Battle On Th' High Seas

Who: Anyone who wants to partake
Where: In the waters between Turvey Top and Ebony & Ivory
When: October 17th 2pm-6pm
What: Battle, mayhem, treasure and piracy
Warnings: Violence
Status: Very open!
Around 1:45pm, ships gathered in the waters between Turvey Top and Ebony & Ivory will see the gigantic Naval frigate, the Argustos, chugging through the calm waters to destinations unknown. Close by and running a little ahead on the wind is a Naval scout ship, caravel class, named Pantopes.
Sharp eyes will be able to spot the ships on the Argustos' tail, though, and the giant frigate will weigh anchor to prepare for the attack of the Corpse King and his five ship Armada, made of three caravels and two brig sloops.
The Corpse King himself has a brig sloop, Achlys and will be at the back end of the battle, providing cover fire.
Feel free to attack to your heart's content and loot wherever you wish. There's great treasures there for the bold and daring, and most unpleasant deaths for the unwary.
Naval Battle
OPEN to any crew
As soon as they come within range he invades the Navy frigate without warning, landing on their foredeck with all three swords drawn and grinning around the hilt in his mouth as the enlisted men flail and then swarm him. He may not be intent on personally laying his own hand on the shard, but as long as what he does out here gets his crew closer to it, that's all he needs. Even if they aren't the ones who come out with it, but he has no way of knowing that as he clears a path for any and all comers.
Of course, there are a lot of Navy guys around him. Strong as he is, all it takes is the slightest bit of bad luck and even Roronoa Zoro could go down. He won't say no to backup, and if any other pirate crews want to team up with him, he'll go for it. There's a lot of peons to mow through, and some of the frigate's deck guns swivel to blast shrapnel at boarding parties as well. Let's have some good fights!]
no subject
[He knows that Robin wants something here, and he knows that in order to get home again they need the shard, so fight he will. Because they need these things. They need the shard to get home, so he was intent on helping to look for it (even if they don't get it this time).]
[Zoro might hear Yips behind him, of a Kung Fu polar bear wearing his bright orange jump suit (easier to see him in) and brown boots. Brown boots that kick with a mighty force. While Zoro takes on a force of Navy men, Bepo just kicked several off the frigate and into the waters. Aye Yi yi Yi Kick!]
[So have a fuzzy Kung Fu assistant, willing to kick a few towards your swords too if you get bored.]

At least it seems no one's home up there, but given that it looks like all hands are on deck and most of those are full, who's the thief to complain? Makes his work easier. Hopefully the rest of his miniature boarding party will have just as easy a time.
Slinking his way down, Gaius eyes the fighting, looking for a good spot to land on deck. A shout and a gunshot that zings past his head draws his attention first, and he turns his masked visage towards the man who had shot at him, visibly startling him. Well, so much for covert. Leaping, Gaius's first target is easily chosen from there. Shoot at him, will ya?!]

Aside from the fact he looks completely awkward and uncomfortable in his own skin, Roxas is glad to see Zoro, even though he's a girl at the moment.]

lol planning what is planning IMPROMPTU everything thread for HazMats
Well! I guess we're doing this. I'm telling you now, I'm not used to this command thing, but it looks like it's a crowd over there, and bound to get more so.
I say we wait for the opening rounds and hold back here until things get started. That's not something we want to get stuck in the middle of if it comes down to a firefight. Since our cannons aren't doing us much good, I think it'd be best we just provide support from the sides.
Twigs- you and Toothless be our eyes up top. Do what you gotta do, but don't make yourselves targets, and be ready to bring over a boarding party. [Grin.]
Scales, you an' Sweets handle things down below. I think if you stick to what you did for the ship heist, you should be fine.
Porcupine, Duckling and Ghost- you got any preferences? Don't think we need to bring everyone over, but anyone planning to join the party over there's definitely going to have to be able to hold their own in a fight.
Aaand anyone else?

Open To - Hazmats, Cynthia, Others in the Waters!
[Ariel is an impressionable young woman. So all of this pirating that she is learning from her new crew? It's all so interesting and rebellious and amazing and dangerous and just... yes, she wants to be apart of it. She wants to be apart of this crew and help them.]
[And knowing that she CAN now? That she can do things under water to help? That's super amazing to her. First helping to steal a ship (she got SHOT at too no less) and now this? She's excited, and concerned.]
[When given her orders she nodded, and looked over to her other mermaid friend. They could do this.]
[open to Hazmats]
-----
[When it comes time to go, Ariel easily slipped over the edge of the railing of the ship, waited to make sure Cynthia would make it over, then dove in, hands and head first, diving in deep. Her body felt twisted as her legs morphed back to a green fin. She shimmied out of her skirt, twisting it around to tie at her middle like a belt, and then took off swimming.]
[To Cynthia she spoke under water.]
So long as we stay deep under water the canons will slow down before they can hit us. Bullets too I noticed will slow down. We only need to get closer to the surface to jam rudders!
[she'll also pop up from time to time to make sure people on their crew are alright.]
[Open to Cynthia]
-----
[AND... IF ANOTHER MERMAID HAPPENS TO BE AROUND... Ariel is also keeping an eye out for crew, but she might be seen, a couple of times, pushing a Navy man up out of drowning levels of water and up on something floating in the water.]
[Ariel doesn't want anyone to DIE, at least not while she can help it, so yes, if she's not wrecking rudders with Cynthia she might actually be helping others on either side.]
[Open to Keimi or ANY crew that might have fallen into the water!]
mostly for ariel but ota fellow fish people

