[This will be a general catch-all post for mingling! I'll just toss in weather for the next 2 weeks.]

10/16 - 10/20 [AT SEA, SAILING SOUTHWEST] - We'll mingle at our leisure! Ace's Devil Fruit power will push the weather at bay a little and it'll be mostly sunny skies. Also, they may encounter a ghost ship... OK, they will.

10/21 - 10/22 [ARRIVAL TO HEARTLESS ISLAND, LEAVING ON THE 22ND] - You guys can't blame Ace for a hasty escape this time!

10/23 - 10/25 [AT SEA, SAILING ?????] - The crew will be dealing with a sudden squall pending the arrival of a hurricane from the other side of the Heartless Island. As the crew may have to put everything into avoiding the hurricane, their course will be a bit... off.

10/26 - 10/27 [STONE NEST / KRAKEN NEST] - 'Nuff said. They'll leave once it becomes apparent they have nothing else to gain from being there. The weather, upon leaving, will likely be sunny because of Ace.

10/28 - 10/31 [FREE SAILING, MAYBE ISLAND #3'S INITIAL JOURNEY] - Barf. Ghost ships Round 2!

I appreciate that. [He genuinely did. The last thing he needs is someone being overly friendly and calling him by his first name, reminding him of Tohru all the time.]

[It might be rude, it might not, Natsuno doesn't really know. He's not usually a liar, so he openly answers him.]

I never expected it to be like that. [He frowns.] I guess it's something I didn't understand until I felt the bloodlust. It takes longer...I don't know if it's because I had some before I came, or if it's naturally that way. There isn't anyone I can ask. The other Jinrou didn't tell me much about it, then again...he probably doesn't know. He just goes around drinking people like they're food.

[He hangs his head a little.] Now I've bitten two people. But it can never happen again. Elissa's wrong about that...and Thatch doesn't want me biting anyone either, or I'll be answering to him.

[darknessinside]

[Frowns a little.]

How are you supposed to get through it if you can't bite anyone? I mean...Ace seemed okay after last time.

[Yeeeah, he watched that whole thing.]

Is it possible you could accidentally turn someone?

It won't kill me. It hurts, the desire is really overwhelming. But I won't die, it will just stay with me.

[He sighs a bit, softly.]

I never wanted to bite people in the first place. I can't turn anyone unless I kill them and I need to drink from them for three, maybe four days in a row for that. Not everyone turned even though they died like I did. I was bitten over five days, so my blood couldn't replenish and my organs shut down. One bite doesn't do much harm. It's the third and finally the fourth one finishes you off.

Okay, but...that sucks. And it's not okay, you can't just suffer through it day after day.

And there's enough of us on the crew, it's not like you'd have to drink from the same person all the time. We'd have plenty of time to...to replenish our blood and stuff.

[reluctantjinrou]

There's other things but...they're not important. [He looks out at the sea again, slouching on the railing.]

It isn't realistic to feed me. I can't even blame people. I wouldn't...I wouldn't have fed some vampire I just met. Tohru-chan was the only exception. Although in the end I suppose I did feed him, just not in the way I wanted to. People who know me, don't trust me. I'm dangerous.

[He sighs a little.] It's true. I don't drink very often. All the same, people don't want vampires around. It's just the way it is. Listen to me, like I'm even considering carrying on. What's wrong with me?

[Natsuno murmurs that, more for his benefit.]

[Rolls his eyes.]

You're not really someone we just met anymore, though. If we're going to be on the same crew together, then we all have a responsibility to keep you from going crazy because you haven't eaten.

[Pins a look on him.]

You're not actually still thinking of having someone kill you, are you?

[reluctantjinrou]

Really...It's okay. I don't expect people to offer themselves up to me. I can't ask that of someone.

[He sighs and shuffles his feet.]

That would be the ideal solution all around. It wouldn't even be a concern if I weren't here.

[He is getting used to being with the crew, and he's attached to Logan and Sora without realizing it. Even Riku seems nice. He'd always swore he'd die, it was part of his crusade...however, he looks a little scared. The manners in which he'd ask for, were going to hurt. A lot. He'd already died one painful death. He wasn't sure anymore he was up for another one. His confusion, his hesitation is all over his face.]

[darknessinside]

[Huffs out an exasperated breath.]

That solution is far from ideal. You HAVE people who would offer themselves up, so it shouldn't be a problem. What did Thatch say he'd do if he caught you biting anyone?

[reluctantjinrou]

[He sighs.]

He didn't. He just said I would answer to him.

[Was he intimidated? Yeah. Thatch was huge.]

[Raises an eyebrow.]

Well...maybe he's just protective of Ace. They're from the same world and all. What if you just didn't tell him?

[reluctantjinrou]

Believe me, I'm not about to go around telling him anything.

[In fact you could say, it didn't sound like Natsuno was impressed with Thatch at all.]

See, then how would he even know?

I'm not sure. People here seem to have a variety of different ways they know things. If I can just be stronger, I can bear with it.

[darknessinside]

How are you supposed to be stronger if you're not eating how you're supposed to?

[reluctantjinrou]

I mean mentally. It...it was weakness that I gave into it.

[He sighs and puts his hand to his head.]

I didn't expect this. I didn't know it would be like that.

[darknessinside]

Oh.

[He sighs, propping his chin up with a fist.]

Well, still. I think it's a weakness most people would give into. And even if you can become mentally stronger and hold out for longer, it doesn't mean it won't happen again.

People don't really want to be bitten by a vampire though. I can't blame them, I didn't.

[darknessinside]

Maybe not, but you've proven you can stop before it gets too dangerous...

[He nods.]

I actually drank all I can in one shot when I bit Ace. It takes a few times to actually kill someone. The third time in a row is really when you get there, the agony...

[darknessinside]

[Nods as well, looking thoughtful as he considers that.

Then he just comes out with it.]

Yuuki, what I'm saying is that if you need to drink from someone, I'm...I volunteer. You can bite me.

[Natsuno blinks in surprise.]

You...you don't mind?

[Why is he even thinking about this? Didn't he not want to bite people? But it hurt. So much. If nothing else, he knows he's going to need it.]

Riku. I can make sure it doesn't hurt, afterwards. Ace said no, but I can manage that.

[darknessinside]

[Shrugs.]

I really don't. And hey, if it doesn't hurt, then there's really no point not doing it, right?

We, uh...we just won't tell the others.

[reluctantjinrou]

[Natsuno looks relieved.]

I appreciate it. I wish I could say I won't take you up on it, but I might have to.

It does hurt a bit when I bite and during but it only lasts a few seconds, then I can hypnotize it away.

[darknessinside]

It's not a problem, don't worry about it.

[He looks unconcerned about whatever pain there might be.]

Do you... How often do you need to eat?

Well...last time I waited an entire month. I can do that.

[It's painful though, really painful.]

It's a bit of a cycle. I start to weaken after a week and by the third week I start to feel bloodlust...it just gets stronger from there. Until I satisfy it or, well I guess, something kills me.
