Beach party beach party
Who: Hazmat crew!
Where: Aquatica Paradise (and sailing to it if you'd like)
When: appx Sept 24-30 (or, for sailing, anytime the 14-23)
What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!
Warnings: not likely
Style: anything you want
Status: closed to Hazmat crew only unless another crew is on the island?
[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.
Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?
((ooc: for all your info needs the island is here. Date your threads in the header if you need!))

I don't think these are for eating. I think you're just supposed to pet them.

[He snatches a sea urchin and picks it up carefully, actually following the instructions on a nearby sign not to lift it out of the water.]
You can eat these.
[Not that they look appetizing when they're alive.]

[Roxas pokes at it and pulls his hand back. Ouch. He sucks on his finger without much thought given he's had it in marine water all this time.]
It's pointy. Doesn't look like it would be good.
no subject
[He's no sushi chef or anything, but how hard can it be?]
no subject
[But Roxas makes no move to pet it again after all he just pricked his finger, no thanks. A sting ray swims by and he puts his palm on it with a grin.]
This is a really cool place! Did you pet fish before?
no subject
[It's becoming increasingly clear that Lea was a holy terror as a child.]
You can't really blame me, though. They're pretty cool looking. Do they have any?
[He slips off Roxas' back and leans over the tank himself, trying to see what's lurking in there.]
no subject
I don't know! Are you going to take something from this aquarium?
[Because if so, he totally wants in.]
no subject
[He tries to pick up a starfish, but it's holding too tightly onto one of the little rocks in the bottom of the tank.]
The hard part is getting it out of here and back there without getting caught. If they kick us out, that's the end of our vacation.
no subject
Well, you know, I could distract the guy watching over everything and you could take something and sneak out.
[He could do that just fine, after all he was a master of asking a million questions.]
no subject
Still gotta get out the front, though. Plus we've gotta keep anything I pick up alive until we get back to the boat with it. Lots of variables to consider.
[He grins when the little crustacean snaps at his finger and pokes it again.]
no subject
[He runs his hand over a manta ray.]
If you think you can't.
[Is he teasing? Absolutely. But Roxas also expects Lea may fall for that.]
no subject
[grumble]
Maybe a crab or something. Crabs can breathe air, I think.
no subject
[He rolls his eyes a little.]
It's alright Lea, we'll just look at them. We can catch something in the sea anyway.
no subject
[He mumbles it mostly to himself, but Roxas can probably hear him. While he understands why Roxas thinks that (any emotion makes him "defective," it seems), it annoys him a bit. He's probably cried almost as many times as Roxas has in the past year or so.]
I could steal a crab if I wanted.
[He pokes the hermit crab again, just being mean to it now.]
no subject
It doesn't? But I'm supposed to be empty inside, remember?
[He doesn't think he's felt that emptiness, not for a long time.]
It's okay, just pet the crab.
[He leans against Lea lazily.]
no subject
[His pride is a bit wounded now. He can't raise his voice, though, or the attendant will know he's considering pilfering the sea life.]
And stop saying that. I keep telling you you aren't supposed to be.
no subject
[It's his fault for teasing him, really.]
Yeah because I have a heart now, right? Or maybe a little...I don't know. It's still pretty confusing.
no subject
[But Roxas isn't totally empty, he's sure of it. There are times when it's clear that he's missing pieces, but it's usually pretty obvious that he feels emotions the same way everyone else does with none of the empty dullness that comes with being a Nobody.]
I just know there's something in there. It may be a little wonky, but it's there and that's good enough, right?
no subject
[He grins and gives Lea a squeeze around his middle.]
I dunno how to fix it though.
no subject
[He shrugs and starts trying to pry a snail off the edge of the tank. Snails can survive out of water, right? Or can sea snails not do that? What's the difference between different kinds of snails, anyway? They all look like snails.]
No sense worrying about it right now.
no subject
[He leans over the edge of the tank a bit to watch, swishing his arms in the water which frightens a fish or two. Oops, he hadn't meant to do that.]
I think I pet all the things in here already.
no subject
[Snails are stubborn, though, and it's not budging. So much for stealing a snail. He's doomed not to look cool.]
no subject
I think I'm done. There's other things to do here right?
[Exploring the aquarium is secondary to petting all the marine life he could get his hands on.]
no subject
[Lea has been trying to take it easy, but that's not exactly something Roxas excels at. He expected if he found him, he was going to end up getting dragged around for the rest of the day and it looks like he's right.]
Do they have sharks? I wanna see sharks.
[Since you don't want to look too close at them when you're out to sea and, as stated before, he doesn't get to go to the aquarium much.]
no subject
[Roxas tugs on Lea's sleeve and heads deeper into the aquarium.]
