Battle On Th' High Seas

Who: Anyone who wants to partake
Where: In the waters between Turvey Top and Ebony & Ivory
When: October 17th 2pm-6pm
What: Battle, mayhem, treasure and piracy
Warnings: Violence
Status: Very open!
Around 1:45pm, ships gathered in the waters between Turvey Top and Ebony & Ivory will see the gigantic Naval frigate, the Argustos, chugging through the calm waters to destinations unknown. Close by and running a little ahead on the wind is a Naval scout ship, caravel class, named Pantopes.
Sharp eyes will be able to spot the ships on the Argustos' tail, though, and the giant frigate will weigh anchor to prepare for the attack of the Corpse King and his five ship Armada, made of three caravels and two brig sloops.
The Corpse King himself has a brig sloop, Achlys and will be at the back end of the battle, providing cover fire.
Feel free to attack to your heart's content and loot wherever you wish. There's great treasures there for the bold and daring, and most unpleasant deaths for the unwary.

Finally, there's a break in the action just long enough for him to slice across the wood and free his foot, and he takes out his annoyance on the next Navy guy to try to take advantage of it. It's an officer, a commander of some rank who also has two swords. Zoro moves easily around Roxas to pick up where he left off, grunting behind the sword in his mouth a sort of 'thanks' as he goes.]

Suddenly Roxas finds himself on the defensive, which for him is a horrible place to be. He can't catch his footing well enough to turn the tide. Even the reappearance of Oatheeper does nothing for him. He's being overwhelmed by someone. It's pushing him to take steps backwards, to put space between him and Zoro as well. This man is particularly good. It's bound to happen, Roxas can't possibly be the best in the world, but it's only serving to make him frustrated. He begins to hit harder, but it's a little wilder too. Anger doesn't really help his skills all that much.]

He slashes hard to push off his own opponent and then twists his body, bringing two swords over the third and then spiraling out of the stance to unleash a 108-Pound Cannon across the deck. It's an invisible attack, a rush of cutting air, but if Roxas needs to, all he has to do is shove his guy backwards into it. Other peons are already falling along the path of the Cannon, cuts and slashes appearing on their bodies as if out of nowhere.
The officer he was fighting sees this and yelps something about a Demon's Egg, about a pirate who used that same attack. Zoro turns to glare at him, and grin.]
No, I'm not her. That's no Demon's Egg, that's just me.
[and he launches himself at the surprised officer with renewed vigor]

Zoro definitely deserves his thanks after this. He whirls around again to take on some more men but the numbers are thinning at last. There can only be so many men on this particular ship after all. It's just as well because this is something of an endurance run and he's going to reach his limit sooner or later. He can already feel the twinge in his shoulder.]

He backs over to where Roxas is, keeping his swords at the ready]
You guys are here for the shard too, huh? Where do you think they're keeping it?
no subject
Yeah, I think that's what we came for, but I dunno. I think Gaius is going to get it. I'm not good at finding stuff, or remembering to get stuff. I just take people out.

...shit! If he gets it before I do...!
No offense, Roxas, but I'm after it too and I ain't gonna let anyone else get it.
[but rather than hurt any fellow pirates, he's just going to race them to it. Which means abandoning Roxas where he is and racing across the deck to the forecastle. What? It's a door into a cabin, it's probably the place where they keep treasure! Even if it's completely in the wrong direction.]
