With the nightmares finally subsided, the Spades weigh anchor at the next island. Thankfully, the entire thing is full of water parks! Your generous Commanders will find a way to work out a deal with one of the medium sized parks on the waterfront for an extended stay pass- discounted, of course, since they'll be buying in bulk, but if you want to go to the other ones you'll do it on your own coin- or have to sneak in. Make sure to read the island description, there's a TON of things to do here! Catchalls, dated threads, etc, whatever. Just jump in, have fun, and to hell with fiddly particulars. I have no idea how long we'll be here.

[At some point in the early afternoon, Namur makes his way out of the waves and flops down with his arm over Selphie, then proceeds to almost go to sleep.]

*Selphie was lying happily on her back, eyes closed behind some large shades. That was when she felt something damp and heavy suddenly fall across her chest. Immediately, Selphie sat up, trying to push whatever it was off her while she gave a shriek of fright*

[It's enough to snap him out of his sleepy content state, not just his head but his whole body leaping up to face whatever danger made his sister scream.]

[But he doesn't sense anything out of the ordinary. After tasting the air again just to make sure, he furrows his brow and looks down at Selphie quizzically.]

The hell y' screamin' 'bout?

*Selphie struggles a moment more to get the shades on top of her head, then she notices Namur with wide eyes, which instantly become narrowed*

Namu-ur!

*His name clearly said like a reprimand as she grabs his arm and starts tugging it and pulling it, clearly taken offence by it as if it was a creature of its own*

I thought there was a fish on my boobs! Or something! What are trying to sleep on me?!

*And she can't help it if she goes a little bit red at that, and not just because of the sun*

Oh. Damn. Jus' thought... Cuz yer my sister, y' know? Wasn't grabbin' or nothin'...

[He sits heavily in the sand, finally bothering to brush off the grains stuck to his front.]

Sorry.

[Is there any way he can explain himself? Probably not without making it worse. Best leave it at that.]</small.

Huh?

*Selphie swiftly pushes the glasses back down over her eyes, suddenly feeling rather stupid and sheepish for the way that she reacted. She nods at his apology*

That's okay. I just...got a surprise is all.

*And to hide her slight embarrassment, she turned to lie back down, this time on her stomach*

Are you gonna sunbathe with me?

[Yeah, no. He got the message. Make no sudden movements and be sure to state brotherly intent. It's fine. He doesn't want to make her scared.]

Mm.

[He mumbles a general agreement, as that had been the plan in the first place, and scratches the back of his head.]

If y'll let me, anyway.

[booyaka_boom]

*Still lying on her stomach, Selphie turns her face to look at Namur better, smiling apologetically*

Of course! I'd like someone to talk to.

*And just in case he was unsure she patted the sand beside her*

[Namur stretches out in the sand, resting his head on his forearms.]

Likin' this island so far?

*Selphie gives a long satisfied sigh in answer, smiling with a small nod*

Mhm. Things have been so - I dunno, crappy lately. So I'm loving that I have the time to relax. How bout you?

Yeah, 's a fun island t' land on after all that shit. Y' was a li'l pup 'gain, wasn't y'?

Mmhm. I was. It was pretty weird...

*She smiles at Namur, then turns over onto her back again and wriggles while she gets comfortable*

So there was that. And then - y'know, jsut stuff.

How's shit with all yer boys?

[Yes, Namur's nosy. He just wants his sister to be as happy as she can be.]

*Selphie looks surprised at such a phrase and turns to push his shoulder playfully*

What are you even talking about?

Well y' got a couple y' had yer eye on right? Dish, girl! I ain't one a 'em so y' ain't gotta hide nothin'.

[He lets her push knock him sideways more than it should have, so he can have the momentum going the other way to lean almost completely against her. His fin probably makes a really nice sunblock, though.]

*She looks rather alarmed at this, wondering what Namur knows, and what he might just be speculating about. Selphie makes a noise when he leans against her, and she looks at him just a moment before glancing away*

I don't know what you're talking about. But FINE maybe it has happened to be related to people who might happen to be male...

