[his second...no third...no maybe fourth favorite thing! After swords, booze, and the sexy piece of ass walking next to him.]

[Not even if the women's side is conveniently only separated from the men's by a wooden wall that's easy to accidentally see over??]

There's baths, don't worry. The beauty shit is separate, I think there's two parts. Onsen and spa. ...Though I ain't gonna lie, a massage would be fucking nice.

[Heads up through the entrance, and there's some kinda cable car there that'll take them up to the top of the mountain. Sanji throws himself into an open seat near a window, wanting to have a good view during the ride.]

[he's a lot more restrained as he eases into the next seat over, glancing at the other passengers before taking a look out the window.]

Hm, not bad. Massages...what, like you're that overworked?

[he kids. If only because he's not really any good at giving massages, or he'd offer.]

[Snorts.]

[Lifts a foot and reaches across to nudge Zoro's knee, smirking a little in a teasing way.]

Maybe they got really pretty ladies working on that side. You don't mind, right?

[he's all good for like two seconds, and then a rather surprising rush of jealousy flushes his neck. It's not that he doesn't trust the ladies, but the cook would enjoy getting a rubdown from them way too much. Tries to play it down, though.]

Mind? Why would I mind? It's not like they're gonna give you the time of day after they poke and prod your skinny ass.

[so lame, since he knows that ass isn't skinny at all anymore. His insults are suffering from this newfound tangle of feelings.]

[B'awww, poor Zoro... Though Sanji just kind of arches an eyebrow at him, because that flush is certainly curious. He eyes him a little, trying to figure out what exactly caused it, but after a beat he lets it drop and instead gives a soft harrumph, turning to look out his window and watch as they coast along. It's definitely a nice view of the beaches down below and the blue water that stretches out beyond.]

Mah, well, they'd give me the time of day while they were poking and prodding my very fit ass.

[Can't help provoking him apparently, though. Oi.]

[Can't help snarking back. Oops. He slumps a bit, bumping his shoulder into Sanji but still sort of avoiding his gaze. How do you own up to not wanting anyone else touching someone? It feels stupid and possessive but Zoro still feels it. Shit, he really doesn't want to get into a fight, not with oblivious locals around.

He rubs his face to cool himself down and sighs.]

Never mind. I can't stop you if you wanna.

[Gives the slightest eye roll and huffs a bit, though he does glance back at him when that shoulder bumps into his.

And then promptly feels a little bad because Zoro looks all...something. Annoyed and maybe uncomfortable with it for some reason. Though...Sanji's not completely clueless. He thinks about it for another moment, and yeah, he can maybe sort of guess why.

Zoro's just been putting up with his shit for so long, he hadn't thought about what would happen if it ever actually became a problem. Hmm.]

...Oi. [Leans over to poke his temple.] I ain't getting a shitty massage, you idiot. I didn't drag you up here just to ditch you and go get felt up by some pretty girl.

[AS NICE AS THAT WOULD BE...assuming Sanji even survived it and didn't die via nosebleed explosion.

[that sufficiently gets his attention, turning his head. Zoro's lip twitches and then he breathes another sigh. That wasn't fair of him and he knows it.]

You can if you want to, I guess. Though maybe if I feel you up enough first, you won't need to.

[Hurr. Lame attempt at innuendo is very lame. He's already stumbling over his feelings, he's going to have to re-adjust. Again.]

[Politely holds back a snort, though the corner of his mouth does tug upwards in amusement.]

This would be a pretty risqué place if their girls offered the same kinda feeling up I get from you on a regular basis. Don't think I saw brothel services listed anywhere under their amenities, though.

[A comment which draws a somewhat baffled look from some dude in the seat across from them, who Sanji manfully ignores. Ahem. He leans more into Zoro, pressing up against his shoulder and letting a hand casually come to rest just above his knee.]

Real fucking pity. Guess I'll have to keep being satisfied with you, marimo.

[he looks at the hand on his thigh, and then at Sanji, and it pretty much clicks. Teasing aside, it really is dumb to be so possessive when things wouldn't actually turn out like his worst imaginations, and just like that, he's over it.

Mostly. It may rear its ugly head once in a while but...

He decides to spite the wary onlooker and drapes an arm over the back of their seats, conveniently resting against the cook's shoulders]

Guess it's up to me to make sure you're good and satisfied, then.

[Laughs a little, lifting his other hand to find the one Zoro has draped over his shoulder so he can threads their fingers together.]

Something tells me it ain't gonna be much of a problem for you.

[He lets go of Zoro's hand after a moment because he can really only do PDA for so long...it's a gradual thing, they're getting better at it, at least! And he doesn't pull away, so there's that. Just lets himself rest against Zoro until they reach the top of the mountain a few minutes later.]

[Oh thank fuck the ride is over, because Zoro is suddenly finding it very difficult to keep his hands off the cook. In any capacity. The brush of fingers against his makes him suck in a quick breath, and it takes all of his restraint not to throw himself against Sanji right then and there. They're still touching just enough, he can take it. But as soon as the car comes to a stop, he's already out of his seat, eager to drag them somewhere private to actually indulge in the various feelings racing like fire under his skin.

At least it doesn't seem like there's too many people in the onsen at this time of day. Most normal tourists are either having a spa day or down on the beach, so they might be able to get it to themselves for a bit. At least, so Zoro hopes as they step inside and check things out.]

