INTRO LOG: MAY 2014

WELCOME NEW CHARACTERS!
Have an intro log for the month of May!

Who: Any and all new characters, as well as anyone hanging out on or around Isla Empieza!
Where: Near the fountain in the town center.
When: New characters will arrive around May 10th! The log is good for as long as you need it.
What: You've just been dropped on your head in a weird new world. Time to figure out what the heck is going on!
Status: VERY OPEN.

It's a brilliant May day, with blue skies and a soft breeze as you wake up. Everything about the otherwise grubby pirate port you are in speaks of spring. There are flowers surrounding the fountain, draping in colorful garlands over railings and balconies and tucked into all corners. There is a certain cheerfulness to it all and those in Empieza seem friendly and welcoming (to those who've been there before, they are far more pleasant than usual).

Feel free to throw your characters here if you need a place for them to get situated and start figuring things out! Start new threads, tag into others, meet the people who might just become part of your crew! Older characters will be in and out, too, depending who is on the island at the current time.

[A head tilt. He doesn't recognize her, so she wasn't in one of the crews he was rounding up for help to rescue Ace. Still if she knows Ace...] Are you with the Straw Hats?

[A nod. If he was with Ace, then he should be cool with Luffy. So she had no reason to deny anything.]

Yeah, back home I'm their navigator. Luffy is running around here somewhere, we're just waiting for the rest of the crew to show up.

"Okay," a relieved grin, "I knew he had Bepo from the Heart pirates working with him, and Keimi, but they've been lacking a navigator for awhile. I'm surprised he even left your side. Got hungry for meat I take it?"

Probably. He was,/i> talking about fighting boars, I assume that that's what he ran off to do. I'e been looking for him while I walked around, but knowing him I'll end up bumping into him sooner or later.

[And then have to deal with whatever kind of chaos that he unleashed. Nothing new there.]

Good. Then there's still time.

Whatever you do, keep him away from this terrible drink called Redbull. It's got five times the caffeine as coffee, and Ace keeps sneaking him cases because he thinks it's hilarious.

[Luffy's brother has been giving him that much caffeine? Oh wow, how has the rest of the crew survived?!]

Uhh... don't worry, I'll keep this Redbull away from Luffy. That won't be a problem at all.

[And there is something in her voice that makes it clear that she'll make it happen without a doubt.]

[Nods! He knew he could count on a fellow navigator!]

Good.

He wandered over to our ship the first time, but then there was the Candy Mountain visit and his birthday so he's been a little wound up, yoi.

[Candy Mountain? Just hearing the name gave Nami bad thoughts.]

Damn, how have you all survived with him filled up with so much sugar?

I, for one, still have the occasional nightmare about waking up inside a D's stomach. But I think that's because Ace has started slipping casual words about eating me into his everyday conversation now that his brother promised not to.

Bepo still lives in fear, but that's more of Ace. And Nico Robin is just the most incredible person I've ever met so... [Shrug!] There's that.

[It sounded like she was going to have to have a chat with Luffy's brother whenever she saw him. But that last part catches her attention.]

Oh? You like Robin then?

[Take that as you will.]

[fierybluebird]

Mmn. [Nods numbly.] It's not a big secret.

[But it would help if he didn't trip over himself just trying to say hello really.]

[She's smiling now.]

Is it a secret from Robin?

[fierybluebird]

[He shakes his head no.]

Although I keep tripping over myself around her. [Drags a palm down his face.] The only times I calm down around her are as a bird and that's just awkward.

[Well that was interesting. But if Robin was fine with it, she supposed that it was fine. Robin deserved someone to make her happy after all.

Then she was again made curious.]

You can turn into a bird? So then you ate a Devil Fruit?

[He's half tempted to deadpan "no" to be a troll, but trolling Robin's nakama is probably a bad idea.]

[SO TEMPTING THOUGH.]

Something like that.

[He didn't completely troll at least.]

[Even if he did troll, it would have been the only conclusion that Nami would have gone with.]

So then what kind of bird can you turn into?

[fierybluebird]

[Exactly why it was so tempting!]

Oh, it's nothing special really.

[More lies.]

Ah come on, I want to hear what it is. What is it? An eagle? Or a robin? Or something like that?

[fierybluebird]

[Sly grin.]

Neither.

[dorobou_neko]

[This guy was going to be difficult.[

Then how about you go ahead and tell me before I end up listing every bird that I can think of?

[fierybluebird]

Really? That could be fun you know.

[Gestures with a thumb outside.]

You're a navigator, aye? What's your ambition?

[dorobou_neko]

[Not getting an answer, huh? Fine.]

My ambition? [Her gaze went back to her tattoo briefly before going back to Marco.] To fulfill my dream, which is to make a map pf the whole world.

[fierybluebird]

[A small whistle.] That is quite the ambition indeed. But I suppose that's fitting of the navigator of the next Pirate King, eh?

[He leads somewhere a little quieter and checks around, grinning even more deviously than ever.]

Tell me, how much would you trust a random stranger who offered to take you flying? Would the desire to see the island to map it outweigh the fear of trusting someone so new with such a thing?

[Ahahaha just when you thought he couldn't get weirder...]

[Okay this was starting to get weird. On the one hand she only just met this guy, but then again he knew Luffy and was on a crew with Ace.

Plus while this wasn't the world that she ha din mind, making her map still meant everything to her.]

If it was to further my dream, then I'd do whatever it took.

I can't talk too easily with the beak, but hang on loosely and I won't let you fall. If you're anything like your Captain though, please warn me before you do something crazy, aye?

[Because once he takes someone flying, he'll do everything to protect them, and that is not easy with certain rubber monkeys who find it hilarious to get stuck in tree branches.]

[But with that, he starts covering over his arms in blue flames.]
