Battle On Th' High Seas

Who: Anyone who wants to partake
Where: In the waters between Turvey Top and Ebony & Ivory
When: October 17th 2pm-6pm
What: Battle, mayhem, treasure and piracy
Warnings: Violence
Status: Very open!

Around 1:45pm, ships gathered in the waters between Turvey Top and Ebony & Ivory will see the gigantic Naval frigate, the Argustos, chugging through the calm waters to destinations unknown. Close by and running a little ahead on the wind is a Naval scout ship, caravel class, named Pantopes.

Sharp eyes will be able to spot the ships on the Argustos' tail, though, and the giant frigate will weigh anchor to prepare for the attack of the Corpse King and his five ship Armada, made of three caravels and two brig sloops.

The Corpse King himself has a brig sloop, Achlys and will be at the back end of the battle, providing cover fire.

Feel free to attack to your heart's content and loot wherever you wish. There's great treasures there for the bold and daring, and most unpleasant deaths for the unwary.

[Well, no one else is jumping on this, but Bepo, he is. He's not too far behind Zoro in invading the frigate. He knows Zoro doesn't need the help, but he also knows where Zoro goes there is bound to be plenty of action. That and someone needs to keep an eye on him to make sure he knows where he is going.]

[He knows that Robin wants something here, and he knows that in order to get home again they need the shard, so fight he will. Because they need these things. They need the shard to get home, so he was intent on helping to look for it (even if they don't get it this time).]

[Zoro might hear Yips behind him, of a Kung Fu polar bear wearing his bright orange jump suit (easier to see him in) and brown boots. Brown boots that kick with a mighty force. While Zoro takes on a force of Navy men, Bepo just kicked several off the frigate and into the waters. Aye Yi yi Yi Kick!]

[So have a fuzzy Kung Fu assistant, willing to kick a few towards your swords too if you get bored.]

[Zoro hasn't gotten the chance to really fight alongside Bepo, yet, so catching the movement out of the corner of his good eye makes him grin. Kung fu bear knows what he's doing, clearly. And he's the best assistant, zipping around clearing the deck like that.

For his part Zoro is mainly fending off the Navy with relative ease, showing them that his swordsmanship is far superior without even hardly breaking a sweat, but it's the damn cannons and projectiles still flying at him that are the trouble. He breaks off in order to swivel and cut through a cannonball that's screaming toward the deck, not even thinking twice about it, but really, who shoots cannonballs at the deck? The enemy, that's who. It's one of the Corpse King's poison cannonballs, and the instant Zoro's blades slice the iron shell in half, the thing explodes with a small concussion, spewing poison mist everywhere. Zoro buries his nose and mouth in the crook of one arm, even as Navy men scatter and leave him there to deal with it.

What the hell? Where'd that come from?
