[he tips his head to one side to nonchalantly let the glass fly past and smash against the wall behind him. Rude.]

I think I've got it. But I wouldn't deny you if you want to have some fun.

[He doesn't know where she stands in terms of fighting, yet. At least he knows she can take care of herself, and won't be collateral damage.

The way the tavern erupts into action is just fine by him. He doesn't even wait for them to start shooting, but darts into the fray, swords flying. Bodies just sort of get flung out of his path, his moves are too fast for most eyes to even follow. He might still be injured, but as far as he's concerned he's at full strength and nothing is going to get in his way.]

Ah, well. I did get some island-appropriate weapons I wanted to try, but I'm afraid you're not going to leave me anypony.

[Celestia resigns herself to cleanup duty -- as bodies go flying like bowling pins, she catches them with her magic, then lays them all in a line down the bar. A quick patch-up spell for each one ought to keep them from perishing of blood loss.]

[Zoro might have a harder time when a grizzed drifter bursts through the doors with a pair of sawed-off shotguns blazing. Slightly harder to deflect a load of shot, isn't it?]

[Damn, he hates shotguns. At least Zoro has full use of his haki back, and can easily avoid getting hit by the spray, but the slender blade of a katana isn't enough surface area for some high-quality blocking. He springs up onto a table and then kicks off it in order to flip the table completely onto its side so it will block the shots from getting anywhere near Celestia. A couple more tables for a barricade, and then he has the freedom to leap over them and go one-on-one with the drifter. He's a big guy, and knows how to use those shotguns to block - or would, if Zoro's blades didn't cut right through the barrels. The fool drops his useless guns and pulls a knife instead, to which Zoro just snorts before knocking it away and using a rush of cutting air to throw the interloper right back through the swinging doors into the street.

He straightens up and eyes the neat line of victims gaping at him from the bar.]

Tell me again how swords are weak?

I'm not certain that was all sword-work you used, Zoro. I sensed a certain level of power emanating from you during that, something I have noted before in my time on the ship.

[Celestia has little understanding of haki in as many words, though she had pieced together something of its existence through exposure. In the meantime, she continues to patch up the injured, looking extraordinarily out of character given her hat and duster.]

I really must engage you and some of the others in training one of these days. I ought to learn to fight properly while I am here.

[No one else seems interested in challenging the notion that swords are sissy weapons, at least for the moment, so Zoro slides them back into their sayas and turns to Celestia. He didn't hurt anyone too badly but really, their fault for leaping onto his blades.]

You sensed that? Huh. Yeah, there's something, but the swords are still the tools. My arms swung them, my legs moved me across the hall. Power or not, they're my partners in a fight.

[he strides back over to the bar to pick up his glass from where he left it, and downs what's still in it in one gulp]

If you want to, sure. Lesson one is going to be getting out of this town, since I don't think this lot [he thumbs at the lineup on the bar] are the only ones eager to collect on an arrest.

Not staying to conclusively demonstrate to everypony that swords are superior? Just when I thought I was beginning to understand you, Zoro.

[Celestia, meanwhile, casually picks every dropped or discarded weapon up off the floor with her telekinesis. She doesn't view this as theft, but rather, punishment -- they have been naughty and they are getting their toys taken away.]

[yes, good work, Celestia. Zoro shrugs a bit]

We'll do that on our way out. I don't expect to just walk out of here with no one else trying to challenge us. But these guys are weak.

[he's not bloodthirsty enough to want to just slaughter them on principle. Anyone who attacks, though, is going to learn the same lesson. He pushes open the door, not even bothering to draw a sword until he can see those challenges coming at him]

[Celestia nods, then casually lines up the guns behind her as she follows him out... into the empty streets, though enemies crouch behind water troughs and wagons, and some might be on the roof. One calls for Zoro to surrender -- they get the same bounty alive as dead, after all.]

Oh dear. This keeps getting more complicated.

Tch. [he can sense where they are, all twenty or so of them, and isn't happy that some are at his back.] Cowards. Keep your guard up, Celestia, they're all around us. Might be time for you to play with your new toys.