Open to anyone!!
He thought about helping his lovely Robin-chwan~ with her plan to find the journal, but honestly, she probably doesn't need his help. Which means he'll just make himself useful in other ways. There are a lot of different crews and ships in these waters...figures everyone paid attention to the information Meep was handing out. With the Navy here, too, this could really get messy quickly.
So Sanji will just be busying himself with making sure the Merrily has a way out, especially if they need to make a quick escape. Best way to do that? Take out any shitty ship that happens to be in the way. Maybe he'll slip down to the gun deck of whatever ship he ends up on and pull an Usopp. Plowing through loads of Navy men and crew of the Corpse King isn't so hard, surely working the cannons and aiming them against the other ships in the armada won't be either?]

He's only got one keyblade out and he's doing his best. He's still better than some of the people, it's just that he looks incredibly awkward moving the way he does. He gets knocked down onto the deck hard, which makes him groan but he reaches up and plants his foot in the man's stomach as hard as he can to return the favour. He follows it with a jab of Oblivion, painting him and the blade in a shower of red. Ew.]

IN YUR FRIGATE, STEALIN' YUR SHARD and whatever else looks nice - OTA
Of course he doesn't expect it to be so easy. If there's anything of worth aboard here, it's going to be guarded, so the thief prepares himself for any surprises. He knows that any guards on duty around here are going to be on edge, so he needs to be extra careful.
And given what they're protecting it's not too much of a surprise to him that there are more than two down here. Tch. Well, time to make being a dread fighter pay off.]
Corpse King Armada Battle
The Bloody Roses (will be open to all as we get onto the ship!)
Her goal is to make his life hell or die trying.
She turns to their navigator, not looking too happy at the delay of letting off some pent up frustration.]
BRING US CLOSER! [With all the commotion going on, she has to yell.]

OTA :3 come fight with meh
((Bloody rose interaction only for the above))
[he dove off the railing into the water and swam out ahead of his ship, sword in hand. He went straight for the ship that the corpse king was supposedly on, intending to make sure he'd be unable to flee in it. Reaching the rudder and rigging at the back end of the ship, he immediately set about sabotaging it. He wouldn't destroy it beyond a simple repair- what if Grell decided to steal the ship? But he made sure it wouldn't be going anywhere without some attention]
((Strong swimmers/aquatic non-human interaction for that))
[After disabling the ships' steering capability, it was time to join the fight. He got his speed up and jumped out of the water on the starboard side, grabbing the railing and vaulting over onto the deck. His very sudden appearance might cause a surprised stir, but any corpse king crew nearby would have to recover and fight back quickly if they didn't want to be hacked apart. This wasn't a battle he intended to show much mercy in. With a combination of his sword, teeth and tail, he'll be wreaking havoc amongst the corpse king's crew, trying to avoid getting surrounded]
((Everybody welcome to join in the above ^^))

The canons balls from the other ship are narrowly missing her as she stands, blowing up crates behind her, but their own aren't holding back either. There was a hug rope swung from the other ship and she dashed to catch it. She spotted Thash slicing and dicing through the throng of enemy. She checked the rope before swinging herself to the enemy ship, slamming her feet in the enemy's face and right into the mast of the ship, mere inches away from Thash.]

She wants to prove herself, she's a worthy fighter... as soon as they're close enough and the captain gives the orders to board the other ship, she jumps off - hiding in the shadows doesn't work when there are no shadows. So this time she goes right for the kill, taking down anyone who is in her way.
... She may not care if a fellow crew-mate is in said way.]

[He ducked quickly out of instinct, seeing clearly now that it was Karai. He rose back up with a slight growl, raising his sword to block any further (hopefully accidentally aimed at him) strikes]
hey! Easy there killer... I remember you saying you're not used to working on a team but that doesn't mean this is a free-for-all!
[he tried to be humorous about it, because if he wasn't he'd probably get sort of pissed off. This wasn't the time to argue amongst crew though]
Do me a favor and keep the pointy end towards the enemy alright?
[not having any more time than that to talk, he turned to swing his blade into an approaching corpse king crew member]
