's not a dog. It's a dragon." He deadpans helpfully, fingers twitching. How--nothing about it looks like a dog at all!

     For a complete stranger, this blond human is very forward. Toothless gurbles at Tamaki in response to the sad tone he spoke with. It doesn't match Hikaru's expression at all, however.

     Looking around the blond that's latched onto him, the dragon glances back at Hikaru, giving a helpful growl in agreement. Dragon, yes. That is he.

"Woah Hika-chan!" Because of course Honey would go to look and see what Hikaru was yelling for his brother about. Honey peers over the side of the ship and the sight...he wasn't expecting, and is thusly amazed.

"Is it yours?"

...Go figure he'd just accept a dragon being real.

Hikaru's initial reaction to Honey is to pout, because that's not Kaoru. He gets over it quickly enough though and waves, his excitement over bringing home a dragon trumping his annoyance.

"Yep! I found him," he calls up proudly. He points Honey out helpfully, then, to Toothless; "That's Honey-senpai. If you ever wake him up, I'm not going to be responsible for what he does to you."

He then looks at the saddle on the dragon, then back to Honey, then back to the saddle. He's not stupid brave enough to try riding it, but maybe Honey would.

     The dragon peers up at the little blond head that pops over the railing. He looks at Hikaru as the boy seems to be trying to convey something important, not that it's going to make much of a difference.