[he steps into the the street and just starts walking, presumably toward the edge of town but this is Zoro, of course he's going the wrong way. As he strides, he pulls Kitetsu free, and none too soon as someone decides to get the jump on the bounty and shoots first. Zoro jerks to one side to let the bullet pass harmlessly by, and then sends a single-sword flying slash toward the place where the shot came from. It neatly slices a fence in half, exposing the fool who took the shot and burying him under a hail of wood splinters.]

Well, let's see here.

[At once, every weapon in her telekinetic grip flips up and outwards, making Celestia almost look more like a hedgehog with barrels for spines instead of a pony. She doesn't have to worry about a steady grip or wavering aim or timing her shots against her breathing, so when every hammer snaps forward in one sequence and gunpowder explodes in a rush all around her, the bullets fly straight and true. Guns fly out of hands all about the battlefield, because of course Celestia isn't trying to hurt anyone.]

[But the pony rears back a bit, startled.] Ah! That was much louder than I expected!

[good lord look at that. Zoro ducks to make sure none of them hit him, startled by the chaos as well]

Shit! Watch where you're pointing those things!

[anyone who escaped that barrage is going to be coming for them, though, so he dispenses with the careful choice of swords and moves and just pulls all of them, sticking Wadou Ichimonji between his teeth]

Screw it, let's end this.

[and off he goes, hunting the nearest flurry of movement and sending gunslingers shrieking in retreat]

Zoro! [Celestia pauses her absurd demigoddess disarming onslaught to cast a frown in his direction.] You cannot imagine for a second that I would endanger you through my actions!

[Honestly, Celestia thinks Zoro is the only human with any sense around here when it comes to weapon usage. They all have perfectly good mouths, why do they never grip weapons there?]

[well, no, he trusts her. And none of them did come anywhere near hitting him. It's just the principle of the thing. Clearly, he's fine, given the way he's able to stalk their enemies and prove the superiority of swords to them one at a time. Their fault for not attacking en masse, but then, they'd just all go down that much faster if they did.

He comes back satisfied, though he's still alert for reinforcements coming up behind them.]

I'm kind of done with this town, what do you think?

[Celestia takes care of her half of them in a sweep of weapon-shooting, telekinesis, and turning one particularly nasty shotgun into an oversized ear of corn. By the time Zoro returns to her side, she's almost done collecting their weapons.]

[Also she offers him the giant ear of corn.]

If that is lesson one, I'd be a poor student indeed to ignore it.

[Wow, that's...corn. He tucks it into the side of his haramaki to take back to Sanji]

You did pretty good for lesson one. Already years ahead of the class. [with a dirty look to their fallen foes, indicating that they were failing the lesson pretty hard]

Equestria is fairly good at nonviolence. I think you'd hate it there. [She smiles playfully as she tucks weapons away into her duster.]

But if nobody attacked me there, then I wouldn't have a reason to fight in the first place. So, it's not that bad.

[She isn't certain where they are going, and gives him something of a puzzled look which could be misinterpreted as curiosity, especially since she has another comment to make.]

Certainly nopony would, but you wouldn't find that boring? You've always given me the impression that you relish challenging yourself.

[he has to admit. No challenge at all? His life would suck.]

But what are the chances of me going to your world, anyway?

If we can come here, we can go back. And if we can go back, a way exists to travel between them. So it is entirely possible.

[Well, there are dragons and suchforth, but Celestia would be opposed to his attempts to slay them on general principle.]

You think? We still haven't found a way to get ourselves back home, period, outside of the shards.

If we can travel in one direction, we can travel in the other. We simply need to find the means to do so. The gem may indeed be that means.

Hmm. Guess it's worth checking out, once we get that far. We have to find more shards and get this jewel to work, first.

Or whatever the secret is. I still am not certain the jewel itself is the key. There's a lot of ambiguity written into that poem.

But whatever the case, I'll certainly be bringing back some very unexpected souvenirs.
