Meep Manhunt!

Who: Anyone who expressed interest in going after Meep and received a letter from Scurvey Dog.
Where: Anygrav Moon
When: August 9th-22nd
What: The mission begins! Dog asked for help rescuing Meep and it's you lot who've responded. Try to bring him back in one piece, eh?
Warnings: Possible violence...?
Style: Any!
Status: Closed to those involved!
The island is covered by a familiar mist that rolls across the ground. Fortunately for you, it's not going to bring nightmares to life this time, but it definitely lends to the general feeling of unease that fills the place. That isn't helped by the fact that though the population here was never very large, it certainly must be even smaller now.
It's the dead, lifeless husks along the beach that make that much obvious.
There's no sign of battle, and all the bodies appear unmarked. It's as though they suddenly dropped right where they were standing, as if something completely and abruptly drained them of energy.
Watch your step as you make your way inland. Wouldn't it be a shame if the same thing happened to you?

Slow down you idiot. We need to make sure we go the right way. Otherwise we'll end up in another fucking room like this.
[Places like this, there is no telling what could have happened behind them after that collapse, one trap sets off another and another. For all she knows there is only one right hall.
She yanks him around to look him right in the eye.]
From now on in this place you listen to me. You may fight better than I do but this kind of place is where I live.
[Lorelai has no chill...
She nocks an arrow into her bow and shoots it at the floor a bit down the hallway he was moving towards, causing jets of fire to explode out from the walls]
Idiot.

[Oh good, Lorelai's taking care of Zoro.]
Miss Lorelai is right! We need to be more careful about which way we go! This place is old on top of trapped, so there's no telling what we might trig- gah!
[He blinks and stares at the fire that bursts within the hallway.]
Wow! Good thinking, Miss Lorelai! Zoro could have been roasted alive!
no subject
Sure, good, let's stay down here...
[Grumble mutter.
But then he turns a a brighter look on Lorelai.]
Your lead, then!
no subject
Fine, you do that.
[though he cocks a look at Sanji] You're really gonna let her go first, Mr. Prince?
no subject
Lorelai-chan is the shitty temple master...
[Still, though, he does sweep into a bow in front of her, arm held across his stomach.]
But if she'd like me to be her human shield, I'm more than willing~!! Whatever makes it easier for you to work, Lorelai-chwaaan!
[Better, marmimo? 8|
...It strikes him as a little odd that he had to be provoked into that, but. Hmm.]

Hmmph. Lyrik, can you send a flood of water down the other halls and tell me if it hits anything that might be a trigger plate or deep cracks in the ground?
no subject
[He opens the several canteens he carries, upending one after the other as he carefully gathers the water into a floating ball before it can splatter on the ground. It's hardly flood-worthy, but he closes his eyes, letting the watery orb split between the halls, sliding fluidly along the ground.]
....there's...a couple of places cut into the ground in some areas down that way...
I'm not getting anything from the other tunnel, but I'm not really sure either.
no subject
We could probably handle some shitty chopped up floor, but the other tunnel sounds safer. Safe might be misleading, though.
[Glances at Lorelai.]
What do you think?
no subject
[She gives Lyrik a big smile and annoyingly ruffles his hair]
We take the hall that's free. Shitty chopped up floor usually means pitfalls or spikes which usually mean death. I like you idiots. I'd prefer to not have to tell the others that you got your dumb asses killed.
[She immediately slings her bow back on her shoulder before unsnapping the snaps holding the scythe to her back and swings it in front of her before starting her way down the hall.]

[it's not a denial or an opinion, to him, it's a state of fact. At the very least, he and Sanji aren't going to die from some fire or spikes, not after what they've been through.
He claps a hand to Lyrik's shoulder to thank him for the good work and moves past, vaguely in the direction of the indicated tunnel. There's still enough distance to the door that he could swerve and miss it, yet.]
You sure you wanna go first, Lorelai?
[he needled Sanji for fun, but all things considered he'll still go first - or shove the cook down the tunnel - if she wants them to.]
Feel free to god mod her a little bit if you gotta the next couple days while I'm at work.
[She's frustrated with this. I mean sure she died horrible in front of them, but that was zombies on a boat, this was an old ruin, her home away from home.
She walks right past him and starts moving down the hall.]
no subject
All the same, I'd rather you didn't die...or anyone else for that matter.
[He remembers all too well when they'd lost Lorelai, and even if she's there with them, it hurts all the same. He hadn't been able to do anything about it. Would he be able to help any of them now if something like that came up again?]
no subject
[Seriously, fuck pitfalls, Sanji could just jump 'em. BUT he'll follow Lorelai's lead, of course. She's so sexy when she takes charge like this~~!!!
He falls in line with the rest of them, hands tucked into his pockets and ready to kick anything in the face -- especially any spiders -- that comes at him.]
no subject
So what're we looking for? Anybody got any idea about this Meep guy?
no subject
I don't think I heard any specifics aside from that he was here...
no subject
[Dodging fire, spikes, arrows, and shitty spiders along the way, of course.
Eventually the path they took leads to an open room with really high walls, though. A room where the gravity suddenly decides to work in reverse and sends them flying up toward the ceiling -- floor?? -- at alarming speed.
It's pretty similar to this room, actually.
...Okay, so it is that room. At least the Hazmats already opened the door for them?
But first, that gravity thing. Sanji's whole stomach lurches as he tries to flip around and right himself, and this time he does manage to reach an arm out and loop it around Lorelai's waist, his other hand grabbing the back of Lyrik's shirt so that they don't crash into the ground.]
Jesus, what the shit?!
[TIME FOR SKY WALK AGAIN. ...Though he might Sky Walk them into one of the walls accidentally. Look, it's hard to do that while you're upside down and in the middle of flipping around and everything else, okay??]
no subject
YOU RUNE BLASTED IDIOT! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!
no subject
The important thing is he is being a KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR and getting them to the floor -- ceiling -- whatever -- safely! ...Mostly! He slows their decent, anyway.
This was a totally necessary heroic move.]
no subject
Gah!
[Lyrik jerks about, but finds himself anchored by Sanji's grasp at least. Unfortunately it isn't the most smooth of transitions. Ugh, he's not even sure which way is the right way anymore.]
no subject
Sorry, sorry! My apologies, Lorelai-chan, you're not hurt, right?? I just didn't want you to fall!
[Then he (belatedly) looks around to figure out what happened to Zoro.]
Ah...marimo, you good?
