Not feeling like myself today...
Who: The Spade crew ... and the unfortunate souls who've swapped bodies with them
Where: Sun, Moon, Big Dipper, Little Dipper
When: Aug 21st-25th
What: Mist-Taken Identity event
Warnings: Varied; please put warnings in subject lines if/when necessary
Style: Any
Status: Open to crew/swapped crew
A catch-all log for the Spades and their shenanigans for the event.
If you aren't using icons for your character's swap and they are swapped, linking a picture of what they now look like would be helpful!

Well, this is awkward...
The room looks familiar, but it's not the one he was in when he fell asleep. Same goes for the clothes, actually. He hops down to the floor (and wow are his legs shorter) and decides to take a peek out the door.
Crap.
It's not like boats look all that different from each other, but he's definitely been here before and he had no intention of ever darkening this doorstep ever again. Just his luck. Well, at least that makes it easy to figure out what's going on here. It looks like that weird mist had some sort of body swap curse in it, because this is definitely the Moon and this is definitely the body of one Selphie Tilmitt.
So.
First order of business is to find her journal and see what horrible things Selphie is doing to his body. Second order of business is to hope people aren't as attached to their journals as he is and snoop around his old stomping grounds and see what he can see.]
["Selphie" can be found doing a passable Selphie impression and doing rather what you would expect to find Selphie doing. If she seems particularly zealous about cleaning the ship today, well, that's because it's the easiest way for Lea to stick his nose where it doesn't belong.]
/makes it worse
[Marco gives "her" a one-armed hug around the shoulders and leans on her head.] Please tell me you're still you. [Between losing oh..... everyone, and then everyone else getting mixed up... nah man, he's in a sad state and could use a bff hug.]

If nothing else, all that time doing the double agent/assassin gig taught him the control necessary not to headbutt him, though the temptation is definitely there. He manages to paste on a sunny smile and lean on him a little. (Ugh.)]
Who else would I be, silly?
no subject
[A laugh and he kisses her forehead.] I have no idea where any of my brothers are now. This is a nightmare. Ace used to set his sheets on fire back when he got nightmares when he first got his devil fruit, I have no idea how anyone will handle that. And Asami is in Korra's body and pretty much accidentally flinging bending the minute she moves at all.
And I have such a headache already. I can't even enjoy laughing at everyone else yet, because I think I might be the only sailor on board. Do you have the key to the helm? [HOPEFUL GRIN!]
no subject
The key to the helm...
[Repeat it, look cute, pout a little. That should work.]
Do I? It's been total craziness, hasn't it? I think I'd forget where my head was if it wasn't right here. [Point, smile, a giggle might be a little much.] I guess if I have it, it must be here somewhere...
[If he's trying to catch him in a lie, if it's not something Selphie would have, he's hamming it up enough that he can always act like it's a joke.]
no subject
Check your pockets?
no subject
So that's it! You just want to know what's in my pockets!
[Okay, a giggle probably wouldn't be overkill here. Might as well fish through the pockets, too.]
Did you seriously get locked out?
no subject
Eh... you know how Ace is since last time. Only he's not Ace right now so...
Are you sure you're okay, Sunshine?
no subject
[Because he found some of that and he figures Selphie wouldn't mind him sharing it. Who knows how old it is, anyway.]
no subject
[ooc: Normally Selphie would try to talk Marco out of that, but even if [Lea] doesn't, Marco would just assume it's because everything is a mess.]
no subject
[Not that he gives a shit, but he presumes Selphie would.]
no subject
Although I guess I wouldn't be able to relock it without the key.
Ah, all right, I'll find Ace and make sure it's locked on the correct heading.
no subject
[In fact, go do that right now.]
no subject
No no, either Ace has it or he gave it to someone to keep me away from it. Really I don't know why he doesn't trust me with it. You screw up one or three times and suddenly it's a big deal. It's not my fault ocean currents are nothing like air currents. How does anyone deal with that?
no subject
You mean you still haven't learned to sail a boat? Should I keep that a secret?
no subject
Don't forget I make almost all of our maps.
I just overdo the helms. But if Ace isn't even here we'll have to do something.

[Smile, wink, thumbs up, go away, Marco.]
