Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

[Kodachi looked out into the sea of faces and dresses, smiling as she stood atop the staircase leading to the ballroom. Of course, a lady such as herself deserved a grand entrance, and she could almost imagine the spotlight on her as she took her first step down the carpeted staircase.]

"Dressed like that? I'm surprised you don't have a longer line of sad Navy men hanging around." He said and yes, there was a bit of a grin from under his mask. Women and scraps of clothing? Not going to complain. "That good company walks off and leaves behind a bit of gold too, huh?"

"Might is the operative word. I have no idea WHAT will happen, but I know it'll be something bad. Something could probably bite us all in the ass. I suggest you and your crew have a quick exit strategy in place."

Some are fetching me something to drink, others have been sat here so long they needed to go to the bathroom, and some, I think, are double checking that there are indeed priceless jewels hidden on the ship." Faye looked at the little coin pouch in front of her and shrugged her bare shoulders, "I won this fair and square. You'd think these men had never seen a clever woman in all their lives." She slowly stood from her seat, putting her purse into a hidden pocket inside a white fur shawl, "Why? Don't you like my outfit this evening?"

Faye grinned and shook her head slowly, "For starters you might want to keep your voice down. We're all here to have a pleasant evening, remember? And you needn't worry about my crew, or me."

He snorted softly, glancing off at the crowd as she talked about them doing things for her. So this is the type of woman she was. Trouble. Good to know. "Most of these boys are wet behind the ear and dick. The only clever woman they've seen are commanding officers willing to break their hands." He took a sip of his drink and... ended up looking back down to her and that damn dress. "Oh no, it's a damn good view. Well chosen."

[He just looks down at the hand for a few tense moments, before putting his own out.]

Yeah, good ear I guess. You're that Namur guy. You look a lot more like a shark than I do a wolf.

Oh, same ol', same ol'. Keepin' tabs on a couple a Navy boys other side a the cliffs there. Bunch a boats is gonna try trappin' us when we try t' leave. Sheheheh! Dumbasses.

[Bears. Don't. Dance.]

[Well, Bepo does, and he doesn't do a bad job of it, but he's mostly not going to dance. His tail did wiggle back and forth a bit in his jump suit though. And wandering around this ship was interesting. He was a bit worried that he should stay back with Zoro to keep an eye on his dumb face, but some others managed to be convincing when bringing him along.]

[For whoever is out there break dancing now? he's clapping his paws together for you, because that was fun.]

Faye smiled and placed a hand lightly on his shoulder, "That's very sweet of you. But I can hold my own, and so can most of us here, I imagine."

[Look, swimming isn't just for you Fishfolk. Bears liked swimming as well, and Bepo was getting tired of the music. So, jump suit and all, Bepo has managed to jump in and is hanging around the boat for the most part. Swimming out a ways diving down and enjoying the cool of the waters.]

[He... promises he'll dry off before coming around the dance floor again. He wont want to upset people with his wet fur. Still... it felt good to take a break.]

"Everybody thinks that, powers or not. Then things go to Hell and there's no back-up plans," he huffed, "Why is everyone so bull-headed about dealin' with the Navy? It'd be better work on ways we can avoid 'em, entirely."

"Life must be hard for you, having to take on the burden of good looks and pockets full of pearls." A flat tease at her comment. So kind. Very lady. But the comment about dressing for effect, and then the touch to his chest made him chuckle. He reached up to place his hand on hers, before 'kindly' saying. "Don't get used to it. As soon as this bash is over it's back to jeans for me."

Selphie turned to Logan and grinned brightly when she saw his outfit, almost giggling in delight when he extended his hand. Happily, she put her hand in Logan's, "I think you do!" As they moved out onto the dancefloor among the other couples, Selphie gave him an approving nod, "You sure scrub up well, Logan!"