[He has to lean back the other way in order to look at her again, his chin against his shoulder, eyes bright.]

C'mon, Sel! Ain't tryin' t' impress me an' even if y' wanted t' y' ain't gotta try, so dish. What shit's goin' on makin' y' be all like y'know, just stuff.

[The last bit is an impersonation of the way she'd said the same words earlier.]

*That impersonation gets a pout from Selphie, and she playfully gives a bit of a weak shove to his shoulder. Then she sits up and hugs her knees to her chest, brushing sand from her legs and looking at her toes*

...I broke up with Aya...

Aw shit.

[Namur sits up too and turns so they're facing the same direction, and distractedly knocks sand off his arms as he talks. His attention is focused on Selphie.]

He a jerk or somethin'? Find 'im an' kick his ass if y' want. When'd it happen?

Well... He left. Changed crew and didn't...seem to mind that we barely saw each other any more. He wanted me to go with him but - I couldn't leave you guys. No way.

*Selphie swallowed, and readjusted her sunglasses over her eyes*

Then there was that island and... and more happened there than had between me and Aya...

*Yes, she was sitting next to someone that she had been more intimate with than with her previous boyfriend*

And everything just got scrambled up inside. And I realised... I didn't feel the same way that he felt for me...

[His eyebrow raises to learn that the island was the furthest she'd ever been. Shit, no wonder she felt like she'd mucked up hardcore. She knew about a hell of a lot more than she'd done, then, if their "art discussions" were any indication.

Damn.

By some miracle, Namur manages to keep his mouth shut about it. Truly a once in a lifetime occurrence. He listens to the tone of her voice, and sniffs at the air a little as she talks, trying to catch everything she was saying- not just with her words but with her entire being.]

Man, that's rough. Mean, better in the end cuz it ain't fair t' neither a y' t' keep pretendin', but shit. Ain't no good with this kinda thing either. Mean. 'S happened a time or two 'fore but it ain't like I get all caught up stickin' all my pearls in one oyster, y' know? Guessin' shit still ain't good 'tween y' an' Ikki either, huh? Too bad y' couldn't a hooked up with him there at Dickshit Island. Sheheh! Boy wouldn't that a solved a couple problems.

[He rolls his eyes and plops his jaw down on his fist, looking forlorn right along with her.]

*Yes, Selphie definitely had known more than what she'd actually done. In some part that was thanks to her talks over Namur's drawings, but also because of the many romantic novels she'd read, and thanks to some of her conversations with friends*

It is more fair this way. And the problem was that I had my pearls in...more than one oyster. But I shouldn't have. I really shouldn't. Or...something.

*Selphie sighs at the thought, knowing that the entire time she was with Aya that she loved Ikki, and that in itself was unfair. At his mention of Ikki, Selphie practically jumps beside him, feet kicking the sand. She laughs, a little too awkwardly, and waves a hand in front of her face to cool her down*

Ahaha! Ha! Yeah...well...too bad. Or..y'know, not too bad...

*She won't just come out and say that it happened, but it is rather obvious*

[Namur's jaw drops, then he starts laughing.]

Holy shit y' totally did! Sheheheheheh! Lord a the Sea, y' got with Ikki. Hell yeah, get it, girl!

[He goes for a high five but a thought hits him right at that moment, and the high five drops to a pointed finger.]

Wait.

Didn't freak out or some shit afterwards, did he? 'S that why y's all sad?

*Selphie just vigorously shakes her head, because she's not actually sure how she's supposed to react, but her cheeks are much more obviously red. Then she can't help but give a pleased giggle. She turns to Namur, understanding his concern, but again she shakes her head, this time to show that he's definitely wrong in what he's thinking*

Oh! Oh no, nothing like that at all. He didn't freak out or anything so it's - it's fine. It's good.

*Missing out the part about how she and Ikki have kinda hooked up once or twice since leaving that island. That stuff is way too private for her to say*

[It's ironic that they're both blushing because Namur himself does not factor into this equation but damn his mothers blushing genes he can't help it.]
