Masquerade Ball - Totally not an ambush

Marco is disguised as a naval officer in white, sporting a matching white fedora and One Piece marine style sunglasses.

Uh... Yeah, but...

[Wow, no freaking out because aaaack a monster just came out of the sea? Namur squares his shoulders and starts circling around, just out of reach if she happens to have a sword or something.]

Look sweetheart, this ain't a good place t' be dippin' yer toes in the water, a'ight? Expectin' some crazy shit t' come washin' up with the tide an' it'd be a shame if y' stepped in it.

Eh? Oh, I didn't see them. I guess they're okay, sure. It's not something I spend a lot of time thinkin' about, Sharky. Even if I swung toward men, my point stands.

Marco bows and gives her a wink behind his sunglasses. "May I have this dance, lovely lady?"

She should be able to recognize him by his voice, but if not, he'll play it up and tease her about it the whole time even though he promised her a dance an introduction to Robin.

[She watches him circle when he is in her range of eyesight, without moving her body or turning her head]

Perhaps I enjoy the mystery. Yet [she taps her fingers to her cheek] I believe I've already seen the, how did you put it, 'crazy shit' wash out of the water and I dare say I find myself rather intrigued by him.

[Namur points and opens his mouth to retort but it dies in his mouth. He really piled that up perfectly then stepped in the dead center.]

Oh ho. See what y' did there.

[One thing he's pretty sure, this isn't that Codi 'maid. Voice is wrong and this one jabs with a hell of a lot more precision.]

[He does a basic shuffle glide, then throws an arm over Bepo's shoulders and does it one step at a time.]

[Logan likes living on the edge--or, well, wandering at the edge of the ball. He'd seen the woman before, once in here and here she was again. He wasn't catching a scent off her yet, so he couldn't tell if she was something of interest yet or not. So he's coming closer, casual like.]

[There are like four figures he's keep an eye on, there were five, but one of them was just and idiot. This one might replace that one. From behind a mask, he smiled, giving her a bow of his head.]

Standing alone when there's so much to do? [shh, that line worked like a hour ago on someone else. ]

[She cants her head to the side, her hands in front of her, and smiles lightly]

Perhaps, kind sir. Are you offering me entertainment?

[It's Namur's turn to cant his head to the side, and pull it back a little while he's at it.

Because what. the. hell. even?]

Shit, the hell'd I do? Suddenly Mr. Totally Damn Popular.

[He runs a hand over his hair and checks the air towards the ship. Nothing tastes amiss yet, so that's a good sign. And he has to admit, he's curious, too. The woman's haki presence is surprisingly strong. Whoever she is, she isn't someone to spurn lightly. Namur blinks, then smirks, rising from his half crouch and advancing.]

Never been one t' leave a lady hangin'. Got a beat, sweetheart?

For all that Marco might insist he's not as good as his brothers, he really won't be leaving the dance floor much. Firstly because he doesn't want to be anywhere near the D brothers when it comes to food, secondly because he has no intentions to drink any alcohol for once, and thirdly because he might be trying to show off just a little for someone special.

There's a couple of sambas which he learned from Samba Island itself, if you think you can keep up with the high energy dances.

Of course he can't resist a tango or two.

But for the most part, he enjoys the hell out of those waltzes. And while he wasn't expecting it, there might a bit of swing dancing there too.

If you learned the chicken dance though you just got rick rolled, the latter of which might actually be used.

[she grasps the skirt of her gown, lifting it slightly as if to prepare for dancing and dips into a polite curtsy]

Can you hear the music from here?

[she can, a faint waltz is swirling down from the main hall]

[Marco doesn't say a thing as he quietly hands Ikki a rum and cola. Drink it dude, you look as stiff as most of the marines, gosh.]

[Marco will be barely stopping for a breather. Only just long enough to check with his informants and slowly corral and isolate certain navy men on his hit list.]

[At the splash of red though, he'll be ducking behind a group of other officers.]

[Namur just grunts because he doesn't get how any self respecting, hot blooded male wouldn't, but he knows there's plenty out there.]

[He's almost through the entire pile and still no Queen though.]

[Sneaks up on Thatch and plays a game of GUESS WHO by covering his eyes and testing his reflexes.]

[For another person perhaps, but with Marco, he's testing Thatch's haki too.]

[It's a good thing he's used to fire users, even back home. Still, she's impressive. It's like she really gets into it, what with the crackles down her arms and the eyes and everything. When she started the breaking down of the gate and doing some property damage, Logan slid down the roof a bit farther, boot on the edge, crouched down and leaning out to look better. Look over the edge. Anyone planning on storming the Ball to grab all the pirates was going to be in for a shock.]

Not bad for a first movement. [he looked down on them, running about. He knows some people at this ball are innocents. Several actually, but they should be alright enough if they're smart, and don't fight back.]

I almost expected you to build a damn dragon out of fire or some shit. [wouldn't be surprised. His hand twitched, itching to get down there, but damn, this view. And... he wanted to make sure she didn't over do it...]

[The only time Marco really gets off the dance floor is to check with his informants and see how the corralling job goes. Still, this means 1) lighting up a cigarette as if he's taking a break for that reason 2) checking on the wait staff, both real and implants 3) checking in with certain pickpockets and others.]

[He seems to be in a good mood at least.]

[jumps about a mile and already has his hand on the hilt of his cutlass before he realizes who it is. Damn.]

[Marco's already doing a different ambush of his own, but when Ace unleashes his haki, he gives an impressed grin off in the far far corner where he's abducting a few officers.]

Now let's see if you can keep controlling it, eh?

[Mostly muttered to himself, but if Ace's perception haki is up to snuff, he'll catch it. Along with Marco's proud overtones despite how he tries to hide it.]
