When: Anytime during the Halloween Event!
What: SORA IS DEAD, Riku is a vampire, basically this week has sucked. :|
Warnings: Depressed Riku, I guess -- trying to keep his mopey lame times contained in one place, haha.
Style: Whichever! But I'm probably sticking with [brackets].
Status: Closed to the crew, whoever is interested (if anyone, totally cool if you want to avoid Riku being pathetic everywhere lol).


[Riku is basically either holed up in his and Sora's room, staring blankly at nothing, or he's up in the crow's nest, watching the sea. He'll still do whatever duties he has around the ship, of course, but his brain is totally elsewhere and overall he's not going out of his way to talk to anyone really. Save maybe Kairi if she's around.

Also that whole bloodlust thing? Yeah. He's ignoring it. And ignoring the need to eat or drink anything at all, really. WHO NEEDS SUSTENANCE. 8D]

[He's quiet for a moment, trying to think of what to say. The waters are so calm and peaceful. It wasn't really right.]

When you're close to someone, a friend, they can be forgiven for almost anything. It's the same with me and Tohru. I don't blame him in the least for the things he's done. Like he could do no wrong. I think that's how Sora felt about you.

[Squeezes his eyes more tightly shut for a moment, rubbing a hand over them, then exhales harshly and draws his knees up, resting his chin on them and glaring at the opposite end of the crow's nest.]

It's not fair.

No. It isn't.

[Natsuno agrees with that, one hundred percent. Hesitantly he reaches over and puts his hand on Riku's arm, just for a moment. It seems like the right thing to do.]

[darknessinside]

[That makes his breath hitch and he has to close his eyes again briefly in an attempt to keep his emotions in check.]

...He did so much for everyone, and we'd only just gotten back home. That's all he wanted after all that, to be home, and then we came here so quickly. It wasn't supposed to end like this.

[He turns his face toward Natsuno, though he still keeps his head pillowed against his arms.]

How are you doing?

[Home, huh? That's a nice thought for most people, and for someone like Sora, he could see it. He pulled his hand away and pillowed his own head again.]

You don't have to worry about me.

[darknessinside]

[The corner of his mouth quirks upward.]

Of course I do. He'd want me to check on you. [Pause.] Not that that's the only reason I'm asking.

I came up here for you though.

[Natsuno sighs a bit and looks at Riku again.]

It's...I was fond of Sora. I haven't been thinking about it.

[He places his palm against his forehead.]

Forcing myself not to. I didn't know him as well as Tohru-chan but the pain is...similar.

I can't imagine going through this twice. I don't think I'd be able to.

[Redirects his gaze forward again.]

Not even sure I can do it once.

[reluctantjinrou]

[He sighs softly but nods a little at him.]

It's not as hard the second time. You kind of know what to expect so to speak. But it doesn't really make it better. You can do it...you just shouldn't have to.

[He put his chin on his arms.]

Maybe I should have bitten him.

[darknessinside]

Bitten...Sora? What, and turned him?

[Sounds like he doesn't really know how he feels about that.]

I don't know. Maybe.

[He sighs.]

It probably wouldn't have helped even if that happened. He'd be angry, without a doubt. The odds of it working are pretty low, too.

[darknessinside]

...It wouldn't have worked anyway, regardless of the odds.

[He manages to grin a bit.]

By the time you saw him, you weren't a vampire anymore. So...maybe I should have bitten him.

[reluctantjinrou]

[He hides his face in his arms, and when he speaks it's a little muffled.]

I spoke without thinking. I'm sorry. I just...don't want him to be dead.

[How messed up was it that he came up here to comfort Riku, but Riku was comforting him?]

Don't apologize...

[Lets his eyes slide shut again and sighs, before bumping his shoulder against Natsuno's.]

I'm right there with you.

[reluctantjinrou]

Thank you.

[He's grateful to have someone to sit with, even though really he's supposed to be doing the comforting. But maybe they can just commiserate together.]

Not to distract you, but have you eaten?

[darknessinside]

[Turns his face away this time. He's been trying not to think about that.]

No.

[reluctantjinrou]

I think you should.

[Natsuno speaks firmly.]

This is hard enough as it is...going mad from bloodlust isn't going to help you any.

[darknessinside]

[Groans a bit.]

I'm really not hungry.

[It's partially true... He's got a weird thing going where he's too miserable to even think about eating, though that underlying need and want, different from normal hunger, has steadily grown over the past couple days.]

Probably as a vampire you can't eat normal food anyway. I know the Shiki couldn't. They could drink, but that was all. You know what I mean.

[Natsuno sighs softly and pushes his sleeves up again, holding out his arm to Riku. Perhaps the most interesting thing about his arm is the fact he's been bitten already.]

[Which Riku notices when he reluctantly turns to look at him.]

...Someone got to you already.

[reluctantjinrou]

I wouldn't say that, I made her. I can make you too.

[Natsuno warned with a flash of his canines.]

So it's just easier to bite me and be done with it.

[darknessinside]

[Raises an eyebrow.]

Yeah? And just how are you gonna do that?

[reluctantjinrou]

The werewolf thing comes with a lot of strength.

[He arches an eyebrow.]

I'd rather not though, it's tiring. Think of it as returning a favour if you have to, but you should eat Riku. I don't know if thirst can kill you. I don't think we want to find out.

[darknessinside]

Fine, maybe I should eat, but just how much blood do you think you have?

[Gestures at his arm.]

How long ago did that happen?

Fortunately, I know the answer to that. It was a couple days ago. Besides that, I can do another bite.

[Wanting to is another matter, but fair is fair. It's not so bad when he can move.]

And I had a cure spell put on me, I feel fine.
