Where: Aquatica Paradise (and sailing to it if you'd like)
When: appx Sept 24-30 (or, for sailing, anytime the 14-23)
What: VACATION. They've had a rough summer so it's time for some downtime. There are water parks, beaches, and an obligatory onsen, so mix and mingle with the super-happy (and young and pretty) locals and have some fun!

[Gan Ning promised his ragtag crew a party, and by god, they were going to have a party. It might have been worth it to hold on Isla Empieza, to mingle with other crews there, but there wasn't much going on there to stick around for. He heard from someone in the harbor about this island and decided it would make a great place for a party.

Somewhere along the way Raphael disappeared, sadly, but the rest of them continued on. They had already put off partying for too many reasons - a poor showing in the race, other crewmates disappearing, Cynthia's rescue from the clutches of giant spiders, and so on. No more. This time, they were just going to put down anchor, hang out on the beach, make some ice cream, and have a good time. Besides, with Tsuzuki joining the crew, they had to show him that they knew how to stick together, right?

[Ariel was pretty happy that the party was beach side actually. It made it easier for her to get there. Which is the place she wanted to be, anywhere that the crew was. She is a creature of emotions and she falls for people very fast. Grows attached to a group fast, so it' no wonder she grew so attached to these people.]

[When one leaves, it's almost heart breaking, and they'd lost people, so she liked being around crew as much as possible.]

[SO have a green finned red headed mermaid on the beach, a blue and white stripped bikini top worn now. She's resting on a log around the bonfire, elbows on it and grinning, watching the fire dance. So this was fire. It was so warm. She'd sen it now that she had been here, but she can't help but be enchanted by it every time she can get close to it. Siiigh]

[Other then her bonfire watching, she stays out of water for the most part, seated here or stretchered out there and generally laughing at the locals or the crew and having a good time.]

[the locals are definitely fascinated by a mermaid, so likely Ariel doesn't have to worry about attention, but Gan Ning makes a point to stick close by for a while just in case. At least, until he's had enough to drink that his worries all melt away, and then it's just a matter of jingling past now and then when the dancing takes him that way.

At one point he does flop onto the other end of her log to catch his breath]

Whew! Now this is what I call a party! Havin' fun, Ariel?

[She doesn't notice the protective eye over her. She just giggles and talks with the locals while they are fascinated and then sighs a breath of relief when they are too drunk to care anymore or have gone off to dance.]

[She wishes she could dance. Dancing looks fun.]

[When Gan Ning does dance by, he might see her clapping along with the beat or giggling, and when he drops in to take a breath she beams]

I'm having a wonderful time, Xingba, thank you! Everyone has been really nice.

Yeah? Nobody givin' ya any trouble? Good! Good, I didn't wanna hafta get rough with anybody.

[he does need a break, so he's going to sit there to catch his breath and maybe sober up a little]

Turned out to be a pretty good party.

[her fin flipped a bit behind her, a sign that she was happy with the company anyhow. She leaned on her arms and smiled up at him]

If anyone was giving me trouble, the sea isn't that far for me to reach. You wouldn't have to get rough with anyone. but people have been great. Lots of questions at first. But you're right, it's been a great party! I hope everyone's been enjoying themselves.

Yeah, me too. We've really needed this kinda party for a while, now.

[grins shamelessly at her.]

I'm surprised you don't throw one more often. They're so much fun.

[she grinned back, then pushed herself up on the lop, turning to put her back to the bonfire, hands dusting off her fin and belly of sand]

Hey, Xingba? What's it like to dance? I mean, they look like it's a lot of fun, so I assume it is.

Yeah, I know. It's more fun with more people, though. The more the merrier, they say?

[he blinks at the question, though]

What's it like? Uh. It's fun, yeah. I dunno how to describe it, though. You get all sweaty and out of breath but you're happy, and...yeah.

More people then this? [she said a bit surprised, but then chuckled at his comment on dancing. Sweaty and out of breath, but fun.]

Not sure I've ever sweat before either. [She was all grins though, amused by that.] It does look fun. We dance under water too, but it's much different.

Oh yeah! I've had parties with the soldiers where there's hundreds of us!

...wait, you can dance under the water? Really? Heh, I shoulda expected that. Mermaids, and all.

Hundreds! That's amazing. We've had great balls and parties that span the whole kingdom, but nothing like this kind of party.

[that made her chuckle though] Oh yes, merfolk love to dance!

[big dumb grin] Man, I'd love to see that. Mermaids dancin'. That's gotta be a sight.
