"Plenty of both around here. And booze too. Looks like you lucked out." Faye grinned a little, offering a hint of a wink.

"Seems like the network is pretty crazy right now. This sort of thing happen often?"

[myfayevalentine]

"Not that I'm aware of... I mean, sometimes crazy stuff happens but - it's never been as fucked up as this before. I'm quite happy to keep my body to myself. Urgh - who knows what creep could have wound up with this?"

She patted her thighs and looked down at herself, very pleased not to have anyone else borrowing her body.

"Well, I doubt anyone could beat my body up as much as I have, at this point," he shrugged, "Guess girls have a lot more to lose, if someone takes their body for a test drive. Looks like I'll be handling armory duties on the ship."

He raiseed his left arm and turned, showing off his pistol.

"Got a few of my own. So what's it like where you're from?"

"Women's bodies are much more scared than men's. Though I have a feeling I don't have to tell you that..." Faye smirked, nodding slightly towards his pistol. "Good to have another gunslinger on board. They're all sword users round here, like something out of a bad movie."

She shrugged at that, but couldn't help but glance upwards when he asked where she was from. "Earth, originally. Now just...wherever I wind up in the solar system. Pretty standard. How about you?"

"Oh ho? So they have space travel where you're from? About time I met someone from a place with a similar technology level. I pilot the Outlaw Star, myself. Most bad-ass grappler ship in the whole Sentinel System. I'm also an Earther, myself."

Faye's eyes widened at the mention of space travel, which is just about the extent of how she chooses to show her enthusiasm with people she doesn't know. She tilted her head with an amused smile and put a hand on her hip. "Is that so? Huh. Well, welcome to the age of fuck all technology. People round here will look at you like you're crazy for saying you live in space."

"Tell me about it. I can't get used to this slow movement. I also don't like being so restricted on WHERE I can move."

"Yeah, I'm not quite adjusted to this sea ship stuff yet. But I'm sure we'll wind up on some kind of island soon. So long as the island as a bar, then I'm okay with it."

"My kinda' girl. A working knowledge of where the hooch is can certainly help, after a long trip."

Faye nodded softly in agreement, "Besides, I think you owe me a drink."

[caster_blaster]

"Oh yeah, we did decide on that, didn't we?" he said, remembering their earlier conversation, "Well, I never go back on my word. We'll just have to make sure that we take care of that."

"Good. I only hope the next island we arrive at has some decent places to drink. Meanwhile, there's a small stash in the galley. You've joined a crew of tee totallers and lightweights, mostly."

"Really? Now that IS interesting news. How's the Captain? She seems a little...off."

[myfayevalentine]

"She's crazy. But she makes sure her crew are looked after and safe. Most of the time. I'm pretty sure she doesn't like me a lot of the time but...I can live with that. She's likely to like you much better."

[caster_blaster]

"Well, I do tend to get into the good graces of the ladies pretty easily," he said, stroking his chin as he looked off wistfully, "...Though her body is a bit slim for my tastes."

As soon as he said it, Faye glanced around them quickly, just to make sure that Grell wasn't in earshot. "Don't ever let her hear you say shit like that. She'll slice you up with her chainsaw."

"What? I like curvy girls, I'm upfront about it," he shrugged, "But yeah, she brandished that at me, already. I don't think she liked me saying it wasn't a very good weapon for most people. I mean, my points were solid, but she get all huffy."

"Whatever kind of women you like is up to you, but that's exactly my point - say something that thr captain doesn't agree with, and there'll be big trouble. Or at least, plenty stupid conversations."

"You wouldn't believe how often I end up in those."

[myfayevalentine]

"If you like that, then you've come to the right crew with the right ladies."

[caster_blaster]

He looked her over for a moment, more out of general assessment than outright leering. This time.

"So what's your weapon of choice? If it's on you, then you certainly hide it well."

[myfayevalentine]

"Machine guns. But sadly we don't have any of those."

Faye pointed to the holster on her upper thigh, and the pistol she'd aimed at him earlier.

"I like anything that shoots. Round here, that means using the cannons too.'

"Never seen an old-timey canon up close. Could be cool to test it out," he nodded, "Those are pretty easy to hide. Though I wonder how much stopping power they have. Me, I prefer to carry openly."

He shows the long holster on his right.

"Double-barreled blaster. Packs a good punch, for having only two shots at a time. You can fell a tree with a few rounds of this."

Then he pulled his own pistol, tossing it to her, "Armor piercing rounds, quick reload, and easy upkeep. Must have kind of thing on the frontier."

"They can be interesting. But not nearly as fast or explosive enough as I'd personally like... But I can deal with that."

She caught his pistol easily and moved it between her hands, testing the weight, checking its features.

"Pretty nice."
