Well, I'm almost positive you've never tried a poffins. They're these little sweet cakes made out of different kinds of berries. Usually made for pokemon, but humans could have them too.

[ She probably should mention that she only eats those things when she's stuck in the wilderness and has nothing else to eat, right?...Nah.
Cynthia pockets a few more stones for later, then takes his arm again. ]

Oh no not the coins. I found some sweet heart trees and picked some for you and the boys.

[ Which probably counts as over exerting herself? Whoops. ]

[If it's sweet and edible, then Gaius won't care about the circumstances so long as it tastes good.

Gaius picks up a few more of the rock-like candies, dropping them into a pouch. He quirks a brow at Cynthia then.]

Sweet heart trees? ...and when did you go and do that, huh?

[She bops his nose lightly before returning her attention to the chocolate waterfall that was coming into view. If there was anything that could cheer her up from her recent shard loss. That was definitely going to be it.]

[He holds back a sigh, shaking his head as he looks forward, not that the telltale smell of chocolate isn't enough to tell him what to expect.]

I can't believe Twinkles was holding out on me.

Eh, Maribelle said she'd made notes on places here that might be of interest to me, but of course she never bothered to mention anything about there being such an island even back when we were sailing on the same ship!

Oh...well what ARE your interests? All we ever talk about is the weird things Maribelle tell me about you. It just hit me now that I don't actually know much about you, other than you liking candy and being a thief.

And I didn't know you two were in a crew together.

We were for a little while. When I first arrived here, I was lucky enough to have found not only someone else from home that showed up around the same time I did, but someone that was with the crew that Maribelle ran. She used to be captain of the Shepherd, named after the group we worked in back in Ylisse.

Well there's just something off about introducing you as my pre-diabetic exconvict best friend, you know.

[ But she does smile fondly at that thought. ]

Best friend...we've come a long way since our first conversation about chocolate coins huh? To think, I didn't expect to survive long in this world. Now look at me. Standing on an island made out of candy, with a guy who saved my life with a bottle of rum and some bandages.

[As the waterfall comes fully into sight, he stops to stare because man, that is a beautiful sight.]

This is quite the upgrade from sacks of chocolate coins, though, don't you think?

Oh come on, you know how I feel about magic. Besides, I'm healing up just fine without it. All I need is a few more weeks to get over these small sharp pains, and I'm sure I'll be back to pissing off natives in no time.

[ She takes a seat on a nearby piece of rock candy and looks up at the waterfall. It was such a beautiful sight, made even better by the fact that it was 100% pure chocolate coming down this waterfall. She was also a little curious if it was a good idea to try out those little marshmallow fish swimming in the river, because they looked DELICIOUS. ]

I'd definitely pick this over chocolate coins. It smells heavenly.

Yeah, and keep up this kind of activity and you'll add a few more weeks besides.

[Gaius tugs off his right glove as he starts closer towards the chocolate falls, sticking his hand out to catch some of the chocolatey goodness. It's difficult to resist licking off his hand after he's sampled the stuff.]

Oh yeah. This here's quality chocolate. Puts those coins to shame.

What kind of activity? Walking? You have got to be kidding me right now.

[ It was bad enough Leo was getting all over protective of her. She didn't need Gaius to turn into that too.

But a playful smirk forms on her lips as she gets up and walks over to her darling best friend. Giving him a half hug before pushing him into the chocolate.

Whoops. ]

[The lopsided grin he flashes at her fades as she steps closer. Yeah, he can't help but be a little guarded at that, because women don't usually just come up to you and hug you for no reason.

...and he was right.

He's not going down alone if he can help it, however. The moment he finds his balance offset, he's going to grab her hand.]

[In the split second that he managed to grab hold of her, she panicked. This wasn't supposed to happen. Her going down with him WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN. HER FUR COAT CANNOT GET COVERED IN CHOCOLATE.

A loud splash follows. Arceus she's not happy about this.

[At least it isn't terribly deep. The chocolate-covered thief sits up, looking at himself. This...isn't quite how he wanted to enjoy this, but there are worse things.

Being chocolate-covered...is definitely on the tame list.

He lifts a chocolatey hand, licking it before he starts to laugh.]

[The champion surfaces as well. Slicking back her hair and wiping the chocolate off her face to fling it at him. She didn't take under consideration his quick reflexes.]

Well...that completely backfired on me.

[ Cue the pout. ]

[He doesn't bother trying to dodge or block that since it'd make little difference anyway. It might be hard to tell for all the chocolate, but that sure is a smirk on his face.]

[ And that pout quickly disappears from hers. Seriously, she couldn't stay mad at him even if she wanted to. Cynthia inches closer to wipe off the chocolate from the thief's face. ]

You know, the chocolate definitely makes you a whole lot cuter.

...yeah, much as I like chocolate, I don't think I'd wanna make it a part of my daily wear like this.

You sure about that? I'm sure you, of all people, would enjoy walking with chocolate all day everyday. Besides the ones hidden in those secret pockets of yours.

[She raises her hand to lick the chocolate off her fingers, then to pull down his headband to cover his eyes so she could get out of the river without him noticing her clutching her side. You could stay in there as long as you want Gaius. But the sharp pain came back when you pulled her in and she didn't want to make it worse.]

In pockets, sure. Not dressed in it. Besides, if this stuff hardens, it'd be pretty tough to walk in.

[Which makes him wonder how he's going to clean this all off, because as much as he might be able to lick, chocolate doesn't come out of material very easily.]

[He makes a face and paws at his chocolatey bandanna to try pulling it up. This is going to be fun.]

[ Hardens. Which means stuff could easily stick to him right? Oh yeah, that gives her a horrible idea.

Once she's back on dry land and had enough time to let the pain subside. She quickly looks around for something, ANYTHING to dump on him.

Then her eyes fall on a random pile of sprinkles... ]

At least all you have to wash is cloth. Do you know how hard it is to get solidified anything out of fur?

[He yanks his bandanna off, just managing to keep from wiping a chocolatey arm across his face. Instead, he tries to get to his feet, grabbing up his cloak to try and wipe off as much excess chocolate as possible because that thing is going to weigh a ton otherwise.]

Still pretty tricky stuff. Gets into all the little creases and crevices. I don't even wanna think how I'm going to get this stuff out of my boots. Wonder if it's possible to melt it all out.

Oh I'm sure we'll find a way, we always do. Though...I do wonder how you'll get the sprinkles out.

[And without even a second thought, she dumps a handful of sprinkles on his head. Yes, she's super mature.]
