What: fighting a sea monster!!!

Thash wanted to to bring back some good fish, but nothing like this...


oh yeah, and feel free to start your own threads if you want to fight the monster but not necessarily interact with Thash! It'll fight anyone that comes out to challenge it! ;3

[he didn't really know what to say to her first comment but it made him blush and look to the side, scratching the back of his head. He was happy to hear it though, it was better than having an uncomfortable body]

[he looked over at her as she asked if he'd had rest or medicine, holding still as she reached out for the bruise] well no, the guy only had one vial of medicine. This is less life threatening than a gunshot wound. [it did hurt but she was so gentle she didn't bother it much.] I'm sure this won't take too long to heal. It kinda hurts to swallow and it feels kinda tight but I'm okay. Sleep is probably all I need.

*Faye smirked at his reaction, pleased that she still had the ability to make him blush like that, and that he wasn't getting too used to hanging around with her that she couldn't tease him.

Her frown only deepened when he explained about the medicine. Her eyes narrowed as she glared up into his. Then her hand turned into a fist and she punched swiftly at his upper arm*

You idiot! Why didn't you tell me about the vial?! How was I supposed to know there was only one?!

[her punch didn't really hurt, but like a typical male he whined about it anyway]

Ow! Hey, what was that for? C'mon now, a hole in your ankle is way more serious than a bruise. You're not going to be able to walk until it's healed and you lost a lot of blood. All this is [he pointed to his neck] is a minor inconvenience! It was obvious that you should have the medicine so I didn't think it made sense to discuss it.

That's bullshit, Thash! You can't spend your life going round nearly dying then giving out the only remaining medicine to people with ruined ankles. I drank all that stupid medicine and I didn't need to. What a fucking waste, Thash. You fool.

*Faye continued to glare at him for a moment or two, seemingly rather frustrated with the whole thing. She kept her frustrated green gaze on Thash's for a long while or, at least, until he really understood how annoyed she is*

[he understood she was annoyed, but didn't really know why. In his mind, the way he'd done it was the only way that made sense. He tried to explain it better]

Look, I know I almost died, but that doesn't mean I'm severely wounded. You can die from suffocation with almost no wounding at all, and if I don't have a big wound I don't need medicine. I dunno how strong that stuff is so if you hadn't drank the whole thing maybe it woudlnt have helped you very much. At least I can walk without my ankle hurting and run without passing out from bloodloss. Clearly you needed it more than I did.

[he sighed a bit, seeing this was getting him nowhere]

That's not even what you're mad about, is it? Are you just mad because I didn't consult with you first?

[he thought that was understandable but at the same time, giving her the medicine had made too much sense for him to want to give her the chance to argue about it]

*Faye turned stubbornly away from Thash, and moved to pull her legs up to her chest. But then, she coped with one leg, but winced at the lack of movement from the other. She shook her head, stretching her bad leg out in from of her again*

That is what I'm mad about. Mad because you were nearly dead and carried me all the way here. And mad because you're still in pain but gave me all of the medicine. What is that all about? I can look after myself. And you should be looking after yourself.

[he frowned a bit as she tried to move her leg but was unable to] take it easy... And oh, we should be looking out for ourselves, huh? What about 'crew members look out for eachother', miss 'I'm gonna drag myself into a horse with a busted ankle to save me crew mate'...?

[he gave her a sidelong smirk] you're not as selfish as you pretend to be.

[he shrugged a bit] I couldn't just leave you there so of course I brought you back. And hey, if we'd been wounded equally then it would have made sense to split the medicine. But you were wounded way worse. You're absolutely right about one thing though, it was kinda rude to just decide things myself without consulting you first. So, sorry about that. Next time we'll both decide.

[he gave a sort of cute submissive smile] forgive me?

*She didn't seem to like him using her as an example, as proof that she did sometimes act against what she said. A hypocrit really. Faye made a huffy noise and continue to keep her head turned away from him. But she looked back to see his smirk*

I am. I'm selfish and moody and mean and greedy.

*Faye chuckled at smile and held his chin in her hand, tilting his head so that his face was closer to hers, and she could stare at him directly*

Fine. Forgiven.

[thash chuckled a little at her description of herself. He thought she was moody alright but didn't agree with the rest of it. She was kind in his opinion, and she might like material things but he thought she cared more about things that mattered.]

[his smile faded a bit when she stared at him directly from so close. It put a little color in his cheeks, but when she said he was forgiven, he gave another small smile] thanks.

*Faye blinked back at him, noting how his smile had faded. Then she slowly let go of his chin, allowing him to take his head back if he wanted it. Shuffling back a little, Faye created more empty space between them*

Thash the vicious fighter, and a rescuer. But he's still scared of his friend, hmm?

*Her eyelashes fluttered as she teased him, resting back against her pillows again*

I'm not afraid of you, [he said, sounding slightly amused. To demonstrate he rolled over onto his knees and leaned closer to her until his face and body were hovering only inches above hers. He blushed a little but again he wasn't smiling, looking serious. His eyes looked at hers intensely for a few seconds] I just express myself a little differently I guess... [he said, his voice barely above a whisper. It would be hard to read his expression. He might have a crappy poker face but when it came to hiding his feelings, he was pretty good at that without even realizing it.]

[Soon he pulled back and just sat cross legged near her, his tail thumping a little. There was an awkward silence]

*His little demonstration even brought a small tinge of pink to Faye's cheeks. He was just so suddenly very close, the way he held himself above her. Not to mention his intense gaze that she found she couldn't look away from, nor even blink. Faye really couldn't tell what he was thinking or feeling in those moments, and when he pulled away, she realised she'd been holding her breath.

When he moved away, Faye slowly brought herself into a sitting position. She took a breath and eyed the room slowly, like she was scanning it for something to start a conversation to break the awkward silence with*

So. You're not afraid of me. I'll remember that.

Yeah. Anyway, I'm keeping you from your sleep... And as you pointed out I should probably rest a bit too.

[he looked back at her with a casual smile as if nothing out of the ordinary had just happened] I hope you heal up quick. I know it's gotta suck to walk on that so I'll bring you some more food in the morning.

[myfayevalentine]

*Faye blinked at his casual smile, then shrugged a shoulder. That was fine. Whatever it was that just happened was totally normal in Thash's books, apparently, so she was just going to go with that*

Right. Well, the medicine and stuff helped so, yeah. I'll see you after we've both had a bit of rest.

[or maybe he just didn't want to talk about it. Either way, he rose from her bed and stretched his backs a bit] alright, then... Good night, Faye.

*Faye reached for one of her pillows and fluffed it up between her hands, watching him get up*

Alright. Good night.

[he flashed a brief smile then left her room, closing the door quietly behind himself. He lingered for a moment before giving a long sigh, frustrated with himself. He'd then return to his own room and get some sleep]