[Seems about right, most people look like they're heading towards the spa. Which is fiiiine by Sanji, he knows what Zoro's hurried pace to get somewhere where they'll (presumably) be alone means. He grins a little to himself and quickly gets them checked in at the front desk.

Moments later, they're being led off to the side of the facility where the baths are, and it is, indeed, basically empty. And large, too, so they definitely shouldn't have any trouble getting some privacy.

Sanji glances at Zoro, arching his eyebrow a bit.]

Not bad, huh?

[walks past him as they step into the onsen area, looking around in interest. A nice big bath, steaming hot, wood paneling, even bamboo (although it might be fake) to set the mood.]

Not bad at all. Pretty swanky for a bath.

[he tosses an idle grin Sanji's way as he starts by stripping off his shirt again]

It's damn big...

[Toes off his shoes and unbuttons his shirt so he can strip that off, as well. His totally cool manpris are next, and everything is OF COURSE folded up all nice and neat as he removes it.]

We need to find a place like this back home and take everyone.

[for once, he doesn't just toss clothes everywhere - this isn't the ship, after all. But no folding either, just a nice, slightly-sandy pile next to Sanji's. Boots on the floor, haramaki and bandanna, and then his pants last since everybody knows by now there's nothing under them]

Think there's something like this in the New World? All you gotta do is say 'bath party' around Luffy and he'll drag us all there in a heartbeat.

I figure there's gotta be, right? Somewhere that's not in the middle of being taken over by some asshole or other.

[Shucks off his FRESHLY WASHED THANKS LUFFY boxers, and speaking of sandy... He gives Zoro a light shove toward the bath stools.]

C'mon, gotta rinse off.

Law never did tell us what Zou was like.

[yeah, yeah, he's going, he's going. He is still pretty sandy across the middle of his back, and maybe a tad sweaty. A good wash will do him good before they soak.

He fills a tub and plops down on a stool to get to washing, no big fuss made. Though, he does glance up as if to make sure Sanji is going to help him out.]

Mm...

[Of course he's gonna help, clearly Zoro needs his assistance. :P

He drops down on the stool next to his, filling up a bucket and reaching for the soap before turning toward him so he can get all that sand off his back. It's silent for a moment as he lathers him up, but eventually he speaks again.]

It'd be fun having a bath party with the others. Shit, when's the last time we did that with all of us? When we were at Vivi-chan's place? And that wasn't even all of us.

[They were minus Franky and Brook (and Robin) way back then. There might occasionally be a mini bath party with a handful of them on Sunny, but they've never all crowded in there.

Sanji sighs a little.]

...I miss those idiots.

[turns at the right time to let Sanji get all of his back, while he makes quick work of the rest of himself]

I don't think we ever have - not since getting Sunny. Even though Franky built us a great bath, we could all fit if we wanted.

[all the guys anyway, because cook you know Nami's Happiness Punch will kill you dead...

He's silent for a long moment, soaping down to the scars on his ankles, following Sanji's sigh. When he speaks, it's quiet and low.]

I do, too.

[losing Robin, even briefly, felt like forever - it felt like it was really down to just the three of them, plus their special new crewmates here. For as much as he tries to be the strong one, and not let it appear to affect him, Zoro can be honest with the cook. Right down to admitting his worries. They've got Robin back, but there's still five people he misses painfully right now.]

...It's a great bath, but I ain't getting in the shitty thing with seven of us.

[Just because they'd all fit doesn't mean they should, also he's not actually sure about that. What with Franky these days... Goddamn, he can just picture it now, being crowded in there with all those morons and Luffy and Usopp goofing off and water everywhere. Nami-san would probably smack them all around after, both for the mess and the noise.

Ahh...

Sanji lets out a soft laugh, leaning forward for a moment to rest his forehead against the back of Zoro's neck.]

One day.

[They'll see them again one day.

He reaches down for the bucket, dumping it over Zoro's back.]

Mm. Yeah...

[that little touch is enough to send another pang racing through him, but a slightly different one this time - one of longing and loss, and deep memory. Zoro manages to swallow how it makes him feel, letting the water running down his body wash it away. He's totally fine when he shakes off the last of the water and turns around to reciprocate.]

C'mere...

[before Sanji can turn around, Zoro bends to grab one of his feet, and props it up on his knee to give it a good scrub. Not that his feet are terribly dirty, but he feels like doing it. These are dangerous weapons, after all, they have to be cared for properly.]

[—Oh okay. Well then! Sanji just blinks at first, the move taking him by surprise, but after a moment of Zoro's hands working over his foot he finds himself squirming a little and his face going warm.

Has anyone ever even touched his feet like this before? Not that he can recall. He didn't think he was ticklish or anything, but damn. And more than that, it feels really good.]

Mm, so apparently I will get a massage, huh?

[Wriggles his toes a little.]

Maybe.

[he's definitely no expert, but while he washes, he rubs the sole of Sanji's foot with his thumbs, so yeah. Massage. Then over the top of his foot and up as far as his calf, giving the muscle a good, appreciative squeeze. Zoro doesn't draw it out too much though, finishing up with one and moving to the other, and honestly doing his best not to tickle.]

Gotta keep the Black Leg in shape, you know.
