PIRATES vs. NAVY BATTLE LOG

December 9th finds some new arrivals to this world, the same curious phenomenon that's been occurring for the past few months.
This time, however, the Navy is prepared -- or so they think.
They've got troops stationed around the island, and ships on the water to stop any arrogant, foolhardy pirates and would-be sailors from trying to make port.
So hit them with all you've got, but they're not going down easily...
BEFORE THE MADNESS - MILES OUT
Sneaking around on a ship, though--while he could still argue it was courteous--was exceptionally difficult. They snuffed their lanterns and started their route towards the patrols, looking to sneak between them. If they were caught, Ace's strike force would play dead, pretending to just be a runaway vessel, already raided. The Navy wouldn't fuss. They would take whatever supplies they needed.
Ace's plan counted on the Navy finding them--not another pirate vessel. Plain as day, he didn't expect anyone to be as crazy as he was, going towards a noted blockade.]
Re: BEFORE THE MADNESS - MILES OUT
Patrol! We can't let them realize what we're doing. Come about and head towards the harbor. Boris get the starboard side guns ready. Load the chain shot!

Knock out anyone's lights? He's resorting to bland jokes; they're definitely in trouble now. At least he can attempt to make himself useful.]
What can I do?

Simply enough, his own motivation for being there had been answered. Infiltration. Clever, but he still wondered why he heard urgency in their voices. Urgency shouldn't have really, truly been felt until they got closer to the blockade.
Or, a Navy ship.]
...Ah. [To which Ace remembered what he was standing on.]

Take the helm and keep her steady unless i say so kid.
Boris when they come in range aim to take out the mast.
[ With the reduced crew the Navy boat was going to over take them easy. Though the Navy ship did look like she was handling a little off. She should have immediately headed towards them to demand they stop. Harlock squinted twards the deck of the other ship. He couldn't see anyone save one person on deck. Which was just strange.]
Elissa that lone crewmen on deck think you could hit him? I want to see something.

To test her theory, she nudged her bow just a bit to the right and released the arrow to hit near Ace rather than aiming directly at the man himself. His reaction ought to provide their answer.

In response, Ace held up the arrow on the flat of his palm and set it aflame. Ace's outline would become more clear, like a black silhouette panned in front of a flame. His fancy hat and mantle were likely easier to see, then. His answer lacked symbolism, rather than him simply saying with his actions, 'That's what I think of that.'

"Playing Navy? Let's help them look more convincing than they are with a little bit of battle damage. Fire!"
The chain shot is a little low and under powered (poor Boris is doing all that work on his lonesome) and takes out the railing sending shrapnel everywhere before hitting the secondary mast. At most it's been cracked.

Still, he had to wonder if his Observation was working. Ace, dimming his flame, crossed his arms and stared at the other ship. After briefly focusing, his eyes made use of his 'Will' and he got a clearer look at the deck, lacking the need for a telescope. There, he saw Harlock's silhouette.
"...Are they tauntin' me or tryin' to make me run?"

You might be able to make him giving you a cocky little salute before ordering Boris to fire another salvo.

She was this close to pointing an arrow in the space pirate's direction. "Are you out of your MIND?"
no subject
"Hey, asshole! Come over here and say that so I can kick your ass!"
Ace, nobody said anything.
