[Log || 004] Empieza and Aeolipile

What: Picking up new crew members and recovering from the Navy battle! Plus shenanigans.
Warnings: DRAGON!!! But no, nothing really. Probably.

This is our April log of awesomeness! Date your threads accordingly and probably include a location. This is the plan for now:

4/1-4/10: Hanging around IE, grabbing Cynthia, STUFF.
4/11-4/15: Sailing to Aeolipile!
4/16-4/28: Aeolipile craziness.

Oh, well then. If you're used to adventure, you'll fit right in. Sailing is probably a lot less exciting than mountain climbing, up until we get attacked or somethin'.

Well that's not at all comforting. But then I've dealt with evil organizations and wild pokemon, I'm sure the navy wouldn't be much of a challenge...maybe.

But I'm sure you'll be there to protect me.

They were trying to create a new world by summoning a legendary creature that had the power to destroy everything. As champion, it was my job to stop it.

Man, I know how that goes. [or he will when he gets sent back to Orochi's world and there's a Hydra. Oops]

Nope, I failed. I'm actually a ghost wandering different worlds in search of revenge. But at least I got to meet you. You seem nice.

Okay okay, so we managed to save everyone. Though there was one casualty. Something I still regret to this day.

The fight happened in another dimension. To appease the creature, it had to be caught. But one man...he was the leader of that organizations, he was left behind.

I'm a champion! My job is to protect everyone. So why couldn't I bring him back? He was evil yes, but no one deserved that kind of fate.

There's only so much any one person can do. Things happen. Besides, how do you know he didn't survive?

That's the worst part. I don't know if he's alive or not. He's stuck in a world between worlds.

Eh, it's just a name. It means we ain't doin' what the law wants us to do. 'Course, we don't know what they want, but if taking to the sea and looking for whatever will get us all home makes us pirates, then that's what we are.

I can't even fight. I can't hurt people, I can't kill people and I sure as hell can't carry a weapon. Gaius told me about that navy attack you guys had and it made me realize that I've never fought a day in my life. Usually that was my pokemon's job.

...look, I ain't gonna lie. The sea is rough. Yeah, the Navy attack was hard. I let them capture me in order to get the crew away safely, and then they had to come and break me out. [gruffly, and seriously now] They're not gonna go any easier on us from here on out, probably the opposite. So if combat ain't your thing, you gotta find a way to stay safe.

[he won't say it to her face, but he doesn't want liabilities in the crew. But Cynthia is part of their crew now, so she gets protection the same as everyone else, combat-ready or not]

[She doesn't even wait for him to follow her after she says that. Cynthia just heads over to the door of the women's cabin (aka her personal bedroom) and opens it gently. Inside were her pokemon, in different corners of the room, all out of their pokeballs and sleeping on makeshift beds.]

They are the reason why I survived in that cave for so long. So I need to be assured that no matter what happens, they'll stay safe.
