Right, okay...so...there I was with just my spear and my armor. No magic, because the whole mountain was just soaked in dark power. And the ogre looks at me and says "So, you think you're tough, huh?"
[Embers rise up around the flame, creating the image of a monstrous ogre and a tiny pyromancer with a spear.]
And you know what I said to him, Haruta?
[She calls out to the adult listener now, trying to drag her into the whole performance.]

[When she looked at Haruta with the question, she grinned, smile large and eyes meeting that smile. Leaning forward, as if to encourage the curiosity in the kids around them she asked:]
What did you say to him, Chandra? [as if she were very into this (which honestly, she was, but she was rewarded with noticing a few kids leaning in more now as well]

I said, 'I don't think I'm tough at all. I just know something you don't.'
[The fiery image shifts, showing a whole valley in much clearer detail. The ogre is standing underneath a pile of loose rocks, and it should be obvious to the onlookers the cartoonish fate that's about to befall the ogre.]
And then I said to him, 'Since I'm such a good sport...I'll even let you in on the secret. Turn around and look.' But of course the big dumb thing didn't believe me.
[The ogre clutches his belly and mimes laughing.]
What do you guys think happened next, hmmm?
no subject
[Catching Haru's was harder.]
Oh, oh! I know! He... trips on his own feet. [she said wrong, resulting in a look from one of the others as if to say she were dumb. Gasp!] W-what? That's not it? [a silly smile]
no subject
Oh no, no. I decided to throw my spear.
[The little pyromancer pulls back her arm and hurls the spear. Not at the ogre...but at the rocks over his head.]
And then boom! No more ogre!
[The rocks tumble down and bury the ogre, one hand sticking out, waving a little flag. This continues for a few minutes to the giggling and chortling of pirate kids.
Chandra stands up and snaps her fingers, the fire shifting to perform a kind of intermission in the form of a shadow play. This one's about a dragon and two humans having a big fight...and doesn't need dialogue so she walks over and plunks down beside the little frog prince.]
What did ya think, Haruta?

[Resting back on her hands she tilted her head on her shoulder, looking at the story teller as she came to sit beside her]
I was so sure I figured that one out too. [she teased, and grinned a bit more.] Seriously, though. The fire show adds a nice depth to it all. Pretty amazing. Well told.

[Nam-chan does look pretty dead from where she's sitting, flopped down on the deck napping. It was a fair arrangement, Chandra could keep the little monsters entertained with her show for a little while and give him a break. And she could recover energy while he kept the hellions in line.]
Sorry you've gotta deal with this right off the bat. This is one of the more annoying curses I've seen. Not as weird as the one with the eggs...or the one where I was a man...but it's definitely up there.
no subject
Whoa, wait. Back up. [that brought a sharp smirk to her face] Something in this place changed you into a guy? [well damn, she missed ALL the fun events.]
no subject
Of course Haruta's smirk breaks her outta that right quick.]
Yeah. Totally woke up one day with no boobs, an Adam's apple, and the wrong parts down there. It...was sorta like being the opposite of who you are though. Like, Ace was quiet, and Selphie was depressing. And I had a dick. [She chuckles, the whole thing kind of amusing in retrospect.]
no subject
[Damn, how could had that been? Waking up like that.] I'd say you ended up with the better half of that deal. I'd bet if I were here I'd end up being super ultra serious or something. [Or super girly as all get out. She'd never have the luck to have the right parts]
no subject
Y'think so? I mean, at least my personality stayed the same and all, but it was weird. An eye opening experience to say the least.

Mine are okay, sure. But...[She smirks as looks to Haruta.] I like small ones better on other people.
no subject
I guess I'm in luck in that department. [her hand rested on her chest lightly. She's not completely flat at least. but damn girl she does have boob envy.]
no subject
I'd say so. You may be even more lucky, if you play your cards right. Especially with flattery like that.
[After all, who doesn't like a little flattery?]
no subject
Hey, it's not really flattery when it's the truth. They told me you were hot, but their words weren't doing you justice.
[What? You asked for flattery? She was full of it.]
no subject
Is that so? [Her eyes spark with actual flame, amused.] Well, y'know they told me you were a real cutie too. And feisty in all the right ways.
no subject
[She rolled a bit to lean on her elbow, chin in hand, smirking.] I'm told I'm an interesting experience when it comes to feisty. It's really too bad you're currently babysitting kids at the moment.
no subject
Am I really?
[And much to the amazement of all the assembled children, two short, squat rock golems and a trio of imps appear.]
Y'know, the best part about being me? I can get out of a lot of responsibility by delegating it to minions.
no subject
Not only sexy but a woman of many more talents then playing with fire.
no subject
Now you're just trying to get me all buttered up.
[Scootches a bit closer...]
no subject
Is it workin'? [she's amused, and she wasn't warned off of Chandra, and two different ships. Flirty harmless fun, right? She leaned in a bit closer, lips alsmot brushing hers. A whisper] Because if not, clearly I'm not trying hard enough.
no subject
Oh, it's working, alright. Pretty little thing like you doesn't have to try too hard, y'know...
[And she leans up again, this time kissing with a bit more force. Nobody ever told her not to. And hell, Marco practically planted the idea in her head, right? Damn bird.]
